She stared into his eyes as she gulped down a lump in her throat, “Get off me, Jack.” She managed to utter even though she could feel the thumping beating of her heart, and her whole body had gone weak. Did he always have this kind of effect on her or was it because of the kiss? He propped his arms over her, and she wanted to have her heart out of her chest. He stared deeply into her eyes that he had weakened the remaining energy she had.
She clenched her eyes shut because the look in his eyes was enough to make her lose the breath she was trying so hard not to. “Will you please get off me?” She managed to utter, feeling the heat that radiated from his body as it crushed and trampled with her joints. When she opened her eyes again, he had this dreamy look on his face and the desire in his eyes could never be coated with a hard look. “What do you want?” She asked, because she’d be damned if she said she wasn’t resisting the urge to lounge his face toward her and kiss him as hard as she had never kissed any man in her life.
Jack sighed, wasn't what he did just to scare her and be certain that he affected her just like he predicted he did. But it seemed he had gotten himself into something he was sure he couldn't pull himself out that easily. “I want to kiss you.” He only heard the voice himself without knowing how or where that came from him. He stared at how she had her eyes dilated and he leaned his face closer to her, but she had her face turned away from him and her eyes clenched shut.
“I hate you, Jack.” She muttered with so much aplomb and he nodded his head as though she could see him.
“I know, I hate you to.” When she heard that, she turned to look at him, there was weakness in her eyes but then there was raw pain he had never seen in her eyes. Tears were already accumulating themselves in her eyes.
“Then we shouldn’t be doing this, don’t you think? It can only make us hate ourselves more, Jack. We’ve done a lot of unforgiving things to ourselves, Jack. Please stop trying to tempt me, we both know it’s hard resisting ourselves. If you push us too hard, I don't know what we will do next, Jack. And we can only regret that when the deed is done, you have a girlfriend, you’d want to kill me if something happens between the moment we’re back in our senses.” He had pushed her too hard; she could feel the urge trying to end her life, but she wasn’t going to let this temptation make her do something she would definitely regret later. For all she knew, this might be another of Jack’s plans of ruining her.
Tears were already running down her chest and she placed her hands on his chest in an attempt to lift him off her body but that single touch made her went wild and she quickly took her hand away from his as though she had touched fire. “Jack, please, get off me. You’ve won, I can’t resist you, there, happy?” She asked with a sad look and Jack sed just staring at her. She was trying to clean off her tears but more kept gushing down and he didn’t know other it was because she had remembered what Henry had done to her.
He pulled himself away from her body and sat down on the sofa beside her, she palmed her face as she cried so hard even though within her mind she was cursing herself for being so weak to the point that she was crying. Why couldn't she just act as though nothing had happened? But seeing him today had unveiled her old wounds and she felt as though Henry was going to appear out of nowhere and add more pains to her aching wound. She didn’t realize he was seated beside her until she slightly opened her eyes and she sat upright.
“I need to go, just tell Mom that I got a call from Julia, please.” She got to her feet even he got a chance to reply her, she cleared her tears and without staring back at home, she put on her sandals and was about to leave when he pulled her wrist and she turned to look at him with a hardened expression. "What do you think you're doing?" She held a hard look on her face and glared at his hand that was firmly holding her wrist. "Let go of my hand."
He did, but then the look was back on his face, he was still angry even though there was a calm look on his face. "Have you realized that you aren't the only one that can be angry? I have a valid reason of being angry myself. Don't act reckless, they left with your driver and there's no way you can find a taxi here."
She hissed softly before she turned to her feet, she didn't say that it was only justifiable when she was angry. She knew as much as he hurt her, she had hurt him too, maybe even worse. "I didn't ask for your opinion. We both know that none of us wish the other well. I'd appreciate it if you'll leave me alone." She walked off but she could hear the sound of his footsteps following her and she wondered what type of man he was. How could you damage my entire soul and act though she was the loveliest girl he had ever been with in his life?
They were out already, and she wondered if the maids had gone to their chamber because she couldn't see anyone. "I'll drive you home." He said and from the way his voice sounded, there was a tone of finality. She knew it would be pointless if she argued with him and besides, she didn't know what she would do.
She begrudgingly went to the car and sat on the passenger's seat, without a word shared between them, Jack drove out of the house and it took them long before he cleared his throat and turned to look at her, "Can I have the address?"
She rolled her eyes angrily at him, "Look it up on google, every American knows Anna Brayden's address." She knew he hated it whenever she reminded him of who she was and the kind of power she possessed. That was exactly why she did that. She wanted to anger him to the point that he would want to choke her to her death or drop her on the street.
He chuckled deeply and she knew so well that that wasn't a pleasant chuckle. "You know I won't look it up, don't you? Just tell me the address or I'll be forced to do what I've been resisting myself from doing, Anna." From her peripheral view, she could see that he was damn serious, and he didn't have to tell her what he was resisting himself from doing.
"You can do whatever you want but I will never tell you my address when you can easily search for it..." she wasn't even done talking when he parked beside the road and the next thing she felt was Jack pulled her roughly and before she got the chance to act up, he had already laced his lips on hers. Anna surged in a breath and to him, it sounded as though it were a moan.
She kept on trying to pull herself out of his hold to the point that he had weakened her whole body and she wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him closer to her as she kissed him as hungrily as he kissed her. This was what she had been dreading for both of them, she knew how she was able to control herself, and from the way he devoured her stomach it was evident that he had only been trying to be a gentle man even though they both knew he wasn't.
Her gown had a V-neck, and her cleavage was showing. She gasped when she felt his warm hand there and she knew, it was either she stopped this or what she had said just a few minutes ago will come to life. He was about to put his hand into her bra, and she placed hers on top of his. Slowly, with so much aplomb, Anna broke their lips, and she placed her lustful eyes on his. "We can't do this, Jack."
He gulped down and pulled himself away from her, and she leaned back onto her seat. Jack raked his fingers into his hair in exasperation. He didn't know what he would have to do tonight, if only she hadn't been so stubborn and him, impatient. He turned to look at her, "Will you tell me the address now or we have to go to the whatever hotel I lay my eyes on?"
She rolled her eyes at him; she was angrier at herself than she was angry at him, but she would never let him know. If she had pushed him off her in the beginning, she wouldn't have been so wild and restless now. "I dare you to do that." She said through gritted teeth, because she knew none of them could do what they wanted to. It was just desire, she reminded herself and she could feel this for anyone out there.
He hissed and drove onto the road, she thought he was just playing hard until she saw him swerving the steering wheel into a hotel and she turned with a frightened expression on her face. "What do you think you're doing, Jack?!" She yelled at the pitch of her voice and without staring at her, he replied.
"I'm taking you to a hotel room, that's the exact thing that's on my mind." He fixed his eyes on her and he parked the car in the parking lot.
"You don't mean it." She shook her head as though she couldn't believe the building the stood tall in front of them. "Do I look like a prostitute to you?" She was angry, he could see it and maybe afraid of what might happen or afraid that she might not be able to resist herself if he took her to the room.
"How dare I say that you're a prostitute? The whole Anna Brayden? That's not what I mean, you don't want to tell me your address, so I suppose this is what you want, isn't it?" She rolled her eyes at him and scoffed angrily.
"Take me home." She said through gritted teeth and Jack wanted to chuckle at how angry she looked.
"What have I done? I don't have your address; this is the only place to home I can take you." She was angry, she wanted to smack his head to the point that he would have to beg her for his life. She didn't want to tell him the address because if she did, that would mean that he had won.
He walked out of the car and she folded her arms to see if he was going to take her out of the car himself. He knocked on her door and opened it. "Let's go." She was just staring at him with a hardened expression.
"Take me home, Jack." She said through gritted teeth and Jack pulled her to her feet and on her attempt to pull herself away from him, she got her back on the car and he leaned his body on hers.
She could feel how erected he felt, she looked up at his face and he knew what she felt. "What is this, Jack? Take me home." She spoke again and he leaned closer to her body, leaning his face close to her neck and she slightly shivered.
"I don't know your address, this is the only place I can bring you, Anna." He rubbed himself close to her body and she shivered even more. "Should we go in?" She immediately shook her head and felt the way he had kissed her neck. "Should we?" He asked again and with her lips trembling, feeling the way his wet lips were trailing down her lips.
"Jack..." she left the urge to pull him closer, but she stopped, she knew if things persisted and if she gave her own in this, nothing could stop them all from doing what would certainly hunt them for the rest of their lives. His face trailed down to the V on her gown and she felt as an electrocution surged through her whole body. She took a churn of his shirt for support, "Jack please..." his lips nearly took a hold of her bosom and she jerked upright "Here's the address, No:62..." She called out the address in one breath and when Jack pulled his face away from her body, his lust filled eyes grinned at her and he gently pushed her back into the car.
"It seems like Anna Brayden is a good girl." He said with a smirk on his lips and he closed the door for her before he walked to the driver's seat and drove out of the premises.
