Chapter 97 Kieran Has a Fiancée

An older woman looked at her with even more concern, "Poor thing, I feel sorry for her. She must be tired."

"Olivia, how are you? Hurry upstairs and take a bath!" Before Gwyneth could reach her, Olivia's vision went black, and she fainted.

The residents of the family quarters freaked out, and Kieran got a call from his boss.

"Kieran, what the hell? Ms. Smith is an instructor, and on her first day at the Special Ops Unit, you pushed her to the point of collapse. What are you trying to do?"

Kieran was baffled. What on earth was going on?

"What do you mean?"

"She's in the hospital now, what do you think? She's here to teach, not to be bullied. I'm telling you, if anything happens to her, I won't be able to explain it. Get to the hospital immediately!"

Without waiting for his boss to finish, Kieran bolted to the hospital, not even bothering to change his clothes.

At the hospital, Gwyneth was almost in tears. Olivia had gone into shock upon arrival.

"What happened? She was fine during training this afternoon. How did she end up in the hospital?"

As soon as Kieran finished speaking, Gwyneth rushed at him.

"Kieran, did you do this on purpose? She's almost dead because of you!"

Kieran was still confused. "What exactly happened? Explain it to me!"

Why did he feel so wronged?

"Olivia got her period, and you made her train in the water pit. Just wait until Mr. Phillips comes back to deal with you!" Gwyneth snapped.

Moments earlier, Gwyneth had received a call from Henry that left her in a cold sweat under its pressure.

That night, Olivia had a high fever, and Kieran was labeled a demon in the family quarters, worsening his already bad reputation.

"She's too physically weak. How can someone like that join the Special Ops Unit? Mr. Schmidt, you're not training soldiers, you're risking lives! She almost died just now!" The emergency doctor remarked as he came out, making Kieran almost kick him in anger.

"Speak properly. What's wrong with her?"

Doctor Joseph Kate glanced at him, barely holding back his anger.

"She got her period and then soaked in water. Prolonged exposure to cold water caused hypothermia! Mr. Schmidt, you're really famous in the Special Ops Unit. While others train with determination and hard work, you push them to the edge of danger!"

Great, Kieran was quickly becoming the joke of the Special Ops Unit.

The next morning, during training, Kieran saw Olivia already standing in the lineup and walked over, surprised.

"Olivia, you..."

"Mr. Schmidt, I'm fine."

Kieran had never seen a woman like her, so stubborn and harder on herself than on others.

After her morning training, Olivia went to the cafeteria where Gwyneth had already prepared her meal—oatmeal porridge. However, Olivia's appetite had increased significantly compared to before.

Gwyneth didn't understand why Olivia wanted to suffer here. Naturally, Olivia wouldn't reveal the reason; knowing Gwyneth's temper, she would undoubtedly become agitated.

"Can I attend the class? I'm just idle anyway," Gwyneth said.

Olivia calmly ate her meal, showing no signs of the high fever she had the night before.

"You can go, but I have one condition!"

Gwyneth, happy to finally have something to do, quickly agreed. "Any condition is fine, I'll listen!"

Olivia gave Gwyneth a meaningful smile. "For today's class, you can't leave halfway, and you have to eat lunch there. If you agree, I'll take you."

Gwyneth nodded, thinking it was no big deal.

But when they arrived, Gwyneth was stunned.

"You have class in the dissection room?" Gwyneth stood at the door, hesitant to go in.

Olivia smiled at her. "What else? This is the Special Operations Unit, not a police academy."

The cases handled by the Special Operations Unit were very dangerous, and some were unique cases that they had to deal with. However, in terms of investigation, the Special Operations Unit members were somewhat lacking, which was why Olivia was brought in for training.

The two forensic doctors admired Olivia greatly. As soon as she arrived, they handed her case files. Olivia explained each one, all of which were thrilling and disturbing, at least for Gwyneth.

Gwyneth couldn't last ten minutes in the class and left, while Olivia continued teaching without troubling her.

"Today's lesson is about bone measurement—How to calculate a person's height, weight, and approximate age from a single bone!"

Olivia took out a leg bone and began teaching them how to measure, calculate, and understand the techniques involved.

The class lasted two hours, and Gwyneth couldn't fathom how they could talk about a bone for that long.

"Ms. Smith, your experience is extensive!"

"Yes, this calculation method is amazing. I just tried it, and the accuracy can reach eighty percent!"

Olivia smiled. "This calculation method is the brainchild of Mr. Taylor from the police academy. He has been researching this for over thirty years. If you have time, you should talk to him more!"

They ate lunch outside the dissection room, a first-time experience for Gwyneth.

"Do you always eat right outside when dissecting bodies?" Gwyneth couldn't help but ask.

Olivia gave all the meat in her lunchbox to Gwyneth and only ate the vegetables herself.

"Sometimes we eat right in the dissection room, squatting on the floor. After eating, we continue working." As Olivia finished speaking, the three forensic doctors nodded in agreement, while Gwyneth looked genuinely disgusted.

Olivia couldn't stop laughing, but a forensic doctor next to her tugged on her sleeve and asked. "Ms. Smith, you seem very close to Gwyneth?"

Olivia glanced at the doctor and noticed the concerned look on her face, causing her own brow to furrow.

"We grew up together, and she lived in my house for a long time." Olivia said.

This forensic doctor, if Olivia remembered correctly, was named Zoey Schmidt.

"Actually, we are embarrassed to bring this up with Gwyneth, but maybe you could. Kieran is my cousin, and he got engaged last year. He's about to get married, but Gwyneth is living at Kieran's place. I know Gwyneth doesn't have anywhere else to live, but she can't occupy Kieran's house, right? You see..."

Olivia's face darkened. She glanced at Gwyneth, who was still naively vomiting on the side, and felt a surge of anger.

"I think Gwyneth doesn't know that Mr. Schmidt is already engaged. As for living in the family quarters, we will pay Mr. Schmidt rent, not a penny less. Gwyneth is not a pitiful person. Her father is a diplomat, and her mother is a lawyer. Forget the family quarters, they could buy an entire building outside."

When Olivia left, her face was very unpleasant, but she held it together in front of Gwyneth.

Back at the family quarters, Gwyneth looked at her with an accusatory expression. "I'm going to tell Autumn, you bullied me."
