“Estelle, do you know who the investor could be?” Rebecca queried. “I remember that you helped your father with the company’s affairs before, so I thought you must know more people in the financial world than me. I’m just asking. It doesn’t matter if you answer my queries or not.”
“After all, many things happened between you and Cristofer in the past years... Bah! I’ll call that bad man ‘Scum Hans’ from now on! Many things happened between you and Scum Hans, and you may not have the energy to pay attention to the financial world these years. Forget it. I’ll ask someone else about it later. I’m so curious about that mysterious investor,” Rebecca frowned as she continued chatting.
“Rebecca...” Estelle called her name with a hesitant look.

“Then shall I meet him? He has helped our family a lot. My father wants to thank him in person,” Rebecca gripped her hands.
Estelle shook her head instantly, “I don’t know if he would grant your request. He probably doesn’t want to expose his identity. Let me ask him first.”
“Okay.” Rebecca smiled at her, feeling grateful.
Estelle then took out her phone and texted Mr. Mysterious.
When she was about to put down her phone, she received a reply from him.
‘They don’t need to thank me. They should thank you. The Hudson family is neither my relative nor my friend. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have helped them.’
Seeing his response, Estelle tightened her grip on the phone.
“Did he agree... Oh, my God! Your Mr. Mysterious is so cool.” Rebecca, who leaned over and saw the message, was surprised and exclaimed.
Estelle smiled and said awkwardly, “It seems that he doesn’t want others to know about his identity.”
Rebecca nodded and said, “He must be a powerful financial giant who can’t expose his identity easily. Estelle, this gentleman is so good to you. He helped my family and injected ten million dollars into our company without hesitation just because I helped you yesterday. He is much better than Scum Hans. Listen to me. Get divorced as soon as possible. I think Mr. Mysterious is very good, and you should cherish him.”
Estelle shrugged helplessly, “Are you my good friend or his good friend? Do you still remember what you thought of him yesterday?”
Rebecca pulled her arms, wicking, “I’m certainly your good friend. And just because of this, I hope you can live a good life. Although this Mr. Mysterious is a little strange, he seems to be willing to take care of you, and you look happy being with him.”
Estelle shook her head and quickly explained, “The one he cares about is not me.”
“What do you mean?”
“He has his beloved one.”
“What? Then he... he is keeping you as his mistress?” Rebecca exclaimed, eyes wide open. As soon as she finished speaking, she realised that her words were inappropriate and hastily explained, “Sorry. I didn’t mean that. I mean, since he has his beloved woman, why does he still keep such a relationship with you? He is even more despicable than Scum Hans!”
Estelle felt it was hard to explain her relationship with Mr. Mysterious in just a few words and didn’t know where to start.
After thinking a while, she said briefly, “Here is the thing. Mr. Mysterious loves a woman, but that woman has married someone else. And I look similar to that person, so...”
“So he wants you to be a substitute for that woman?” Rebecca asked before Estelle finished her words.
“Well... you can say that way,” Estelle gently smiled.
Rebecca was shocked, “I’m speechless. When you said the first sentence, I thought he was a good man. But the next sentence turned my world upside down!”
Estelle held her hand and wore a reassuring smile, “Although he treats me as a substitute, he has helped your family, hasn’t he? That’s good for me.”
Rebecca felt a little guilty and said with a depressed look, “Estelle, thank you very much. You helped me a lot. How can I ever repay your kindness?”
“You can also help me. Didn’t I ask you to help me find a job?” Estelle reminded her with a gentle smile.
Hearing her statement, Rebecca patted her forehead and suddenly remembered what she promised.

“Rebecca,” Estelle stopped her instantly. “Although I majored in jewellery design at the popular university, I dropped out after only two years. So I don’t have a college diploma. So now I only have a high-school diploma...”
Rebecca was a little surprised, giving her a sympathetic look, “Did you drop out because of Cristofer?”
Estelle nodded with a bitter smile and suddenly shook her head.

But after Yohan was born, he was diagnosed with septicemia and could only stay in the ICU.

Then they walked into a jewellery store together.
“Why did they go to the jewellery store?” Rebecca asked and suddenly realised something. “Is Cristofer going to marry that bitch?”
Estelle looked away and said indifferently, “Yes.”
‘Cristofer has long wanted to marry Gretchen. If it weren’t for me, Gretchen would have become Mrs. Hans six years ago.’
“Estelle, come on. Let’s go to the jewellery store too!” Rebecca urged her as she pulled Estelle’s hand.
