Chapter 42

~ Seth ~

My whole world collapsed in front of my eyes. I took a few steps ahead and looked at Seyah who was laying on the road with a pool of blood surrounding her. I saw, I saw it from my own eyes seeing her getting in an accident.

Why did she not see the goddamn van? My body was trembling and I immediately ran towards her and hugged her.

“Seyah… wake up” I spoke to her but there were no answers from her. My heart was hurting me and I just couldn’t believe what just happened to her. Then I immediately checked her breath and I sighed in relief. Then two more men came and helped me as an ambulance came.

Then I took her to the hospital and I watched them leave, I slowly looked down at my body as I saw I was covered with her blood. Then I immediately stopped a taxi as I asked the driver to follow the ambulance.

Within a few minutes I came into the hospital and ran towards the emergency room as the receptionist told me. Then I stood at the door and stayed. My body was trembling and my heart was hammering against my chest. How did that happen? My mind was asking me hundreds of questions.

Did she come here for me? Tears rolled down from my eyes and I leaned against the wall as I slowly sat on the cold floor. Why did I do this to her? Why didn’t I keep my promise? Why? Didn’t I say that I would not do something like this?

I clenched my jaws and started to pull my own hair. I wanted to feel the pain, I just want something which can hurt me physically then I can fucking get rid of the pain in my heart. Then I heard heavy footsteps and I lifted my head as I looked at my parents who were looking at me with a shocked expression.

“Seyah.. What happened to her?” I looked at my dad’s horror filled face and looked away. Everything had happened to her and there’s nothing more to happen. I wiped my tears and got up from the floor. My body was numb and I didn’t know how to react at this point.

“We need blood for her, because of losing so much blood” A doctor came out of the emergency room and said. I immediately nodded at him and took off my coat as I unbuttoned my sleeves. Then the doctor nodded at me and asked me to come in but suddenly I was stopped by my dad.

“Dad, I will give. You’re old now so you don’t have to do it” I forcefully smiled at him but he just shook his head with a strange expression.

“We can’t Seth, you can’t give her” hearing my dad’s words I immediately shook his hand away from my body. Then I looked away from him and entered the room ignoring every fucking thing around me.

“You can take as much as you want” I told the doctor and looked at Seyah who was lying on the bed unconsciously. She was pale and my heart ached seeing her beautiful face like that. Then I felt something sharp piercing my skin but it didn’t even hurt me because my heart was already achong for her.

“Oh, sorry sir. You can’t give her blood. She has an AB negative blood type and yours is O positive.” my heart shook violently hearing the doctor, what? How can it be? No way. She’s my sister.

“She’s my sister… Why can’t she?” I asked the doctor but he immediately shook his head and looked at me.

“We can’t talk for so long sir. Please leave the room, we need to do the surgery” I nodded at them as I walked towards the door and stopped.

“Please.. Save her. I will give you as much money as you want. Please find the blood” the doctors watched me for a while and nodded as I walked out of the room. Then I looked at my dad who was looking at me with shock.

“Why doesn't she have my blood type?” I asked dad. Then he lowered his head without answering me. Then my mom also looked at him with both shocked and tears filled eyes.

“What’s wrong?” she asked dad. Then Dad took a deep breath and looked at mom before looking at me.

“Seyah is not our daughter.. Our daughter died as soon as you gave birth to her, because you fainted as soon as giving birth, I just took Seyah after knowing that her mother died while giving birth to her”

“Seyah had no family members and her father was also a soldier and he was also dead. So I took her”

“I just changed the babies” my heart shook violently hearing him. How? Why did he didn’t tell us? If he said this before… nothing would happen..

Seyah is not my sister, that’s why we both had feelings for each other. But why didn’t he tell us this? Why? My heartbeat increased with helplessness and I was lost. What the hell should I do now?

“DAD.. why the hell didn't you tell us? Why? Instead of making us apart you could have just told the truth” I shouted at him but he didn’t look at me just kept looking down. Then I looked at my mom who was both shocked and hurt.

She also didn’t know anything about this, right? Yes, she also didn’t know. But why couldn’t he tell us?
