Epilogue

Thea was five months into her pregnancy, and as agreed by her and Angel, they were going to do a gender reveal with the entire family. Decorations had been set up for the day, and they decided to use blue and pink as the general color theme, representing the male and female gender.

Angel and Thea weren't the only ones with preferences for their child's sex. While Thea wanted a boy who looked like Angel, Angel wanted a girl who looked like her. Similarly, Camila and Caspian wanted a boy so he could be Casimir's age and play with him, while Cassandra and Knight wanted a girl. Cassie wanted a girl she could twin with in dresses, play with makeup, and do other fun things. Knight wanted the same because they already had a boy, and it would be balanced to have a princess too.

Florentine kept her preference to herself; one could say she simply wanted another baby in the mansion, regardless of gender.

While Louisa and Scott also wanted a grandkid, it didn't matter what gender.

Everyone was outside, well-dressed and ready for the right powder to be popped. They were all excited and very expectant. Dr. Robert, the clinic's doctor, was the only one who knew the gender of their child. Florentine wanted to participate in the excitement, so she opted out of any ultrasound for Thea to determine the sex.

Everyone stood with their partner, while Thea and Angel held the powder cannons ready to reveal the child's gender.

"Ready?" everyone yelled in unison, and they both screamed a "yes."

"Three, two, one!" they all screamed as they counted down, and immediately Thea and Angel popped the powders. The air filled with both blue and pink smoke.

Everyone paused, mid-excitement, confused, curious, stunned. Guesses filled their minds, and they all stared at each other, hoping someone would clarify.

"What just happened?" Thea asked, still frozen. Angel was as shocked and confused as she was.

Excitement hung in the air; they just needed someone to confirm or clarify what had happened.

"What does this mean? Is it a boy or a girl?" Angel asked, voicing his confusion.

"Oh my gosh!" Cassie said, her hands slightly covering her lips, her eyes wide with excitement.

"No way," Caspian said, squinting as he also considered a possibility.

Florentine covered her mouth and burst into tears, while Dr. Robert kept smiling as he watched them all.

"Robert, what's going on?" Angel asked, and everyone turned to Robert. "Both colors were different. This was supposed to be a surprise. Has it been ruined?" Thea asked, genuinely concerned that a mistake might have been made.

Robert shrugged, but his smile never left his face. "It still remains a surprise," he finally spoke, and they looked at everyone, then at the residue of pink and blue powder, and then at each other.

Angel's jaw dropped, and Thea gasped, shaking.

"How is this possible?" Thea said, looking down at her belly. Everyone had surrounded them. "Are we having twins, Angel?" she asked, looking to her husband for clarification. She was too shocked to digest the news at once.

"I-I guess that's what it means. Right, Robert? Florentine?" Angel said, looking at both of them for reassurance.

"I think so," Florentine replied, also expectant.

Dr. Robert stepped forward, patted Angel's shoulder, and smiled at Thea. "Mr. and Mrs. Orion, you're having a boy and a girl. You're having twins," he said, finally confirming everyone's suspicions.

Everyone erupted in excitement, and Angel immediately hugged Thea.

"My goodness, I can't believe this," Angel said, expressing his excitement. "We're having a boy and a girl, Thea!" he said again, overflowing with joy. He hugged her again and kissed her while she teared up.

"Oh my! Thea, my love. I'm going to be a grandma of two. I am so proud of you," Louisa said, moving to hug Thea while Scott did same. Louisa looked at Angel and smiled. "I'm proud of you both," she said and embraced them.

Meanwhile, Caspian and Camila moved to Knight and Cassandra. "Since you wanted a girl, we can let you both be the baby girl's godparents. Camila and I will be the baby boy's godparents," they said, already vying for the position. Angel and Thea overheard them and chuckled.

"We are sorry to disappoint you guys, but it's going to be Florentine," Angel said.

Florentine was shocked, wondering if they were being serious. "What?" she asked, her voice shaky.

"Thea and I agreed on it a while ago," Angel answered, and she quickly pulled them into a hug, tearing up in joy.

"You have no idea how much I wanted this. I just didn't want to push it. You mean I'll be both their godmother?" she asked again, and they nodded, reassuring her.

"Of course, Florentine. Thea and I can't be Knight and Cassie's kids' godparents, so obviously it has to be Caspian and Camila. Casimir has us as godparents. It is not only fair to you, but you are who we want. Your motherly affection, we want you to love our kids as your own," Angel explained, and she nodded, wiping her tears, while Carl pulled her in for a hug too, congratulating her on the position.

"Of course. I'll love them with all my heart," Florentine said.

The party continued, and Thea sat on Angel's lap while he rubbed her bump.

"Do you think it came back to us?" Angel asked, and Thea seemed a bit confused.

"What?" she asked.

"Our baby..." he said, his eyes glistening with tears, as were hers once she realized what he was talking about.

"I don't know, but I want to believe so," Thea said, and Angel smiled.

"I believe it. I genuinely do," he said, and Thea nodded, feeling emotional as she remembered their baby whom they didn't get to meet. She cupped Angel's face in her palm and placed her forehead on his.

"I agree too. It came back with its sibling," Thea said, choosing to believe just like Angel did.

They stared at each other a little longer before brushing their lips against each other.

"I can't wait to see our babies," Angel said.

"I can't wait too."

"Gosh! I love them so much already." The intensity with which he said it caused Thea to admire him even more.

"You're going to be a wonderful father," she said to him.

"And you're going to be the best mum," he complimented back. They pulled in for another kiss. "Look at that," he pointed at everyone, while Thea followed his finger. "That's the number of people who will love our children so dearly," he said, and Thea's eyes lit up even more.

"I'm so happy that I came to know everyone. To have this life. Life is going to be so much fun. With all our kids," Thea said.

"Angel! Thea! Come in for the family pictures," Cassie called excitedly.

"Let's go make some memories, my love," Angel said and took her hand as they walked towards the rest.

A picture was taken with each couple, individually, then just Angel and Thea. Then the entire family joined in, with Angel and Thea in the middle.

Angel smiled at her as he looked at her while the pictures were being taken.

"You're the hottest mum ever," he whispered, admiring Thea all over again.

"Ooh... And you're the hottest dad ever," Thea said as well.

"I swear our kids are going to be so pretty and handsome, just like you and me." Thea laughed, and he stole a kiss from her just as the photographer took the picture, capturing a timeless memory that will forever live in their hearts and minds.

The testament of a love so unrelenting, so fierce, so intentional, a love that shouldn't have been from the very beginning but was meant to be in the very end.
