From where Jack stood, he stared at the way she was happily swaying to the beats of the music, her tiny waist moving majestically, and her beautiful smile didn’t miss his heart. What kind of person was Anna Brayden? How could he feel this way toward her despite the fact that he was still angry over what she did to him? There were things he knew they still didn’t forget each other for, but then the affection they felt for each other outweighed everything and Jack knew he couldn’t resist whatever it was he was feeling for Anna. He moved into the kitchen; her back was on him, so she didn't know that he was there.
He wrapped his hands around her waist and she nearly screamed when he chuckled, “Hey, it’s me. It’s your husband.” He could hear the sound of her smile, how beautiful it sounded.
“I shouldn’t have freaked out if I knew it was you. Are you done with the shower already? I should’ve come and helped, right?” She chuckled when he tickled her stomach, because they both knew she was just saying it, but she could never do what she said she would.
“That would’ve been the most exciting thing for me in a while.” She smiled and nodded her head, still doing what she was doing. They were both swaying to the music that had already filled the kitchen, swaying slowly yet romantically. “What are you making for us?”
She was about to pour in chamomile spice in their sauce when he quickly held the can in his hands, she turned to look at him with a questioning glare in her eyes. “What are you doing? Isn’t it your best spice?” She asked with a shy smile because she knew he would have to ask her how she knew it was his favorite.
“Wait, how do you know that?” He placed down the can and wrapped his hand around her waist as he brought her closer to him, she placed both her hands on his chest with a beautiful smile on her face. She always wondered how it was possible for them to always act as though nothing had ever happened between them whenever they made up. It was the one thing she loved between them.
She blushed, it was embarrassing but she had to tell him because she knew if she didn’t tell him, there was no way he would let her be. “Okay, I called Willa and asked her about the things you love, and she said it was among.”
He pinched her cheeks lovingly and she looked deeply into his eyes, “I know it’s among my favorites, but you’re allergic to it, you shouldn’t put it in the sauce unless you aren’t going to eat it, which I wouldn’t let happen. We shouldn’t take it. I won’t have you take your health for granted for the second time, okay?”
She was just staring at him with tears glistening her eyes but this time she wasn’t crying sadly. He had taken her off guard because she had never imagined that he would remember all the things she was allergic to. “But how do you know all the things I'm allergic to?” She couldn’t help but ask, because not everyone knew that she was allergic to chamomile because she didn’t even like it. “I mean, we’ve never had this conversation, have we?”
He shook his head and before he answered her, he kissed both her eyes which forced her to close them beautifully. “The day you cooked for Nate in his house, you took garlic, right? And Emily brought the medical report Julia gave them in case of emergency. I haven't forgotten a single allergy you have and any other medical issue you have. So, darling, you’ll always be safe with me, okay?” The one thing that she could think was to give him a tight hug and that was what she did with ‘Jack...’ Trembling out of her lips.
He chuckled and hugged her back, “Hey, don’t be cry baby, okay?” He chuckled harder when she shook er head as she snuggled her head further into his chest. “Okay, are we not eating dinner tonight?” That was when she broke their hug with a smile on her lips. But her eyes were fixed on him, she knew she felt something for this man, but up until he said ‘So, darling, you’ll always be safe with me, okay?’ She had never realized it was love until then. Yes, she loved Jack Roberts, the most ironic feeling she had ever felt in her entire life.
“Lean closer,” she motioned to him with her hand and even though he looked clueless and enjoying the suspense, he did what she asked of him even though he nearly laughed ta how short she looked when hovered over by him. “I'll kiss you so hard until I knock you out of your breath because this just makes me realize that I've always been in love with you, Jack.” She felt the urge to tell him of what she was feeling, and she didn’t even wait for his response when she merged their lips together and she could clearly hear the gasp that escaped his lips.
She wrapped her hands around his neck lovingly as she kissed him slowly to show him how much she really was in love with him. Jack had never felt the way he did today. The words she had uttered was the last thing he had expected to hear from her, maybe when he was on his deathbed? But now, no, this wasn’t the Anna Brayden he got married to. It was just too emotional for him that instead of him to kiss her back the way he was supposed to, Jack hugged her warmly because he had never felt this surge of emotions through him.
Slowly, he began to kiss her back until it became so passionate for them that they had to break apart to take a breather. She wasn’t looking into his eyes, she turned her back to him as she continued her cooking, but Jack just stood there staring at her as though this was the first time he had ever seen her. “Stop looking at me, Jack.” She uttered without turning to look at him and Jack hugged her warmly from behind.
He placed his head on her shoulders and closed his eyes, feeling as her warmth seeped through his body as it calmed him down and he realized he had never felt this way his entire life. “Say that again, Anna.” He spoke softly with a whispering voice and Anna felt as her skin pores straightened due to what she felt when his breath fanned her naked neck skin.
“What? Silence, or I'm going to shoo you out of my kitchen.” He only tightened his hold around her waist as he snuggled his face into her neck even more.

It was a miracle that she was done with the dinner even though with the way Jack was all over her and he kept on begging her to say that again and she kept on acting clueless about what he meant. She knew what that was, but she can never say it again, that time was even due to the rush of the emotions that came out of her and she feared that they’ll come out being prepared. The dinner was full of kisses, affectionate touches, and soft talks that she hardly ever understood due to how his hands were moving slowly around her whole body.
She stood in front of her mirror and stared at herself inside the lingerie she had worn tonight and felt the urge to go run into her duvet and sleep until tomorrow. But she knew she had to do this, because she had understood what she felt for this man now and she would never let that Clara of a woman to get him. She took in a huge breath and walked out of the room. When she turned the doorknob to his room, she expected to see Clara due to the nostalgic feeling that had engulfed her, but no one was there. There was a sound of a running water in the bathroom and she sat down on the edge of the; contemplating whether to go back to her room or not. And just when she had already convinced herself that it would even be better if he came to her room himself, she immediately stood up just when he walked out of the bathroom and they stood there staring at each other with the water he had showered dripping down from his body.
She ducked her head down, realizing this was the first time she had ever seen him with a towel on. “I'm sorry, I'll be in the living room when you’re done getting ready.” Before she took another step forward, he held her wrist and made her stand in front of him. “Jack...” She began with a whisper-like voice, but he placed his wet finger on her lips to silence her as he stared at her almost naked body.
He turned his eyes back to her eyes and smiled lustfully, “I believe this is for me, right?” She was about to shake her head when he leaned in and merged their lips. He began to kiss her as hungry as he had never kissed her in her entire life. Anna didn’t know when she placed her warm hands on his wet chest which forced him to moan into her lips and slowly, Jack was guiding them to the bed as they both became extremely hungry for each other. She could feel his hands all over her body as her hunger for him grew even more irresistible.
They fell over on the bed with a loud thud and as he hovered over her, Anna could feel his erected length on her body. She moaned when he took a hold of her nipple in his lips as his hands roamed thoroughly through her body. It was getting so rough that Anna began to feel each and every place she had ever fantasized over on his body. All that could be heard were their moans, the way their now naked bodies felt against each other and the warmth seeping from both of them.
When she felt his mouth on her V-line, Anna knew that was the end of everything for her, and the moment be took her into his mouth, she moaned and firmly held the bed sheet as she waited for a miracle to happen that would ease what she was feeling even though it was the most beautiful feeling she had ever felt in her life. He looked up at her from his position and she slightly tilted her position to see why he had suddenly stopped.
“Are you sure you’re ready for this, Anna? I don’t want us to reach a stage where...” Weakly, totally swarmed by the desire she felt for him, Anna pulled him back onto the bed and she was the one on top of him now. She stared into his eyes as she slowly eased himself into her while they both broke out in a moan and from the way she acted and what he had felt, Jack had to flip their positions. How in the whole world could she be a virgin?! He knew she had told him that once, but he had never believed she was serious until today. That wasn't what he was worried about, how? There was Nate and Henry, just how?
He knew he had made love to Clara for times he couldn’t even begin to count, but one thing was certain, they had both never looked into each other’s act while doing that. But for Anna, their eyes were merged together so as their moans and pleasurable sighs. She was looking at him with the emotions she sometimes showed on her face which he today understood to be love and what he felt was something he had never imagined feeling in his life. After they were done, Jack laid on the bed with her head on his chest and he kissed the top of her head.
“Anna...” He whispered her name slowly and she pulled the duvet to more to her neck, the gesture nearly made him laugh. What was left that he hadn’t seen, touched, and felt?
“Umm?” She asked slowly while playing with her finger on his chest.
“I'm eager to fall in love with you, I'm certain it'd be the most beautiful feeling I'd ever feel in my life.” A grin broke her lips, and she snuggled more onto his chest. She believed this would be sweeter than an ‘I love you’ from Jack would ever be.
