“When did I help you?” Cristofer was confused.
“You... helped me indirectly,” Justin explained abruptly.
“You mean in business? But there are no business dealings between us,” Cristofer was still confused, looking at him.
“It’s not about the business. It’s about the relationship between Rebecca and me.”

Justin hesitated and said, “There were some things that happened involving you and Miss Hudson before the car accident and during your coma. But I’m not sure if I should tell you.”
“Justin, we’re friends. I hope you won’t keep anything from me, especially when it concerns Estelle. Now, tell me everything.”
“But if you find out, then Estelle will know too. She might not be happy about it, or she might not be able to handle it.”
“In that case, never mind. Don’t tell me,” Cristofer smiled and said.
“Don’t you want to know what happened during that time?” Justin asked.
“Of course, I’m curious. But if it’ll make Estelle unhappy, then it’s better that I don’t know,” Cristofer replied.
Hearing this, Justin sighed and asked, “Cristofer, have you thought about the future of your relationship with Estelle?”
“I’m willing to do whatever it takes to keep her with me,” Cristofer said.
“Your words remind me of the old you,” Justin chuckled, “You haven’t changed a bit.”
“What?”
“Nothing,” Justin said, then walked over to Cristofer and gave his shoulder a gentle pat. “If you and Estelle get back together, I’ll tell you everything.”
“Alright,” Cristofer nodded.
“I’m going to find Rebecca now. She’s alone, and I worry about her,” Justin said.
Cristofer couldn’t help but smile and tease him, “She’s your girlfriend, not your child. Rebecca is an adult. Are you afraid she’ll get lost in my house?”
Justin chuckled in response and said, “Sometimes, she acts like a child, and I feel like I need to look out for her. Anyway, take care of Estelle. She doesn’t seem to be doing well.” He motioned for Cristofer to check on Estelle, who had walked to a corner during their conversation.
Turning his head, Cristofer saw Estelle standing in the corner with her back to them and her head lowered. Then he nodded at Justin and walked toward Estelle.
“Estelle?”
Estelle turned around with a trace of flusters on her face. “What’s up?”
“What are you thinking?”
“Nothing...”
“Don’t worry. The wound doesn’t hurt,” Cristofer gently smiled at her, reassuring her.
Estelle then looked at him and said, “I’m afraid that all people in the upper class in Hadale have known that we’re a couple.”
“You are worried that Mr. Mysterious will also know that, right?” Cristofer asked, having seen through her.
Estelle didn’t answer his question.
“Well, if Mr. Mysterious comes back to you one day and you are still willing to be with him, I will explain it to him for you. I’ll tell him that what you did just now was just to help me and that our relationship is fake. Is that okay?”
Estelle quickly replied, her expression tense, “He... Let’s not talk about him. He won’t come back to me anymore. It doesn’t matter what he thinks about our relationship.”
“Estelle, I’ve been wondering why Mr. Mysterious left you. Didn’t he care about you a lot before?” Cristofer asked.
“He had something important to do,” Estelle quickly made an alibi.
“Does that important thing require him to leave you?” Cristofer probed.
“I don’t know how to explain it. In short, if he chose to stay with me, I would have been a hindrance to his future. Mr. Mysterious helped me immensely and pulled me out of a dark time in my life. Out of gratitude and love, I can’t do anything that might ruin his life. He deserves a bright future, and I can’t be a burden to him,” Estelle explained.
Hearing her words, Cristofer became perplexed. “We were both born and raised in Hadale, and I’ve been living here my whole life. If Mr. Mysterious is truly famous and influential, I should have heard of him, but I’ve never come across anyone like that.”
Estelle hesitated, then replied, “He has his reasons, and he has intentionally kept a low profile.”
Cristofer pressed further, “Then tell me how to contact him. Share the name of his company or any information that can help me reach him. I’ll find out why he chose to leave you for his career.”

“No choice?” Cristofer interrupted, growing more serious. “Was he forced to leave you? Was someone threatening him with your life, leaving him with no option but to walk away from you?”
