Looking at Osprey In A New Light (Part 1)
Looking at Osprey In A New Light (Part 1)
Falcon
Tasha and I leaned down to give the rest of our mates kisses goodbye before heading out to meet our kids on the porch. Tasha was not a morning person, but her eagerness for today had her bouncing up two hours before we had to go downstairs. Not that I was complaining, considering she also bounced on me for a while. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, sniffing her lightly. I loved it when she went out smelling like me. She was intoxicating on a normal basis, but when she smelled like us, she was irresistible. I wanted nothing more than to keep her in bed, but our mates had pushed me off the mattress, telling me that I really needed to follow through with today.
“Falcon? Are you okay?” Tasha asked as she leaned against my side.
I nodded, kissing her forehead. “I was just thinking about how good you felt this morning.”
She slapped my shoulder, giggling. “You didn’t do so bad for a dead man!”
I groaned. I hated when she brought up the two years that I faked being dead. “You brought me back to life, baby.”
“Mhmmm, I sure did raise you up.”
I groaned again as my cock hardened. “Be gone, you foul temptress!”
She ran her hand down the front of my pants. “Down, boy, down.”
“Not helping, Tasha.”
She burst out laughing before jogging down the stairs to where Osprey and Elena stood, watching us with happy looks on their faces. Tasha and I were getting downstairs early, making me wonder how early our children had gotten downstairs. Osprey looked serious while his sister stood excitedly next to a worried Beanie. I shook my head and couldn’t help but smile at the look on his face. Beanie was such a fragile soul and would be better suited for the Beta Boar position than the Beta position. But it wasn’t my choice. It was Osprey’s.
It was one of the many reasons that I didn’t think he was ready to take over as Alpha yet. When I was his age, I was nearing the end of my Alpha training, while Osprey’s had only just begun. I had failed my son in more ways than one. And in failing him, I had failed my mate, our family, and our entire sleuth. I sighed, making Tasha lean against my side as we walked through the woods.
‘You didn’t fail anybody, Falcon. Osprey is going to make a formidable Alpha. He will lead justly and passionately, just like you and your father before you.’
I kissed her forehead. I didn’t have to respond. She always knew. Tasha always saw into all of us. It’s what made her such an amazing Alpha Sow. It’s the same thing that would make Scarlett the perfect Alpha Sow. They were both glorious. I forced myself away from my thoughts as we stepped onto the wolves’ land. Our mates had told us that the wolves had been placed in cages, but actually seeing them confined was a different thing. I had been told that Osprey was ferocious, but I had my doubts about whether he was going to be able to soften enough to be an Alpha that would be cruel when needed to be and reasonable when the situation called for it.
“Elena, you may continue,” Osprey said.
I watched as Elena pulled a terrified boy out of his cage to drag him over to lay at Osprey’s feet. She hummed happily as she tied his hands and feet together before taking a rusty spoon from Beanie. Osprey paced back and forth in front of them as Elena began to almost saw his neck off. Every drag of the spoon across his skin made him howl in agony while he thrashed on the ground. Osprey put his foot on the boy’s chest, holding him still as Elena continued to cut his throat.
Blood erupted from the wounds on his throat, covering Elena in it. Tasha stood silently by my side as we marveled at how coldly our children removed the boy’s head from his body. When she was done, Elena jumped up to retrieve another boy from the cages to bring him to kneel at my feet, while Osprey brought me a 10-foot rope that my sister had given to him. Tasha stepped away from me as I looped the rope around the boy’s neck before dragging him to the tree a few feet from me. Osprey scaled the tree effortlessly, catching the rope that I tossed up to him. He looped it around the branch that he stood on once before tossing it back down to me.
I began to hoist the boy up. I lifted the boy up by his throat until his feet were barely able to scrape the ground. Osprey leaned down close to him, watching as the panic set in. After a few minutes of him struggling to balance on his tippy toes, I pulled him higher. His body swayed back and forth almost hypnotically. Every few minutes, I lifted him higher until his head brushed the top of the branch. After I tossed the rope back up to him, Osprey tied the rope securely around the branch to keep the boy hanging in the air as we moved onto the next one, leaving the boy to struggle while the rope did its job.
Elena forced yet another boy out of the cage, only to position him in front of her mother as Osprey walked over to Mona to get the bone saw from her. When Tasha’s eyes lit up gleefully, I chuckled. I never understood her fascination with eating the brain. It was such a hard organ to get to. I preferred the liver or the heart if I could, but this wasn’t my show, so I didn’t say anything. I helped Osprey tie the boy to a tree while Tasha eagerly watched. The last loop went around the boy’s neck to hold him fully against the tree as my mate cut his head open.
The smell of burnt flesh and hair, along with a lot of dust and tissue, filled the air as Tasha cut his skull open. When she finally got it open, Elena handed her a scalpel. I shook my head as Tasha began to hand out slivers of the boy’s brains to the sleuth members around the clearing. Always caring about our members’ wellbeing, that one. I declined my sliver, which she happily ate as drool rolled down the boy’s chin. Osprey stood next to me as we watched Tasha consume the entire brain before sitting next to the body, rubbing her stomach.
“Goddess, that was so good. Thank you.”
I turned to look at my son. “Who’s next?”
Osprey walked over to kick a cage. “This fucker. 1,000 cuts.”
“Okay. Bring him,” I said as I pulled my favorite pocket knife out of my pocket. I glanced at the boy that I had left hanging and was almost sad to see that he had died. They all deserved to suffer more than they had. When the next boy was in front of me naked, I grinned. This was truly the best part of this whole thing—getting to release all my pent-up aggression and need for violence. I knelt in front of the boy and began to cut into his skin while Osprey counted above us. It was exhilarating, only cutting deep enough to make blood well up on his skin and not make him bleed excessively. The amount of control it took to not just end it quickly made the entire wait for my day worth it. His blood’s scent mixed with the aromas already lingering in the air, making both Carson and myself salivate.
When Osprey got to 958, my cuts became teasingly deeper. The boy had passed out a long time ago from the pain, but I didn’t care. I was enjoying myself. As soon as I was finished with my cuts, Elena poured salt crystals onto the boy, making him scream out in agony as she rubbed the salt into his wounds for a few minutes before Osprey had me back up so he could douse the boy in bleach. I watched as he thrashed for a few minutes before passing out again. Stupid child. I grabbed his wrist to drag my blade up his arm before stepping back to watch as his blood poured from the gash on his arm. Elena smiled at me as she hopped from foot to foot in front of me.
“Can I help you with the last two, Daddy? It’s drowning and death by fire. I like to make them suffer.”
I waved my hand at the cages where two boys were still huddled inside.
“Yes, Elena. You said there were 19 Osprey. That makes 20, excluding Silver. Where did the extra male come from?” I asked.
Osprey kicked a cage. “This little fucker was the towel boy. He was present but didn’t try to stop them, so I added him to the list.”
“Ah gotcha. Which one are we doing first, Lena?”
