Lenny's POV
I hugged my books tightly against my chest. Crowds, crowds, too many people. Giants, giants, their everywhere. A tall guy bumped into me knocking my books out of my hands.
"Watch it freshie." the guy said and I nodded quickly looking down.
"Sor-Sorry." I stuttered and bent down to pick up my books but my backpack on my back got me unbalanced.
I started to tip over. I closed my eyes, preparing myself for the impact but I never reached it. What I fell into was something warm. I opened my eyes and it was a chest I fell into. I looked up slowly and met green eyes. My eyes widen and I blushed.
"Sor-Sorry." I said and the guy smiled helping me gain my balance again.
"No problem haha I got in the way to catch you." the guy said and picked up my books.
"Tha-Thank you." I said as he handed them to me.
"Your welcome." he said giving me a smile I've never seen before making me blush more. "Welcome to high school." he said and I blinked.
"O-Oh yeah." I said about to walk past him.
"I'm Van by the way, maybe we'll see each other again." I heard him say and I smiled turning around.
"And I'm-" I stopped when I didn't see him anymore and I frowned a bit.
But we did meet again
I looked down with my lunch tray then slowly looked up. All these tables and all these people.
"Hey." a voice said and I turned to look to my right and there was... Van was it?
I smiled blushing and was about to walk to the table he was at but I notice their was lots of jocks and cheerleaders.
"H-Hi." I said and he waved for me to come over.
I bit my lip and shook my head slightly making him frown a bit but then he stood up and walked over to me. I gulped feeling my heart beating faster and my face heat up.
"Hey... your name?" he asked tilting his head like a puppy.
Cute. Gaaaah no Lenny. Bad Lenny.
"Uh Lenny." I said and he smiled.
"Well Len do you want to sit with me?" He asked raising an eyebrow smiling and my face turned red.
"Le-Len?" I said and he took my tray.
"Great, let's go." he said smiling as he walked over to the table with my tray.
Guess I won't be eating because I'm not sitting with-
"Come on slow poke." he said grabbing my arm.
Ugh this is not good. My heart is going out of control.
"This is Lenny, he'll be sitting with us." Van said smiling at everyone.
I could tell most of them didn't want me to sit there but it looks like this Van guy wasn't gonna give me a choice. He was already sitting down so I sat down by him. A cheerleader that was sitting across from me glared at me. I blinked then started eating my food.

After school I started to walk home but a car honked and I turned. It was Van and he was grinning. I blinked and quirked an eyebrow. He shook his head smiling and drove next to me.
"Want a ride?" he asked and my face turned red.
Bad Lenny, don't think like that! Plus he's probably straight. Ugh, stupid hormones.
"Um uh sure... I don't know... I can walk home." I said looking down blushing and he laughed.
"Hop in." he said smiling and I blushed more.
"Okay." I said then he leaned over and opened the door for me.
I was about to get in but he put his hand out. I blinked and tilt my head to the side.
"Your bag." he said laughing.
"Oh." I said flushing and handed him my bag then got in.
He asked me the directions to where I lived I told him. He started the car and let the windows down. As he drove the air was blowing through my hair. He turned on the radio.
I blushed and Van whistled to the song. Then glanced at me smirking.
"He's a really good singer." he said and I nodded.
"Do you like him too?" he asked and I nodded again.
"Can you speak?" he asked laughing and I blushed more.
"Sorry." I mumbled looking down at my lap.
"No need to apologize all the time. Just be you." he said.
Just be me?
"Okay." I said smiling softly and he glanced at me then smiled back.
I hummed to the song as he sung it. Van was a pretty good singer himself. When he parked in front of my house, I was a little sad.
"I guess I'll be leaving." I said frowning and reached for my bag in the back.
"See you soon." he said smiling and I smiled blushing.
"Yeah." I said and he got my bag for me then he handed it to me when I got out.
"Bye Len." he said smiling and I waved to him before he drove off.
As soon as I walked into the house I heard something break. I sighed and walked into the living room gripping my backpack strap.
"Welcome home, sin." dad said and I glared regretting it as soon as I did.
"Come here you piece of shit." he said walking in front of me and I looked down he made me look back up, gripping my chin.
I felt my eyes burn looking back at his gray eyes. He smirked and growled lowly.
"Afraid?" he asked.
