Chapter 205 Drunkenness

Chapter 205 Drunkenness

"My pleasure."

As soon as the words left her mouth, Terrence leaned forward and kissed her parted, reddened lips directly.

Eleanor froze for a moment, then closed her eyes and responded actively, quietly losing herself in his burning, eager kiss.

"Wow—"

The people around them exclaimed in unison.

Lily and another female employee, Jenna, immediately covered their eyes, looking both embarrassed and excited. The only male employee, Gavin, quickly looked away, but couldn't help sneaking a glance toward Lily, his ears unconsciously turning red.

Just one minute felt like stretched-out time for the two of them.

Someone deliberately coughed twice.

Eleanor heard the sound and immediately raised her hand to press against his solid chest, pushing lightly to signal that he should stop.

Terrence reluctantly left her lips, but his gaze remained on her face, deep and focused.

At this moment, a faint blush rose on her cheeks, her red lips looked even fuller and brighter from the kiss, and her glossy eyes carried an unconscious allure.

So beautiful.

His Adam's apple bobbed slightly as he felt something inside him completely awakened. He took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the surging desire.

Truth or dare continued. In the next few rounds, fate was somewhat kind to her—the spinner never landed on Eleanor again.

The group continued playing while eating and drinking, passing the time.

Time quietly moved forward.

The night grew deeper, and before they knew it, it was past midnight.

Eleanor felt relaxed and didn't pay much attention to restraint, drinking several glasses of the club's newly launched specialty fruit wine in one go.

When she glanced at the time, she realized it was already very late.

She stood up and announced loudly, "That's it for today's dinner. Everyone gets tomorrow morning off."

"Awesome!" Lily immediately cheered loudly, "Ms. Mitchell is so cool!"

Gavin looked at her with a smile.

Even the usually reserved Jenna now had a bright smile on her face.

The air was filled with a relaxed atmosphere.

Everyone said goodbye at the club entrance.

Lily and the others were taken home one by one by designated drivers.

Soon, only Eleanor and Terrence remained at the club entrance.

The night wind blew, and the temperature was a bit low.

She instinctively hugged her arms.

He noticed her movement and immediately took off his suit jacket, draping it over her shoulders.

Warmth instantly enveloped her. Eleanor looked up in surprise and met his eyes full of care and tenderness.

Terrence smiled slightly, his voice lowered, "Not cold now, right?"

"Yeah, not cold at all." A small smile curved her lips as she nodded at him.

He reached out and clasped her wrist, leading her toward the car.

Tonight, except for him, everyone else had drunk a few glasses. To get her home safely, he hadn't touched a drop of alcohol.

She didn't pull her hand back, letting him lead her.

The two quickly got in the car.

As soon as she sat down, she felt her head start to swell—the alcohol was finally kicking in.

He walked around the front of the car and got into the driver's seat. Turning his head to look, he saw her leaning back in the seat with her eyes closed, her index finger gently pressing her temple. He asked, "Does your head hurt?"

"No, I'm just a little dizzy." She answered casually, still not opening her eyes.

"It's okay, sleep for a bit. I'll wake you when we get home." His tone was very gentle as he leaned over to fasten her seatbelt.

Just as he finished buckling it and was about to sit back, she suddenly opened her eyes, reached out to grab his sleeve, and called his name softly, "Terry."

He looked at her eyes, hazy with intoxication, his voice even softer, "What's wrong? Are you uncomfortable somewhere?"

"I'm not uncomfortable." She shook her head, her gaze stopping on his slightly sexy thin lips. She bit her lower lip and said, "I want to kiss you."

The words fell.

She didn't give him time to react, suddenly leaning over and kissing his lips again.

So hot.

So soft.

Impossible to stop.

His gaze instantly darkened. His large hand cupped the back of her head, actively deepening the kiss.

After a long while, only when she was breathing rapidly from lack of oxygen did he reluctantly release her. His rough fingertips gently rubbed her slightly swollen lips from kissing, his voice hoarse with an obvious warning, "Eleanor, don't tease me outside next time, otherwise, I might not be able to stop..."

Whenever he encountered her, his usually prided self-control seemed to be stripped away.

He dropped his gaze to the hard ache between his legs, the sudden rush of blood there making it throb with pain. He exhaled deeply, letting himself lean back into his seat.

The car pulled away from the club entrance.

In the passenger seat, her eyes still carried the haze of alcohol, and because of the recent kiss, her gaze looked increasingly misty and alluring.

The late-night streets were very quiet.

The car hadn't been driving long when she reached out and gently tugged at the hem of his shirt.

He turned to glance at her.

"What is it?"

"Terry, it's too late. I don't want to go home."

Going home at this hour would definitely disturb her mother.

He lowered his voice and asked, "Then where do you want to go?"

She had originally wanted him to take her back to her apartment, but thinking about how Ralph was her neighbor...

"To your place."

His Adam's apple rolled several times, a glint darker than the night flashing in his eyes.

"Okay."

She closed her eyes again, relaxing slightly in the car, and drifted off into a drowsy sleep once more.

She didn't know how much time had passed when she opened her eyes again and found herself being carried upstairs in his arms.

"Terry..."

Her head was foggy, and she couldn't quite get her bearings for a moment.

"Awake? We're home." He reminded her in a low voice, carrying her steadily upstairs and directly into his master bedroom.

Before long, she felt herself being gently placed on a large bed.

Only a dim yellow table lamp was on in the room.

She looked around.

The bedroom had a simple style with a color scheme mainly in black, white, and gray.

Her palm pressed against the thin sheets beneath her as she tilted her head and asked him, "This is your room?"

"Yeah." He nodded slightly. "Sleep for a bit. I'm going to wash up."

She was about to ask him not to leave when he had already turned and entered the bathroom. The bathroom door closed, blocking her view.

"Running off like that—are you afraid I'm going to take advantage of you?"

She muttered quietly, burying her face in the soft bedding and closing her eyes again.

Half asleep and half awake, the mattress beside her sank slightly.

She groggily reached out to the side, touching his chest, her palm picking up a bit of cool moisture. She moved closer, her whole face almost pressed against him.

He raised his hand and gently pressed it against her forehead.

The temperature was normal, not abnormally hot—it didn't look like a fever.

He quietly breathed a sigh of relief, but the next second, his body instantly tensed.

"Eleanor, where are you touching?"

In the blink of an eye, her hand had already slid downward.

"Eleanor!" He grabbed her hand. "Hands off. Keep that up and you're the one who's going to regret it."

She didn't succeed.

Her lips pouted in dissatisfaction. "I won't regret it."
