She stared at him face for a few minutes and her expression hardened when she saw the smile on it. He wanted to laugh but he was trying so hard to control himself, she could know that from the way he looked. Then it broke out of him in a rush, he began to laugh with so much timbre as he stared at the way she kept on fuming, her hands crossed over her chest. She waited for a few minutes to see if he was going to stop but with each passing minute, he kept on increasing the pace of his laughter to the point that Anna got so furious and walked into the house on her own.
Jack stared at the path she followed and how she had banged the door so loud that he cringed. Oh no, that was bad. If only he had controlled himself. He looked up at the sky and it was getting darker with each minute, Anna Brayden was furious at him, even though he knew she had no more other thing to do to him now, he still dreaded her anger. He gulped down a lump in his throat and summoned all the remaining seriousness he had in him, in the actual truth, it felt so soothing and flattering to know that Anna Brayden was jealous over him. He walked into the house and there was no sign of her.
Then he entered her room, and he found her seated on the edge of her bed as she wanted to cry so badly that she was angrily wiping off her tears. That took him aback, was she really serious about this whole jealous thing? He thought it was just a momentarily anger that might pass off in a few minutes, but it seemed as if it was serious. He cleared his throat and when she looked up to meet his eyes, they were a shade of blood. “Leave me alone.” She whimpered, but what he heard was ‘I need your hug.’ Because he could see it from her eyes that she wanted assurance from him, that she was his wife and even though he was sure he didn’t love her now...wait, it was a five-year marriage. He shook his head to get rid of that thought and walked toward her.
“Anna, you need to listen to me.” He spoke softly, the only light that was illuminating in the room was the light coming from the bathroom and he actually loved the dimness, because it gave them a sense of privacy and much warmth. When he sat beside her with his hips brushing hers, she shifted away from him and that struck a chord in his heart. “Are you avoiding me now, Anna?” He couldn’t help but ask. Yes, he knew how women reacted when they were jealous, how angry, and sad they felt because he had seen that in Willa’s eyes and today, Clara, now it was his wife.
She shook her head, but she still wasn’t looking at him, “I’m not avoiding you; I just don’t want you anywhere near me, Jack.” She wiped off her eyes and was determined to curse herself when next even a strand of tear fall down. “Can you please leave me alone?” She was practically begging him, but she knew the last thing Jack would do now was to leave her alone.
He moved closer to her and she shifted again, “But I don't want to leave you alone, Anna. I want to stay with you, talk to me, okay?” He was so calming, and when she looked into his eyes, they were so soothing. She ached to be in his arms, and she damned herself for feeling that way because why would she feel such? Didn’t he made it palpable to her that it was a five-year marriage, and he had a woman he loved? Who would he go back after those years?
She shook her head, “When I tried to talk to you, you laughed at me as though I'm mad, didn’t you?” She was glaring at him now and the embarrassment she had felt then came back rushing into her heart. She didn’t know that there was someone that would hurt her the way Jack did. One gesture from him hurt like it shouldn’t.
He moved closer, and this time, she didn't move away until their hips brushed, and their eyes amalgamated into one. “I didn’t laugh at you.” He sighed and palmed his face as though to brace himself for everything that was coming his way, “I’ll be serious with you, Anna, it was quite flattering to know that Anna Brayden is jealous over me to the point that she cried, and I couldn't believe it. But I'm so sorry.”
She pouted her lips and wrapped her hands over her chest, “I'm not jealous. It’s just a fact I stated. We both know that she’s the woman you loved, we’re just married now and all this thing...” She pointed between the two of them and her eyes emoted the sadness her lips failed to utter, “All this will be over, we will be divorced by then and you’ll go back to the woman you loved.”
She immediately stood up, because she knew if she was still seated on the bed then nothing could stop her from crying her eyes out. “I'm sorry, I shouldn’t have said all these things. Can you please leave me alone? We both know the relationship that’s between the two of us...” She wasn’t able to be done with her sentence when Jack pulled her to him and when she fell on him, they lay flat on the bed with her whole weight on him.
“Ouch,” he whimpered teasingly, staring deeply into her eyes that looked somewhat sad and lustful, “You look too slim to be this heavy, Anna.”
He didn’t even have the chance to close his eyes when Anna tried to lift herself off from him body, but he held her back. “I didn’t mean that you should lift your body off me. I actually enjoy it now that we’re...” With one swift movement, he flipped them in a way that she was the one laying on her back and he propped his arms to support his weight while he stared at her face. She gulped down a lump in her throat and said nothing, oh yeah, he knew a single touch from him affected Anna Brayden.
“Get off me, Jack.” She remembered the way he held Clara’s wrist and his eyes emoted how regretful he felt, and she knew if she were being given the chance to look into his heart, she would see how he hated himself for getting married to her. That single thought damaged her whole mood, the desire gone, and she just wanted to be alone, wander in her lonesome thoughts alone. “I need to be alone, Jack.”
He shook his head as his strong hands began to unbutton her shirt. Their eyes were fixed into each other’s and she couldn’t believe what was trying to happen to both of them. “You’re my wife, Anna, and there’s no way I'm going to leave you alone. Your eyes say the otherwise, you want me here and that’s where I'd be, okay? Stop trying to shoo me out because it’s never going to work.”
He had her chest naked in front of him and she thanked goodness that she was bearing a very tight bra because if not, nothing could’ve stopped him from doing what she could see playing in his eyes. Secretively, she was staring at him to see his expression, she wasn’t even struggling because she knew if she did, nothing could stop Jack from doing all that he knew she didn’t like. “Jack...” She whispered when she felt his wet lips on her cleavage as he trailed down to her stomach and he sucked in her navel. He tried to pull himself downward when she moaned slightly and their eyes met, he smirked at her.
“I thought you want to be alone?” He asked with a husky voice that spoke of what was going in his mind right now and she nodded her head weakly. She knew they might act up to their emotions now, but she would certainly be the one that will regret everything later. She nodded her head at him again and when he leaned his face closer to her, he took her lips in his without even asking or slowing down to give her the chance to get ready for it.
She was reluctant at first, but she had never hated the kind of body she had until today. For she responded to his hands that were roaming through her whole body and she didn’t know when she began to kiss him back even more hungrily. Somehow, he ended up taking off her bra and when he took one of her bosom in his mouth, Anna nearly screamed. No one had ever done this to her, not even Charles that was a romantic boyfriend to her. She closed her eyes to calm herself down and she felt the way he sucked her nipple. Her moans even though muffled, were coming out as a whisper and that only turned Jack even more.
She felt the way he lengthened above her as he hovered over her, she didn’t know when she had her hands on his chest and she was slowly unbuttoning his shirt in a rush she didn’t know she had the energy for. They were both hungry now, both their hands exploring different parts of their bodies and their moans colliding as one. It got to the point that they were both naked on the bed and their body were colliding with each other. When his hand began to take off her pant, she placed her shaking ones to stop him and he looked up at her with a surprising expression. “I'm afraid, Jack...” She whispered.
She wanted this more than she had ever wanted something in her life but at the same time she didn’t want to lose the only thing she had left in her body. He had her heart crushed, her soul crumpled, and her body touched by him all over, she wanted to keep this safe for herself. Just so that when everything went down and she was left alone to lick her wounds, at least she would be proud of herself for having kept her treasure. He was just staring at her, their eyes both bloodshot with the urge of desire they felt for each other. “Anna...” He whispered back, and she nodded her head to let him know that she knew what he was feeling. She could feel his erected length and she knew this wouldn’t only going to be torturous to her, but to him as well.
“I know,” she had managed to calm her breathing now, “But I'm afraid, Jack.”
He looked hopeless and pathetic and she knew if they were the Anna and Jack they used to be, she would have liked the expression on his face. “But why, Anna? It’s not this is the first time...”
She nodded her head even before he finished what he was saying, “It is, and I don’t want to do it when I'm not certain with everything. I need some time, Jack. Please?” She pleased. She didn’t want to remember how Charles, Henry stopped himself whenever he came to this point and she had never realized why. Maybe it was the same reason he had with Nate; they knew they weren’t real with her so they couldn't take this from her. And she was sure Jack wasn't real with her, the ring on both their fingers was basically nothing to him. If Clara wanted him back, he wouldn’t just walk to her, he would run.
He sighed and his shoulders slumped in defeat. She knew, and she wished she could do something about this, but this was about herself and she wanted that even if it’s for once, she would do something good for her now self. Instead, she pulled him to her body and hugged him warmly, her naked and warm chest pasted against him. He tried to speak but his voice got muffled by her chest. Anna nodded slightly and closed her eyes, “I know, Jack, and I'm sorry.”
