"Pre... pregnant?!"Colin hit by this shocking news. He had just been woke up for nearly four hours, the news totally destroyed his calm
.
The nurse said with regret:"One of the twins has stopped the fetal heart, but it does not affect the development of the other. She just needs to have a rest these days. Do not be so worried."
"..."
The nurse had something to do, and gave Colin some advice, then leaving Colin looking at the list with a distressful face.
He couldn't understand the list, just knowing that Harriet was pregnant with twins, and a fetal heart stopped.
It was not until three o'clock in the afternoon that Harriet woke up.
"Harriet, are you ok?"Colin was sitting by the side. When Harriet woke up, he hurried to help her up, poured a cup of warm water and passed it to her,"Do you feel any discomfort?"
Harriet shook her head and drank the water. She felt much more comfortable."It was probably I had not enough rest in the past few days. I am sorry that you have to look after me as you just wake up short time ago."
"Harriet, it's not true."Colin is also not good at concealing, and gave the list to Harriet."The doctor said that you are pregnant with twins."
Harriet was choked and seemed to be frightened with a frozen smile,"Colin, are you kidding me?"
"I am not joking!"
Harriet was convinced that he was not lying seeing his serious face, and took the list to check it.
Her face got paler when she caught the last few lines of words.
She had done a good job to prevent herself from pregnancy whether she and Wesley made love at home or outside for the two years. She feared that he would be unhappy for her pregnancy. She did not want a baby neither.
How could she be pregnant? She even did not sense it!
"Harriet, don't be sad."Colin thought that she was upset about the dead fetal heart, holding her hand to comfort her,"The nurse said that the dead fetal heart did not affect the development of the other fetal heart. As long as you take a good rest during these days, your baby will be fine."
"Colin, I..."Harriet had no rosy lips since she knew about the pregnancy, trembling and trying to tell him the truth, but when she saw Colin's concerned eyes, she dared not to do it.
In her relationship with Wesley, he was the buyer and she was with him for the money.
If Colin knew she was doing such business, he would be furious.
And she was pregnant now!
Colin didn't know that Harriet was hiding so many secrets. He thought Harriet was sad to lose a child, and he kept comforting her, asking her"Where is brother-in-law, should I call him over?"
He thought that the brother-in-law should have known about his wife pregnancy.
"He, he is on a business trip abroad, being very busy."Harriet squeezed a smile, and said lightly,"It is not a big deal and we shall not need to bother him about the pregnancy."
"What's not a big deal?"Colin frowned and was upset,"If he had taken good care of you, you would not lose a child. If I met him, I would definitely teach him a lesson!"
Harriet ripped her lips.
She was afraid that Colin would ask her more about her relationship with Wesley if he got pissed off. She just raised up other topics to try to get rid of such possibility. Thanked god that Colin did not had a sharp mind currently and did no find out her plan.
After pushing Colin to back to his ward, Harriet went to the obstetrics and gynecology department again.
She remembered very well that every time she used a condom, confusing why she would be pregnant.
The female doctor said,"Condoms can nor guarantee 100%contraception. Please take care of the baby right now. You also said you had that irregular menstruation and the typical symptoms of palace cold, which could make you hard to get pregnant. If you don't want the baby, you won't have a chance next time."
The doctor's words echoed in her mind and made her dizzy.
If she had a normal boyfriend, she would have the baby born, but she and Wesley were not a couple. She wouldn't dare to keep the baby even though he would like to have it.
But she was not quite healthy. If she had an abortion this time, she might lose the chance to get pregnant again when she was married.
