Nandini's POV:

I was getting ready and my friends were with me..

"Nandini.. Keep ur face straight.. U are always frowning.." Navya said as she was doing my make-up..

"For a straight face she has to relax.." Shina said eating a piece of cucumber..

"How to relax!! I am feeling like something going to happen that I won't like.." I said huffing a little..

"Nowadays nothing u like that's happening with u.. So relax." Mukti said and I narrowed my eyes..

"Haha.. Savage Mukti.." Aliya said and I rolled my eyes.. They all are ready except me.. It was my excuse for being late..

"Done.. Now go and put on the fancy dress u choose..." Navya said pushing me to my walk-in closet..

I put on the dress carefully and fix my hair.. I looked myself on the full length mirror.. I was wearing a sea green sleeveless mermaid dress.. The shimmering of silver and sea green was on the front of the dress giving the dress a real mermaid feel.

I came out and reached towards my purse..

"Oh my u are looking like a mermaid.." Shina said..

"But beautiful.. U made a good choice of keeping ur hair open.." Aliya said..

"Enough we are getting late.. Remember.." I said and we all walked out of the house after locking it..

"Freaking finally!!" Someone cried out and we immediately turned and saw All five of them standing beside their cars..

"We are waiting here for ages and still no one came out.. What were u doing? Creating make up woman or something.." Cabir asked..

"Why u all are here we didn't call for any lift.." Asked Mukti

"Yeah.. We have our cars.." Aliya said..

"So what we are going to same place.." Abhi said..

"And we thought we should go together.." Arya said...

"They meant kharcha bhi bach jayega.." Dhruv shrugged..

"Excuses.." I said and rolled my eyes..

"Yeah.. Not more than u.. I thought u are going to ditch us again so we thought to wait.." Manik said..

"Nandini.. U are looking like a real mermaid but How do u know Manik loves everything related to mermaid?" Cabir said innocently..

"WHAT?!" My eyes widened..

"God!! She wore that bcz she wanted to look absolute childish. So that she can ruin whatever u were planning.." Shina laughed..

"But mermaid!! Seriously Manik?!" Navya said still can't digest it..

"Come on.. I was a child and my mom used to show my cousins Disney princess and I was forced too and I liked mermaid.. But that was only in childhood ok.." Manik said frustratedly...

"Ok.. Let's go.. We are too late.." Abhi said and sighed..

Manik gestured me to get in the car so I did.. The car ride was silent.. And I was nervous..

"What's going to happen? I know, u know about it.." I said and looked at him..

"I can't tell u now but do u want to change ur dress bcz I don't think it's gonna match.." He said looking at my dress..

"Match to what? And please eyes on the road.." I pleaded.. God who even gave him a driving license..

"Never Mind.. Forget it.. We are here.." He said and stopped the car..

We all were here and it's time to make our entry.. We entered in the house and saw typically official decoration. It wasn't much.. Everything was neat and clean.. They changed the sofa covers, curtains, show pieces...

Every vases that used to be empty now full of dark color flowers.. Everything is so formal..

"Uh ooh, I am out of here.." I became more nervous and turned to leave.. But Manik hold my hand and pulled me gently towards him.

"Running away again? U can't run away this time or ever.." Manik said sternly, looking right into my eyes.

"Oh u all came! I thought no one is going to show up.. Come in, come in.." My mother said with her fishy excitement..

"We had to come.. We can't miss this for the world.." Cabir said and Manik smirked..

"Oh My God! Nandini u are looking just like a mermaid.. Manik, u remember when u were younger once u said u are going to marry a marmeid? Finally ur wish is going to fulfill.." Nyonika said and I was like 'what the hell'.

"Mom! Don't start that.. I don't remember such thing so don't embarrass me anymore.." Manik said looking here and there..

"Ah. Kids are here.." Manik's Father came out with my father from the study room.

"First we should have some wine then we will start.." My father said and Manik nodded..

Servants offered us different kinds of wine.. Dad was happy. Well he would always be happy if he could have his way..

"To their future.." Everyone cheered..

"Well let's finish it off.. We shouldn't delay." Dad said and Manik got up from the sofa. He extended his hand for me to take.. I gave him my hand with my fakest smile.. Ah! There is no such words called fakest.

"What's going on?" I whispered..

"You will see soon.." Manik said with a creepy smile...

Manik's dad cleared his throat "Today we are here for Manik and Nandini's engagement.. After this they will be truly fiancée.."

"And they will announce it officially in the upcoming event in which they are working together." Dad added..

But I was shocked.. Then I understood why others were so happy.. This brat don't want me to say that he isn't my fiancé.. I tuned angrily towards Manik and he gave a sweet smile.. I continued to glare and pressed his hand tightly..

"Now come fast and exchange ur rings.." Manik's mom said..

My mom gave me Manik's ring.. It was a platinum band with little diamonds.. I made him wear that..

Now it's his turn he took the ring in his hand and slide through my finger.. It was a big ring! It had 8 medium size white diamonds and in the middle there was a big ruby!

"What is this?! Why it's so big and it freaking cost too much.." I whisper yelled at him..

"Well u are my would be wife.. U have to represent Malhotra diamonds all the time and this ring exactly match our status.." He said arrogantly..

"And it's big enough for men to notice and not to disturb u anymore.." He added and I rolled my eyes..

Our parents congratulated us then it's time for our friends..

His friends were really happy on the other hand my friends could not decide how to feel.. Happy, laugh or sad..

"Now u are finally my fiancé.." Manik said..

"Don't be so happy.." I said making a straight face..

"U can't cancel anything sweetheart.." He smirked..

"I can.. U didn't say anything before otherwise I would tell u that only..."

"What?" Manik asked looking confused.. Get ready for the upcoming bomb malhotra.. Tit for tat

"It's upto u.. If u want to continue or ditch these marriage after knowing my secret.."

"What do u mean?" Manik said scowling at me..

"I am pregnant."
