Chapter 46 You Are In Trouble, Storm
Chapter 46 You Are In Trouble, Storm
STORM'S P.O.V
I woke up to the scent of fresh sheets, roses, and something sweeter, like honey. Sunlight streaked in through the small crease in the drapes.
I moved, but my body immediately protested. I ached all over in the sweet, perfect way that hinted at a night that would be forever etched on my skin and my memory. I turned slowly, my chest heaving with the pleasant pain between my legs, on my skin, the hickeys I couldn't see yet, but I knew were right there, all over my body. I felt... beautiful. Desired. Almost powerful in my submission.
My eyes fully opened, and for the first time, Anders was still lying in bed next to me. Not awake. Not waiting. He was asleep, his lashes casting shadows against his cheekbones, his fingers curled on the edge of my waist like he didn't want to let go even in sleep.
I settled back in, moving even closer, gently wrapping my leg around his, till our legs were intertwined.
He stirred, but settled back in, closing the very tiny distance, his head resting just below my throat, his face nuzzling into my skin. I brought my hand to wrap around his back, feeling the raw marks I had left behind last night, my chin settling on his hair. His skin was warm, tight under my hands, and something in me gave way.
I wanted to protect this man. I wanted to have more nights of being slowly taken apart by him, every inch of my body explored, and then waking up to him like this. Soft, beautiful.
Even before all of this, Anders Ford had always been that man. The man whose face belonged with the stars in the sky. But laying in bed, naked, like this, watching his lips slightly parted and knowing that if I covered the distance he would kiss me right back... it made him even more breathtaking.
"You are staring," Anders whispered, his voice low, a little hoarse probably from the hours of telling me just how good I sounded screaming his name.
I swallowed, then started to say something. He started to move however, the warmth of his breaths leaving my skin. Before I could stop myself, my fingers tightened in his hair and pulled him right back, keeping his face buried in my chest.
"Stay. I want this a little longer."
He gave a small smile, one that I felt more than I saw. He adjusted, pulling me even closer, his face nuzzling deeper in my chest, his hand wrapping tight around me, moving up my spine to the back of my shoulders.
"How do you feel?"
I bit down on my lip. "Would your view of me change if I told you I feel... beautiful?"
He chuckled again. "Why would my view of you change for saying the truth?"
I gave a small laugh, my fingers caressing the nape of his neck, moving upwards to massage his scalp, eliciting a tiny moan from him.
"Not too sore?" He asked after a few minutes, his fingers gently running along my back.
"I am, but I don't intend to go anywhere."
"I made you breakfast," he said, voice low, placing a small kiss to my collar bone. "And roses. And I changed the sheets. You passed out."
I broke into a laugh. "Am I officially the first woman to pass out under you, Alpha?"
"You are not the first woman," he said simply. "You are the only woman."
I laughed. A happy laugh that should probably have sounded less giddy. But nothing with Anders made sense, and yet, here I am.
"I like that sound from you," he whispered, running his fingers up and down my stomach. "You barely laughed the first weeks after you came here. You should laugh more. We still have eleven months to make sure I am the reason for all of them."
I swallowed, my heart swelling. How could he say something so beautiful, and then remind me that, in the grand picture of both our lifetimes, we have only crumbs with each other?
I turned, till his head rested on the pillow, and I was hovering slightly above him. His eyes were dark, stormy, beautiful. I brought my hand to gently caress his face, causing him to let out a small breath.
He caught my wrist and kissed the center of my palm, then the pulse point right below.
I shivered a little, leaning forward to kiss his forehead, his eyes, the tip of his nose, his cheeks, his chin, his jaw. His fingers tightened on my waist, as my face gently nuzzled into his neck, and I left a trail of slow, wet open mouthed kisses on his already slightly bruised skin where I had let the last reins of my control slip.
"You are breathtaking, Anders," I whispered, burying my face in his shoulders, inhaling his scent, his essence.
"You little flirt, its working." He laughed, his voice a little higher, like he was blushing.
I broke into a laugh, as he pulled me up, till I was lying on him completely, his fingers tracing up and down my spine.
"You never told me what this tattoo means."
He turned slightly, then gave a small shrug. "Have you ever been eighteen and rebellious?"
I laughed. "It is hard to imagine Alpha Anders Ford being eighteen and rebellious."
"You are in for a surprise, sweetheart. This man beneath you got a tattoo at eighteen and cried himself to sleep because, well it was hideous and I regretted it."
I broke into a laugh, and he laughed with me, his fingers never stopping.
"And you know what's worse? I had to hide it for close to a year, because it wasn't a good look. Try wearing large shawls and turtle necks in the peak of summer."
I laughed again, my hands bracing on him, my body shaking. "You sound adorable."
He looked down at me, then gave a slow smile, biting down on his lips gently. My eyes immediately dropped to them, and by the time I looked back up, his eyes held the same recognition.
"You are in trouble, Storm," he whispered, and hell, I knew exactly what he meant.
