“Mr. Mysterious should have enjoyed a good life and shared the properties of the Hans family with Cristofer. However, their parents abandoned him because of his mental illness. And they only cared about Cristofer, as if they had completely forgotten their elder son. Therefore, Mr. Mysterious has borne a grudge against the Hans family and wants to get back the family properties that belong to him from Cristofer!”
Hearing this, Estelle frowned and said, “But Mr. Mysterious doesn’t lack money.”
“This is not a matter of money but a matter of dignity,” Rebecca said firmly. “Now I can even imagine what his life was like. He was abandoned by his parents at a young age and lived a hard life. Since he was not powerful enough before, he could only see his younger brother in the limelight, enjoy all the properties of the Hans family, and marry you, the woman he also loves. “Yes,” Rebecca said. “By the way, I always think that he knows much more about Mr. Mysterious than I thought. But only when I pressed him would he reluctantly tell me some information about Mr. Mysterious. So, all in all, I’ve fallen into the trap he set for me! It’s so annoying!”
“Rebecca, to be honest, I envy you very much,” Estelle said in a soft voice.
“For real?” Rebecca instantly raised her tone and said, “Why do you envy me? Justin is a cunning fox. He’s gone too far. You don’t know how wily he is.”
Hearing Rebecca complain about what Justin had done, Estelle couldn’t help smiling.
According to Rebecca, Justin promised that he would tell her the information about Mr. Mysterious on the condition that she worked as his personal assistant.
And for the sake of Estelle, Rebecca agreed to his demand.
Since then, she had to stay with Justin every day. During working hours, she had to work for him. And after work, she had to go home with him, have dinner with him and sleep with him at night.
“I shouldn’t have believed him! Humph!” Rebecca snorted and said. “Estelle, what else do you want to know about Mr. Mysterious? Just tell me. I’ll try my best to get the information as soon as possible. When I get the information, the first thing that I’ll do is escape from the clutch of Justin. I’ll never let myself be at the mercy of him!”
Hearing this, Estelle thought helplessly, ‘Alas. While Justin is immersed in the happiness of getting back together with Rebecca, what Rebecca thinks about is actually regaining her freedom as soon as possible.’
Anyway, it’s good that they are together again. They are the right people for each other and deserve a happy ending.
‘Unlike them, Cristofer and I are not right for each other, so our marriage is doomed to end with divorce. Maybe, I shouldn’t have started a relationship with him ten years ago.’
Thinking about this, Estelle suddenly understood something.
‘Justin must have known that Rebecca came back to him just to inquire an information about Mr. Mysterious.’
‘And the words that he said to Rebecca were actually what he wanted to tell me. He wanted to tell me that I should live in the moment and be happy and that I had better not probe into Mr. Mysterious’ identity.’
“Miss Hudson, dinner is ready!” Mrs. Moorsum, who had finished cooking, called Estelle as she served the dishes.
Though at a young age, Yohan was very considerate, and he offered to help her. But Mrs. Moorsum declined him politely for fear that the hot dishes scalded him.
Yohan then bounced to Estelle and asked, “Mom, will Dad still come back very late today?”
“Yes.”
“I really hope I can have a meal together with Dad.”
Holding his little hand, Estelle walked to the dining room and comforted him, “You will have a chance in the future.”
It was not dark yet when they finished their dinner.
Sitting on the sofa, both Yohan and Estelle were waiting for Mr. Mysterious to come back.
Seeing them like this, Mrs. Moorsum said, “Miss Hudson, you may take Yohan downstairs for a walk to kill time. Mr. Mysterious will come back when it’s dark outside.”
‘Mrs. Moorsum could see I’m thinking about Mr. Mysterious?’ Estelle thought.
“I... I’m not waiting for him,” she said, blushing.
Mrs. Moorsum then chuckled and said, “Miss Hudson, don’t be so shy. You are in such a good relationship with Mr. Mysterious. It’s normal for you to think about him. Mr. Mysterious must be thinking about you too. Maybe, he is on his way back now.”
Speaking of this, Estelle suddenly felt a little worried, so she took out her phone and sent a message to Mr. Mysterious.
‘Drive safely.’
‘Is the chicken soup delicious?’ Mr. Mysterious replied to her quickly.
‘How do you know that we had chicken soup for dinner? Did you ask Mrs. Moorsum to cook it?’
‘The soup cooked by her tastes a little different from that cooked by the previous Mrs. Moorsum. Do you like it?’
‘Yes. I like it very much. It was delicious.’
‘That’s good.’
‘Sir, it’s getting dark early every day.’
‘Yes. What’s wrong?’
‘It means I can see you earlier every day.’
This time, Mr. Mysterious didn’t reply to her immediately.
It was the first time Estelle had said such honeyed words to Mr. Mysterious. She was flushed with shyness and couldn’t help wondering what Mr. Mysterious would reply to her.

Then her phone rang.
Seeing that it was Mr. Mysterious calling, Estelle answered the phone immediately.

“Hi, Estelle.” Mr. Mysterious’ husky voice came from the other end of the line.
“Sir, why didn’t you reply to my message? You... don’t like me saying those kinds of words?”
