“Thank you,” Estelle uttered in a soft voice.
“You don’t need to thank me. I didn’t buy it,” Victor said, “And you don’t have to try to smoke me out. I won’t tell you where we are. There’s no pharmacy nearby. I brought it back from Hadale on our way back.”
“You didn’t buy it? Then who bought it?” Estelle asked.

“Yes, I took it and left the pharmacy without paying it,” Victor said calmly.
“So you stole it from the pharmacy?! Didn’t the sales clerk find out about it?”
“She did, but I managed to drive away quickly. Oh, and the car I drove belonged to Cristofer. It’s quite convenient that I look exactly like him. I pretended to be Cristofer and told the hotel’s front desk that I needed a car. They quickly arranged one for me and respectfully handed over the car key,” Victor grinned.

“I’ve never had the chance to drive a Porsche. I might give one of his Porsches a spin if I get the opportunity,” Victor remarked.
“He actually sold all his Porsche cars,” Estelle stated.
Skeptical, Victor asked, “Was he so strapped for cash that he had to sell his cars?”
“It’s a complicated story. He sold them for my sake,” Estelle explained.
Observing her expression, Victor chuckled and said, “Estelle, you still have feelings for him.”
Upon hearing this, Estelle frowned slightly.
“You don’t want to admit it? People often reveal their true feelings unintentionally. If you didn’t care for him, you wouldn’t have said he sold the cars for you. Women tend to say one thing but mean another,” Victor remarked.
Estelle quickly denied, “I don’t...”
“If you genuinely didn’t care about him, you wouldn’t be concerned about what he did for you. But your expression a moment ago revealed that you still do care. In fact, you’ve already forgiven Cristofer in your heart,” Victor asserted.
Hearing what he had said, Estelle bit her lower lip and said nothing.
“It’s meaningless to talk about this. He will die soon, and you can’t be with him anymore,” Victor said, resting his hands on his waist and watching the sunset. “Apply the ointment to your wrist quickly, or your skin will be scarred.”
After a moment of silence, Estelle opened the box and applied the blistering ointment to her wrists. Suddenly, Victor held her in his arms from behind. Then Estelle heard a click. Before she realized what had happened, Victor let go of her.
“I just took a photo. Don’t be afraid,” Victor said with a smile and then looked down at the photo that he had just taken with his phone. “You look so beautiful in the photo.”
“Are you going to send the photo to Cristofer and entice him to come here?” Estelle was smart and immediately guessed what Victor wanted to do.
“I can’t do anything to him in Hadale, so I can only ask him to come here. In this way, I can carry out my revenge plan successfully.”
