One Week Later
Jayden sat in the hotel with Mason and Liam. Stuffing his face with his cheesesteak, he looked bopped his head. “We’re brothers…we’re happy and we’re singing and we’re col-“ He paused and looked from Liam to Mason. "You think I was adopted?”
Liam stared at him. "What stupid shit are you about to irritate the fuck out of me with now?”
Jayden growled. "I’M JUST ASKING A QUESTION!”
"WELL DO YOU FEEL ADOPTED?!”
"HOW THE FUCK DOES SOMEBODY FEEL ADOPTED?!”
Jumping in one another face, Liam poked Jayden. "I DON’T KNOW BUT YOU’RE LITERALLY WORRIED ABOUT THE WRONG SHIT! STOP BEING STUPID AND ANNOYING!”
Jayden retched his head back. "Look who calling someone stupid, Mr. I lost my car in the parking lot for ten minutes.”
Liam scoffed. "Many people do that.”
"NOT WHEN IT’S AN EMPTY PARKING LOT YOU FUCKING WALKING SEA SPONGE! HOW YOU SURVIVE WITHOUT FORGETTING TO BREATHE IS BEYOND ME!”
Mason grabbed his head. "Can you two please knock it off? I have a migraine and it’s not helping all of the stares we’re getting.” Calming they looked around seeing the Succubi drawn to them. "I get that we’re now walking sex on a stick, but it still makes me feel filthy as hell. Like excuse me but this ass is prime meat. A whoop and a holla is not about to get you a slice.”
Jayden stared at Mason. "What in the actual fuck did you just say?”
“I honestly don’t kno-“ The murmurs and the swirls of calls increased interrupting his words. They looked up and saw Noah walking towards them uncomfortably.
"What is this all about?” He asked, looking around in discomfort.
"Apparently we have a new aura and you, my king are a walking sex God,” Mason replied.
Noah rolled his eyes. "Great, just another thing I need on my plate.”
They all looked at him.
"What’s wrong?” Jayden asked.
"Katrina disappeared. I called her family, friends and everybody I could think of, and it’s like she completely fell off the face of the Earth.”
"You think Sahir had something to do with it?” He shrugged.
"I don’t know, but the entire thing honestly is giving me the creeps.”
Mason leaned in. "You know, they said Melanie disappeared too…what if Sahir somehow got to them both?”
"But why would he target them? I mean I guess I get Melanie, but Katrina is human, doesn’t make much sense.”
"Neither does a human having access to memory wiping fairy dust.”
Noah had to agree, the entire thing felt really strange and unsettling on top of everything else that was happening.
Liam grinned. "Well, I guess we’re going to have to find out from Sahir himself.”
Noah inhaled sharply. "Yes, I was thinking about that. If he’s hard to track down, how the hell am I going to find him?”
Liam adjusted his position. Placing his legs on top of the table, he leaned back in his chair. "A king doesn’t go to a peasant. Call him…Lilith said something about some supernaturals having the ability to be summoned.” Just hearing her name made Noah’s eyes flash white in anger and Liam threw up his hands. "Okay…okay no more mention of-the woman who is our woman and technically yours, but you two are beefing right now, so we’re going to pretend that she’s not.”
Noah grinded his teeth. "You heard her loud and clear.”
Jayden nodded. "And she was way out of line, but even you have to admit it’s curious that Sahir targeted you out of everyone. I think that maybe you and Lil should straighten everything out between you both once and for all. No secrets no lies, and if you decide to let it go…we won’t press it.”
"I agree.”
Noah stilled hearing Lilith behind him. Her perfume wrapping itself around his body, he inhaled. "Lilith.”
"Noah…can we talk? A genuine conversation, once and for all.”
Noah looked at his brothers and they all shook their heads.
"Oh stop being a stubborn ass and go, you know you want to.” Liam teased.
Sighing, he nodded before following Lilith to her office. Shutting the door behind him, he eyed her. She fidgeted with her fingers. "I’m so sorry. I don’t know why I said that. I didn’t even believe it. I just-I feel like-I know it makes no sense so early but-“
Noah walked towards her, and pulled her in his arms. Kissing her deeply, he left her in a daze. "Lil, you need to tell me right now what it is you want because I’m not doing this with you any longer. I know how I feel about you. I know that I want you but every time you get pissed with me, you turn on me. I need you to decide, and if it’s me-I want to no-I NEED to be on the same playing field as my brothers.”
Lilith caressed his face. "I love you.” She saw his face brighten.
"You do?”
She nodded. "Very much, and I think that-no, I know that I want to be with you. I want you to go through the claiming ceremony if you think eventually you could love me too.”
Noah clasped her face. "I already do. I just needed to know that you felt the same way.” Sitting on the couch in her office, Noah folded one leg over the other. "There’s something I need to tell you.”
She joined him at his side. "Okay”
"I had a daughter.”
Lilith's eyes widened. "Had?”
“She was sick. I had been so busy at work, and I didn't realize it in time. One day she had a 104 fever and vomiting, I went to rush her to the hospital. I put her in the car but I forgot to double check her seatbelt...and a drunk driver…”
Lilith wrapped her arms around his neck. “Oh Noah…” She placed her head into the crook of his neck.
"None of this Incubus, Katrina, and fairy dust stuff makes sense but you and my brothers do…and I want to be completely open with you from here on out.” Lilith smiled and kissed him on the lips and Noah finally felt better.
"Speaking of which, Katrina is missing.”
She stared at him. "So is Melanie.”
"I know”
"Y-you don’t think Sahir…”
"I plan to find out.”
Lilith held onto him. "Please be careful.”
He kissed the top of her head. "I will sweetheart.”

Noah paced his penthouse knowing his brothers were in the shadows. Gathering as much anger as he could muster, he shifted his form. "SAHIR GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE RIGHT FUCKING NOW!” Immediately Sahir appeared and cowered in front of Noah. Noah glared at him. "So, you already know why I’ve summoned you.”
"Y-yes my king, and I need you to know IT WASN’T MY IDEA!”
Noah blew steam from his nose and folded his arms to his chest. "Who has betrayed me? I suggest you spill because as if right now, the only person I know it to be is you.”
Sahir's body shook. "I told her that drugging you was a poor idea but-but she said that she had you under her control and once she made the fairy dust more potent, she got really cocky. The entire Grace idea was hers too!”
Katrina knew Sahir? WHAT THE FUCK ABOUT GRACE?
Noah was floored and angry, but he knew that he needed to continue if he was to know everything. "Where the hell is she?”
He shook his head. "Not to worry my king, Melanie has been disposed of and she will never harm you again.”
Noah turned.
What the fuck has Melanie have to do with this?
"My king?” Sahir called out him.
Noah faced him again glaring. "So it was just you two?”
Sahir patted his chest. "Of course not! You know I would never betray you in such a way unless I was to be threatened of my own lively hood.”
Noah cut his eyes. "Oh, and who is it that threatened you?”
"It was-“Sahir's mouth dropped as his throat tightened. Noah watched as his body lifted. His face turning different shades as he struggled to breathe. Noah looked around, his eyes landing on his hidden brothers. A large tear coursed through the air, and Sahir’s body ripped in two. It fell to the ground, his blood covering every bit of Noah's living room.
"WHAT THE FUCK NOAH?!” Jayden stalked from the shadows wide-eyed.
As he watched Mason and Liam join Jayden, Noah looked back to the torn body. A chill went up to his spine, as he turned back to them. "I didn’t do that.”
They all remained silent staring at one another. "T-Then who did?”
Noah took a long exhale. "I-I don’t know”
As they continued to look at Sahir’s body, they had no idea they were being watched. Morrigan growled from the darkness.
"Goddamn!” Disappearing, she began to plot her next move against her sister.
