Chapter 30 Chapter 30
Chapter 30 Chapter 30
Derek's POV
"No, back off," Anna hisses, glaring at me and Liam as we come to get her from the panic room. We walked in to our damn warrior dancing and singing and Anna giggling. Her protecting him was cute, but his job is protection, not this.
"Baby, why is he dancing and singing?" I glared as he coughed uncomfortably.
"I was having a panic attack because you forced me into this damn coffin space, and I am claustrophobic, you jerk!" she burst into sobs, and my wolf howled, hating her damn pain.
"No, Anna, baby, we are sorry we didn't know." Liam tries to go to her, but she backs into the warrior, blocking him from us. He looks at her in a tender way, his eyes showing worry as she cries.
"It's okay, Luna; it really is. You don't have to protect me. My job was keeping you safe, not dancing. Please don't cry," he begs, looking heartbroken at us. She really is a sweet person. My wolf glares at me. I sigh and move back, causing her arms to drop and her sniffle as tears still fall. I look around the room. It is small; no wonder she had panic attacks down here.
"Baby," Liam says, moving close, but her whimper stops him. We didn't know, honey, and if we did, we wouldn't have sent you here. We won't hurt the warrior's baby, but you have to let us come closer, he soothes as we watch her stand in front of them like she can stop us. Both look ready to cry and accept our punishment, but they also look down at her with worry and respect. Their Luna is trying to protect them from alphas. Her tears are killing us, and she just shudders as she stands before them.
"They did nothing wrong," she begs. "I don't want them hurt...you can't hurt them," she cries as we step closer, trying to appear non-threatening to her. Our mate is crying and begging for two warriors, making us almost agitated, but we stop and try to calm her.
"Baby, they won't be punished; we just want to hold you," Liam says, reaching out to her. Her tears have our wolves on edge as we look at her. She looks so sad and tired.
"Can you take the pups to the nursery?" I ask the nannies, who nod and pick up our boys.
"Thank you both." Anna looks at the wolves, and they both smile at her sweetly.
"You're welcome, Luna. We will see you later." They both take a pup and walk out. Vince and Victor look at Anna in concern as she looks defeated but stands in front of them determined to make sure we don't attack. We don't beat our members, but we are strict with them. Dancing and singing while on duty was something we never saw, but I know he was doing it to distract her from a panic attack. I know he wouldn't touch her except when ordered to carry her when needed. Hearing her cute duck giggle coming in made us smile, but we both froze at our warrior dancing to entertain her. "He could sing," my wolf hissed, but he told me to stop advancing when she stood up and tried to stop us.
"Baby, we aren't going to do anything to them; you can stand down," I soothe as she whimpers. Our poor baby mind-links to Liam, who looks to be having a hard time not racing to grab her. She thinks we are going to hurt our men. "Damn, I love her so much," he mind-links back.
"Luna, your mates are here now." Vince tries to get her to calm down. "You begged to hear from them, and look, they both came for you." We can leave the panic room, Luna. "You hated it in here, so now look, the door is wide open, and we can leave," he says in a soft voice, pointing to the door.
"What if they punish you?" she sniffs as he sighs, looking at us with a pleading look. We won't, not now.
She looks at them with her heart on her sleeve as both nod, trying to calm her, and Liam and I know she just earned every warrior's respect because we know all will hear of her trying to protect huge men with her tiny as hell body. Victor moves from behind her, and she grabs at him, looking worried.
"It's okay, Luna; we trust our alphas; they won't do anything or try to attack us. Both just want to comfort you; that is all." His voice is soft and calm as he walks closer. I shake his hand, and Luam pats his arm as he leaves. Vince moves next, and she grabs his arm with her face.
"It's okay, I swear." He pats her hand. She nods as he leaves, then her glare turns to us, and her face crumbles. Anna loses it and starts sobbing as we rush to comfort her. We get hits as she bawls loudly.
"You put me in this horrible room, and I hate being closed in spaces... Then the warriors don't even want to talk to me because you're both mean," she whimpers, still sobbing, and then I find out they can't have mates. What kind of fucked-up shit is that? Everyone deserves a mate or mates to love and be with. "How could you both order that?" she wails as we purr, trying to calm her.
We get smacked, and I chuckle because pregnancy hormones got her all kinds of fucked up and crazy.
"We will change it now; stop hitting us before you hurt yourself," I chuckle. Then he whimpers and yells, "Ouch." Damn it, I almost growl.
"Baby now, damn it," I sigh.
"Ouch, that hurt," she whimpers, holding her hand, more tears leaking out as Liam takes her sore knuckles and kisses them. She shudders as we stare down and smile at our mates. She sure is a cute little thing.
"Baby, let's go talk and get you food." I scoop her up, and we head out. We have to talk because the rogue came here for a reason, and when she hears it, she will be extremely upset again.
