Oliver's POV
"I am not your wife."
"Yeah yeah, alright dear." Eric said smirking and I glared at him as I held a basket under my arm supporting the bottom with my hand.
Yes I had a scarf on my head. Yes it was pink. It was the only scarf I could find that was clean and able to fit on my head. Yes I had a dirty apron on that would look like a dress since I'm wearing shorts which Eric doesn't approve outside. He gets jealous if he sees or even thinks someone looked or is staring. But back to the apron, it was dirty because I'm not the best cook and food splattered on it. Which reminds me, I need to clean it.
I huffed taking the apron off and stuffed into the basket that was already full of dirty clothes. "Such a lazy bast-" I began to grumble as I walked away but he grabbed me from behind. "Ack!" I dropped the basket as I was pulled onto his lap.
"I told you I could help but you said I don't do things right." he said kissing my head making me blush and huff. "Is that still a no to me helping?" he asked.
"Yes." I huffed and he chuckled letting go of me and I got off him picking up the basket only to have my ass met with his hand making me squeak blushing.
I turned around to see him smirking before he sipped some of his Dr. Pepper. I glared blushing before heading my way downstairs to where our washing machine was. We moved, because I wanted more space. Living in a big house makes you feel cramped in a smaller place.
But the bedroom is bigger... hehe. Lots of room for fun activities. I blushed as I put the clothes in. I've become such a perv because of him. It's been a month now since I've been living with him. Two weeks maybe at the old place then the rest here. I turned on the washing machine after doing what I had to do and wanted to just flop down on our comfy bed.
Eric's POV
"Yes I'll visit." I said talking to Sammie as I put the clothes Oliver folded, into my drawers.
"Okay dad but be nice to our dog, if your rough with him then he'll want to be rough with me and I don't like rough."
"I don't think that's what you said to Vincent last night." I smirked and he was quiet.
"Were you spying on us...."
"No son, that's disgusting." I scoffed. "You didn't answer my call until maybe one in the morning sounds kind of off since you don't have college until eight and live nearby." I snorted.
"Fair point." he muttered.
"Okay son well talk to you later I lo-" I began to finish.
"Dad I've been meaning to tell you mom has been calling a lot lately. I finally answered her call and um we talked."
"And?" I said.
"And she's been looking for you."
"Tell her I moved?"
"... No."
"Good boy."
"I'm a dog now?" he asked and I chuckled.
"No." I said smiling. "Well how's wedding planning going?"
"Your suppose to be helping..... and mom is too now."
"Woah woah, what?"
"Dad she's my mom. No matter how crazy she is and pain she's out me through I love her somewhere."
"I don't." I snorted.
"You can't just stop loving someone after loving them. You'll always have them in your heart somewhere."
"Yeah I can."
"Your in denial dad, just like Vincent was to still having Mason in his heart somewhere. I'm just the full package of his heart." I had a feeling Sammie was smirking proudly.
"Yeah yeah son, see you later." I said.
"Okay dad, love you."
"Love you too." I said and hung up.
"Sammie?" I heard a voice say and I was about to turn around before being jumped on.
"Oof." I huffed as Oliver smiled making my heart beat pick up and I smiled as well. "Yes love." he blushed entwining our fingers making me smile.
"Wanna visit them?"
"Sammie and Vincent right? Sure." he said yawning and laid against my chest.
I eventually heard him snoring making me shake my head chuckling. But I soon fell asleep myself.
****
"Eric." she said after opening the door.
"Megan." I said narrowing my eyes as Oliver glared at her.
She pushed the door more open letting us in. I trailed back to keep a distance.
"What is she doing here?" Oliver muttered to me.
"I don't know." I said sighing as we followed her to the living room where Sammie was and a glaring Vincent was.
Guess Vincent had the same feelings about Megan as we did. I say on the couch and Oliver sat next to me, leaving no room for Megan. She decided to take the love seat.
"So.... you guys are really dating." she said softly as Oliver cuddled against me then glared up at her.
"Yes we are, problem?" Oliver said and she smirked.
"Actually yes;" she said then looked at me. "When did you like men?"
"When did I have to tell you about my love life?" I shot back and she glared.
"Mom we're not here about dad, we're here about my wedding." Sammie spoke up and Vincent nodded kissing his head, making Sammie blush then smile.
"Sorry.. right." she said clearing her throat as Oliver grumbled to himself playing with the necklace I gave to him on his birthday.
Vincent and I argued a lot with Megan while Oliver and Sammie disappeared off into the kitchen.
Oliver's POV
"Sorry about my mom." Sammie sighed as he got out a bottle of water from the refrigerator.
"It's okay, she's your mother so I'll be fine." I said jumping up onto a stool.
"Are you sure? My mom ways tries to get her way.... so watch out for her. And that's coming from her son." Sammie laughed and I cracked a grin.
"I'll keep that in mind." I said as he drank some of his water.
I wanted to be close to Sammie. I wanted him to like me. Sure it was weird I was dating his dad and I'm slightly younger than him but I can't change my age. If I was good with Sammie then one less person against our relationship. Not like their were many people that were..... yet.
"Do you want anything?" Sammie asked opening the refrigerator again and I shook my head gently.
I didn't want to be a bother. I could easily ask Eric for some food after we leave here. Then again I don't want to bother Eric much either, he has work tonight. Meaning I'll be all alone at home, probably cleaning.
When Sammie and I walked back in the living room I could feel the tension. It was unsettling, I sat down next to Eric who was glaring at Megan who glared right back. I would join but I kinda had a feeling that it wasn't my place. All I know is that we left with tension still thick in the air. It made me wonder, what happened?
****
"Healthy today? I'm shocked." I laughed as he drove us home with groceries he bought instead of fast food like usual.
Eric rolled his eyes smiling. But I had a feeling that smile was slightly forced.
"What happened while Sammie and I were gone?" slipped from my lips.
His whole expression turned. "Don't worry about it."
"That takes the whole complete opposite affect you know." I said as he parked the car turning to face me.
"I don't want to talk about it, okay?"
"Okay." I said and he got out getting the bags.
But I wanted to know. I muttered to myself shutting the door when I got out the car following behind him. We got in and eventually washed our hands then started cooking. I knew soon he was going to leave but I wanted to at least have lunch together.
"And we're done." I said smiling after exhaling and stared down at the salad and baked chicken legs we made.
Eric smiled and ruffled my hair making me blush. He sat down and I sat down across from him. We talked about his job and how my classes are going.
"What are you going to university for anyway?" Eric asked and I looked up from my food.
"I want to be a tutor, kinda like a teacher I guess." I said smiling and he smiled also.
"I think you'd be a good teacher." he said and my heart raced making me blush but my smile grow.
"Thanks."
Eric's POV
I waved to him goodbye and he blew me a kiss blushing. I smiled and headed to my car. I got in and made my way to work.
By the time my shift was over it was getting late. I was tapped on the shoulder when I was walking down the hallway to the front doors. I turned to see another cop that worked here but I didn't see around much.
"Jack." I said raising an eyebrow as he grinned.
"Wanna go out tonight with me and the guys?" he asked pointing back with his thumb at some other cops.
"Umm..." I thought about it, it was almost dinner time.
I noticed Chap was about to walk past us when Jack now stopped him. "Chap you should come to." Jack said and Chap froze then took a few steps back.
"Um.... I guess that's okay." Chap said and I sighed.
And that's how I ended up in a bar with these cops that I don't call friends will except for Chap. Chap was like a friend I guess.
"A beer please." I said sighing.
"Yeah... just one for me too." Chap mumbled.
"It's not like we have work tomorrow." Jack laughed ordering a beer also.
Jack wasn't a bad guy. He's been here longer than Chap, yet he acts immature sometimes he will be serious when he needs to be.
"This bar sucks." one of the cops sitting by Jack said.
"Yeah." the other said making Jack sigh.
"Fine, let's go somewhere else." Jack said hopping off the stool since he was kinda short.
"What about the beers we ordered?" I asked getting up as Chap did too.
"Don't worry about it." Jack said waving his hand heading towards the door.
I sighed turning to the bartender telling him we're okay I'm the drinks but thanks anyway. Chap and I followed Jack to a familiar place. And that's when it hit me, this is where I took Lenny and some old friends that use to work with me. He got drunk and was all over Van. I smirked but eventually smiled at the memories.
I got a martini since I knew they taste good here. It takes a while for me to get drunk depending on how strong the drink is. I should have known being around Jack means I would drink a whole lot more because of boredom. Chap was eventually trying to pull me away from the bar. Now I was just frowning myself in it.
"Haha one more." I chuckled and he pulled me away again.
"Eric no, you need to get home before it's eleven." Chap said trying to pull me away and I groaned.
"Whyyy?" I pulled my arm away only to stumble back and bump into someone.
"Woah watch i- Eric?"
I turned around and the face was blurry. I snorted as I felt someone try pulling me back.
"What are you doing here?"
"Having some drinks with friiieeeeends." I leaned on the person.
"Ever had a threesome?"
"Wha-What? Eric you need to go home."
"No no..... let him stay I can take him home."
"I don't want to go home." I said feeling my head spin.
"Okay..... Eric call you tomorrow." I felt the boy disappear and I almost fell back but someone gently grabbed my arm.
****
"Mmm Oliver." I bit my lip.
"Why do you love him so much?! Why can't you love me again? I'm better...."
I couldn't see what was going on... I could only feel and hear. And all of a sudden I felt sick. Where's Oliver? Where am I?
I just know next thing I know I'm eventually pushed out from somewhere after a while of walking. It smelled like dirt is what I landed into. I was outside I guess. I'm a sad excuse for a cop. I sighed trying to get up, it was still hard to see. I went to go down in my pockets only to feel nothing. Soon I was hit with things. I stumbled trying to feel for what was thrown. I eventually found my phone hoping it wasn't cracked.
I didn't know what was going on. Where I am but I wanted to call Oliver. I didn't know what time was it..... I know it wasn't him who pushed me. His voice doesn't sound like that. He was my favorite contact.... the favorite contact was in the middle....? I clicked something and heard dialing. Wrong number, I clicked more. It took awhile for me to hear the right voice.
"Where are you?" I heard concern in a familiar voice.
"Oli... ver?" I slurred, what was wrong with my voice?
".... Are you drunk?"
Bingo, so that's what's wrong with me.
"Fuck.... I'm so... rry Oli-Oliver." I felt myself stumble.
"Where are you?"
"I don't know.... I can't really see...."
"Eric." I heard him sigh.
"I'm sorry..... I didn't mean to drink so much."
"It's okay..... do you have a clue where you are?"
"Outside." I mumbled stumbling around as I tried to walk.
"Umm.... I'll call Chap."
"Chap! Cha-Chap was supposed to.... do something...... for me...... take me...." I slurred around.
"Take you?"
"Ho-Home?" I finished confused.
"Oh... well what happened?"
"I don't remember...." I said yawning softly.
"I-I'll find you."
I don't know what happened after that. But I closed my eyes and I was out.
****
"Why the fuck is he naked?"
I opened my eyes to Oliver's green grayish eyes that were wide with horror. Ryder stood by him in disgust.
"Did you..... have sex with your ex?" Oliver said softly.
"What?!" I looked down at myself and I was naked.
The memories were foggy. I felt so disgusted and I wanted to throw up for two reasons.
"Well who's house is this? There's no car in the parking lot? Maybe he ran through the streets naked?" Ryder suggested but Oliver just stared at me making me frown.
"Oliver I'm sorry." I whispered and Ryder' s eyes snapped at me as Oliver looked away.
Fuck, fuck, fuck Why? Oliver and I were good. I was happy..... he was happy.
This is all my fault.
Oliver's POV
I made chicken noodle soup humming softly.
Don't cry. That's what I keep telling myself.
I waited.... I waited.... I knew he wouldn't make it for dinner. He always has to stay later at work. That's usual but he always comes home. But that night I wanted to get his mind off all the stress.... plus making love is a great feeling.
I sniffled wiping my eyes.
But he doesn't need it now he had it with..... her.
It's not his fault.... Chap came and told the whole story..... Turns out Eric woke up in the middle of them.....
I shivered disgusted.
I finished the soup and walked out of the kitchen. I didn't want to look at him or touch him or the other way around.
I headed to our... room and handed him the bowl.
"Thank you." he said softly looking down and ate it.
This just isn't gonna work. I need to get my mind off it all.....
