“Sir, why did you bring me here?” she asked with a puzzled look.
“We haven’t been here together before. This amusement park had the biggest Ferris Wheel in our city. We can take a ride on the Ferris Wheel and watch stars on it.”
Hearing this, Estelle chuckled and said, “Sir, are you sure that you really didn’t read my diary? Watching stars on the Ferris Wheel was one of my wishes when I was twenty.”
“Love can foster telepathy,” Mr. Mysterious said gently. “Feel free to tell me all your wishes before we leave Hadale, and I’ll help you fulfill them. After that, we’ll leave here without looking back.” Then he pulled Estelle into the amusement park and walked straight to the Ferris wheel.
There weren’t many people in the amusement park today, so they didn’t have to wait in line and got into a gondola of the Ferris Wheel directly.
Soon, the Ferris Wheel began to slowly move around, and the gondola rose higher and higher.
It got dark early in late autumn, and the night had fallen.
When they reached the highest point, they saw that colorful lights brightly lit the whole city. When they raised their heads, they saw stars studding the clear sky. The scenery was so beautiful that they couldn’t take their eyes off it.
“It’s so beautiful.” Leaning against the window, Estelle marveled while fixing her eyes on the sky. “The starry sky was as beautiful as it was on that day six years ago.”
“That day? You mean your birthday?”
“Yes,” Estelle nodded. “I used to envy the sun. It’s so bright and can make people feel warm. On the other hand, the stars can’t do that. They’re scattered in the sky, giving out only faint lights. They appear small and insignificant, unnoticed by most except during the night. Few people seem to like or care about them.”
Mr. Mysterious’ heart jolted when he heard this.
He knew what Estelle meant.
Back then, he treated Gretchen as the sunshine in his life and ignored Estelle.
Only recently did he come to realize that Gretchen was not his sunshine but a devil who had caused the death of his parents. He had almost lost Estelle because of Gretchen.
Every time he dwelled on this, he felt an overwhelming sense of self-hatred for his past ignorance. He was so blind and foolish that he repeatedly hurt the woman he loved the most and failed to believe her.
‘It was all my fault. No wonder Estelle is disappointed with me. I should have trusted her no matter what happened. Fortunately, now I still have a chance to be with her.’ Cristofer thought.
“Estelle, will you marry me?” he suddenly asked.
Estelle, who was watching the stars, was surprised by his words. The next moment, she blushed and stammered in shyness, “You... You brought me here today to propose to me?”
Mr. Mysterious chuckled. “No, I just brought you here to watch the stars. But I suddenly feel that I should do something meaningful under such a beautiful starry sky.”
Although Estelle had already made up her mind to spend the rest of her life with him, his sudden proposal still made her at a loss for what to do.
“Well, this is a little abrupt,” she said. “I need some time to think about it.”
Mr. Mysterious kissed her forehead and nodded, “Okay. Tell me if you have any requirements, and I will meet them all.”
With a playful grin, Estelle responded to his promise, “Don’t brag. Are you sure you can meet all my requirements?”
“Yes.”
“What if I want a star in the sky? Can you get one for me?”
“Yes, and I’ve already made it,” Mr. Mysterious said. “I bought the naming right of an asteroid. You can name it.”
Estelle didn’t expect that he would do this for her and asked in shock, “Really? So, this is the present that you said you would give me as long as I marry you?”
“Yes.”
“It must be very expensive!”
“No matter how much it costs, it’s worth it. So... Will you marry me?”
Estelle smiled happily and leaned closer to him, “I made a wish list in my diary when I was twenty. I don’t know if you have ever read my diary, but that’s not important now. Anyway, what you did for me these days happened to make all my wishes come true except for two of them. One of my unfulfilled wishes is to buy a new car for my father. However, I will never be able to fulfill this wish in my life.”
“What’s the other one?” Mr. Mysterious inquired patiently.
She took a deep breath and said, “The other one is that I want to watch the snow in Hadale.”
Mr. Mysterious didn’t say anything.
Estelle then continued, “Sir, you are always omnipotent. Can you make it snow in Hadale?”
“If I can make it, will you marry me?”
“Yes.”
Mr. Mysterious said seriously, “As long as you accept my proposal, I can make it.”
Hearing this, Estelle felt a little embarrassed. “Well... I was just saying. Even when it is in the coldest season, the temperature in Hadale will be over ten degrees Celsius. How is it possible that it will snow? This wish is too childish and unrealistic. Don’t take it seriously.”
“But Estelle, I’ve taken it seriously.”
Estelle looked into his eyes, confused and speechless.
“You just promised me that you would marry me as long as I can make it snow in Hadale. I took your words seriously,” Cristofer said with sincerity.

“Miss Hudson, these are the list of the other important clients of our company. I have sorted them out.” A manager came into Estelle’s office and put a stack of documents in front of her.
“Thank you,” Estelle nodded gracefully, “Is there any news about my uncle?”
“Yes,” the manager responded with an embarrassed look. “But...”
“It’s okay. Just tell me what you know.”
The manager smiled awkwardly and said, “Mr. Grantham is currently enjoying himself in the Mediterranean. He traveled there with several celebrities and influencers on his private plane and has been partying every day. He has recently made headlines.”
Estelle was shocked to hear this. “Headlines? When did that happen?”
“Yesterday morning. Since you didn’t come to the company yesterday, you were unaware. The news caused quite a stir in the company, and many staff members resigned. These are their resignation letters. Please take a look,” the manager explained.
Feeling speechless and upset, Estelle sighed.
“Ask the human resources department to start recruiting new employees immediately to ensure the smooth operation of the business,” she instructed.
