Getting the answer from her silence again, Cristofer said, “The reason must have something to do with Mr. Mysterious.”
Hearing his statement, Estelle was a little surprised. “How do you know that?”
“Every time I ask you questions about him, you will fall into silence,” Cristofer explained, and then he added, “Just now, I asked you if you two slept in the same bedroom; you fell silent and didn’t answer me.”
“I did sleep in the same bedroom with Mr. Mysterious. But we were very busy every day and didn’t have much time to spend with each other. Forget it. It’s unnecessary for me to explain it to you,” Estelle subconsciously explained to him but then felt there was no need to do so.
As soon as she finished her words, she heard a squeal of brakes, and then the car stopped abruptly, nearly tipping her out of her seat.
After the car was stopped, Estelle’s first reaction was to look at the two children to ensure they were safe. Fortunately, the children were both in the child seats with their seat belts fastened.
Seeing that they were fine, Estelle breathed a sigh of relief and said to Cristofer unhappily, “The children are with us. Could you drive carefully?”
Cristofer quickly turned to see if the children were okay.

“Do you still hate me? Will you hate me forever?” Cristofer asked again.
“I don’t even know how long I can live. So, I can’t answer your question,” Estelle snapped back.
“So, you mean maybe you will hate me until the last moment of your life?” Cristofer stubbornly asked again.
“Life is short. Just let go of the past and enjoy your life. Countless people envy your current life. You should cherish it. Besides, your business is growing rapidly, and tens of thousands of employees are working for you. Thinking about your work is more important than thinking about our relationship, Cristofer.”

Suddenly, they heard a string of angry and impatient blows of car horns.
It was rush hour. Cristofer suddenly stopping his car just now had caused a traffic jam, and the drivers in the cars behind them were unhappy about it.
“Let’s go. Don’t keep others waiting,” Estelle urged him.
Nodding, Cristofer started the car and pulled away quickly.

“Uncle Luke called me and said that Grandpa has been better than before. He asked me to take you and the kids to visit Grandpa on Saturday.”

“You have an appointment on Saturday?” Cristofer asked.

Cristofer's face was slightly darkened again when he heard this. “With whom? Tim?”
“No,” Estelle said helplessly, “It’s Rebecca. She’s a staff member of the TV station now and is working on a new TV program. We have an appointment to meet at the TV station on Saturday. And I want to try to look for a liver donor for Christina through the TV program.”

Estelle then unfastened the seat belts for Yohan and Yvonne and helped them get out of the car.
“Yohan, Yvonne, say goodbye to Dad,” she said, holding their hands.
Yvonne waved goodbye to Cristofer while Yohan winked at Cristofer secretly.
Yohan then quickly asked, “Dad, didn’t you promise Yvonne that you will tell her a story tonight? Why are you leaving now? Won’t you coax her to sleep?”
