Chapter 514
Ivy grabbed a wad of tissues and started cleaning up her best friend’s vornit. But when she heard Emma laughing wildly and tauntingly across the room, something inside her snapped. Without warning, Ivy shot to her feet, stormed over, and stuffed the entire ball of tissues straight and unceremoniously into Emma’s mouth.
“Mmmph! Mmmph-!”
Emma’s eyes went wide with fury. She tried to fight back, but the security guards held her arms in a vice grip. Every time she tried to spit out the tissues, Ivy clamped her hand over Emma’s mouth and nose, holding her in place.
In that moment, Ivy was truly angry.
“Emma, I don’t care if you want revenge on me. I’m not afraid if you come for my life. But you crossed the line the second you hurt someone I care about!”
Her usually elegant features twisted with vengeful rage.
Before her words had even faded, Ivy grabbed a fistful of Emma’s hair and dragged her forcefully toward the bathroom.
Jamison had never seen Ivy lose control like this–she seemed like a completely different person. Worried she might hurt herself, he quickly told Naylor to watch over Katrina and hurried after them.
He arrived just in time to see Ivy, slight and slender as she was, summon a burst of strength and shove Emma’s head down, pinning her face into the toilet bowl. Ivy pressed the flush. Water roared as Emma shrieked and thrashed, desperate to escape, but the two guards moved in, holding her down without hesitation.
zor on the sink.
With Emma subdued, Ivy glanced up and spotted a disposab She tore open the packaging, yanked Emma upright by her hair, and ran the razor in a single, merciless stroke from Emma’s forehead straight back. A thick clump of hair fell away.
At first, Emma didn’t realize what had happened. But as more hair tumbled to the floor, horror dawned on her. She erupted into frantic curses and screams.
“Ivy! You’ll pay for this! Let me go if you dare–I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!”
The more Emma yelled, the colder Ivy became.
In just a few minutes, Emma’s long, beautiful hair was reduced to a patchy, hideous
mess.

“Come on, Emma, take a good look at yourself,” Ivy sneered, hauling her forcing her to face the mirror.

Emma stared in shock, eyes bulging like she’d seen a ghost. For a heartbeat she was frozen, then she flew into a wild, kicking rage.
Ivy, however, stepped calmly back to stand beside Jamison, her composure restored, watching Emma’s meltdown with chilling detachment–as if nothing had happened at all.
Jamison said nothing. He simply placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, gently squeezing to calm her anger.
Just then, the police burst in–the vice squad, responding to the chaos.
One look at the scene and they knew something serious had gone down.
Before the officers could even bark out orders, Jamison turned to them, his tone measured and steady.
“Officers, these two kidnapped our friend and attempted to drug and assault her. Please investigate thoroughly.”
As luck would have it, the officer in charge recognized Sheridan at once.
“Mr. Carter, we meet again. Looks like you’ll be taking a little trip with us tonight.”
Emma staggered out of the bathroom and lunged for the nearest officer. “Officer, she assaulted me! Look at what she did to my hair! Arrest her–she’s a monster!”
She jabbed a finger at Ivy, but before the officer could respond, one of the security guards stepped forward and took the blame. “Officer, I’m the one who hit her and shaved her head. I’ll go with you and cooperate fully.”
Emma spun around, eyes huge in disbelief, glaring at the gua.
The police weren’t fools; they could read the room easily enough.
“All right,” the lead officer said. “Come with us and give a statement. We’ll handle it by the book.”
Sheridan, battered and seething, tried to protest, but before he could utter a word, another guard stepped up. “Officer, I’m the one who roughed up Mr. Carter. I’ll come with you, too.”
Sheridan’s jaw dropped. He was utterly speechless, for the first time realizing he had been completely outplayed by Jamison.

Chapter 514
As the tension lingered, Katrina suddenly gagged again.
Ivy rushed to her side, steadying her. “Katrina, are you all right? Who were you drinking with? How much did you have?”
Katrina couldn’t answer. She doubled over the side of the bed, vomiting violently.
Jamison’s expression darkened. “She needs a hospital–now. She could have alcohol poisoning.”
“What?” Ivy’s heart lurched. She shot up. “What are we waiting for? We need to get her to the ER!”
She reached to pull back the covers–then realized Katrina was barely dressed.
The men in the room immediately averted their eyes, politely turning away.
Jamison grabbed a white bathrobe from the hotel wardrobe and handed it over. “Get her dressed. Let’s go.”
“Right,” Ivy said, helping Katrina into the robe as quickly as she could.
But Katrina was so out of it she couldn’t even stand on her own.
Naylor, ever the gentleman, stepped in. “I’ll carry her. Jamison, you drive. Let’s move.”
