Jealousy… A foreign concept to a playboy~ Xarius Vancei.

My thrusts are faster as I maintain my hold on her hips. Her mouth is wrapped around Xander’s cock, taking him expertly into his mouth and making gagging sounds as she finds a better angle. I’m close. With a loud groan, I cum and pull out. Xavier is a passive participant, sitting on the edge of the bed, stroking himself. Xander spills into the girl’s mouth and pulls himself away.
“You may go,” Xavier grunts as his pumping stops and he cums. The girl is about to lean for Xander, but he pushes her away. She gets the message, puts on her clothes, my cum dripping down her legs. I think it’s a hot mess. I invited her over an hour ago in an attempt to vent out my sexual frustration, and the new anger I am feeling. She’s the daughter of one of the pack’s Betas. I direct a glare to Xander who’s oblivious of it. I can’t forget the gentle groans and the image of his body pressed against that girl’s body as I walked into the room to give her the clothes I bought.
I stood there, watching him kiss her like his life depended on it. Just as quietly as I came, I left.
As I tuck myself into my trousers, the anger intensifies. I blurt out the words before I can stop them. “Why were you in that girl’s room the other night?” I ask. It’s already three nights later, yet I can’t forget what I witnessed.
Xander stops halfway to the bathroom, and turns around slowly. “What do you mean?” He asks, his left brow arching upward.
I adjust my stance. “You were in her room the night we brought her home. Why?”
A guilty look masks his features, and he turns away. “I went to give her some clothes.” He lies. My eyes go wide. We never lie to each other, ever. There’s no reason for him to lie to me even. I mean, we always share our women, but the look in his eyes tells me that he doesn’t want any of us to know about the kiss. I’m worried by the new development.
“Oh.” I simply say and avert my gaze so he doesn’t figure that I know. That I saw his hands snake over her body as she moaned into his mouth. I don’t know if they did more than kiss each other though, and in the state I am in right now, I don’t want to know.
“I'll head to my room and freshen up. The mating ceremony is in a few hours.” Xavier rises to his feet, and leaves the room.
We get dressed and head to the large arena located in the center of Blackmoon pack. The moon will fully come out soon, and as we head deeper towards the arena covered at the sides by short trees, I can hear the loud bustle and excited yells. It’s a celebration night. The main one will come after the mating ceremony, after all the males and females choose their fated mates as directed by the benevolent glow of the moonlight sent by the Moon goddess herself.
Pualin is wearing a traditional attire—black and blue, his wrist adorned with an expensive wristwatch. His eyes dart to our direction and he forces a smile.
“Everyone!” He calls out, and heads whirl towards us. “Welcome our Alphas.” He says, and they all bow.
I get on all fours just as the moon hangs in the sky, casting bright light on the arena. My sense of smell sharpens, and my claws emerge. My vision shifts and I feel closer to the earth. With a loud howl, I shift into my wolf; a huge brown furred beast, with patches of white at different spots. My brothers do the same, their howls mirroring mine, and shaking the nearby trees. Panic fills the eyes of the onlookers, their body naturally succumbing to our Alpha aura. The mating ceremony officially begins, the females shifting into their wolf form. Pheromones fill the air, and I move from one female wolf to the other, waiting for the glow of moonlight to turn a bright red indicating that the said wolf is my mate. I move through different lines of she-wolves, until it becomes clear that my mate—our mate isn’t present.
I sigh inwardly in disappointment, shifting into my human form again, and looking just in time to see Xavier do the same. Xander stops in front of a she-wolf a little longer, his grey tail wagging gently that I think for a moment that he’s found his mate. I begin to smile, but he moves away from the wolf, growling deep in his throat.
“No mate,” Xavier says, the disappointment evident in his tone. I shrug. Seeing no need to remain in the arena, I decided to head back to the residence. I take a quick glance at the unmated females, making a mental note to take my pick for the night out of one of them.
A bushy path through the woods is the quickest way to the residence, and I move towards that direction, when I see a familiar silhouette. She’s standing next to a tree, watching the ceremony with a longing stare, hands gripping a new dress that probably one of my brothers got for her. Her blonde hair with white streaks is packed into a ponytail, leaving her slender neck. I’m already on my way to her before I realize what I’m doing.
“Got bored of waiting at home?” I try to tease, as if her home is with. Her eyes jerk up mine, her lips parting gently. I hear the footfalls of my brothers behind me, and I briefly wish they’d go away. My thoughts disgusts me. I love my brothers too much to want to stay away from them.
The moon hovers properly in the sky, casting its light in our direction, and she gasps audibly. My wolf fidgets at that moment, and my mouth goes dry as the moon glows a bright red.
I can’t stop the word even though I really want to.
“Mate,” I whisper.
