Chapter 24
"Clara," he uttered.
I swallowed my saliva before facing him bravely. Even though I didn't know if he was mad at me or not. We stared at each other for a while before he spoke seriously in front of us.
"Can I talk to you?" he asked seriously.
"S.. sure, why not," I stammered.
I saw his serious look at Troy and I couldn't help but smile because he was obviously jealous. He offered his hand but I didn't accept it. I knew I embarrassed him in front of Troy and I heard his sigh.
"So what? What are we going to talk about?" I asked sarcastically.
"Clara, I know you hate me but we need to fix this. I don't want us to end up like this," he answered calmly.
"Who's angry? Isn't you?" I asked firmly.
"Crema, please calm down. I wanted to have a good conversation with you," he answered gently.
"I also had a good conversation with you, Alpha. So it's better that let's forget about it because it has already happened and can't be undone," I said seriously.
"I'm really sorry if I hurt you with what I said to you. I just want you to know that I'm still waiting for you to accept me as your mate" he replied seriously.
"I thought you were going to give up on me," I asked with a smil
"I told you I will wait for you no matter what happens," he answered seriously.
I suddenly felt a thrill from what he said. But I stopped it and ignored it. It's more important to me that he himself will chase me, not me.
"Clara, I want to make it up with you," he said with a smile while holding my hand.
We were both very surprised when we heard the loud growl of wolves outside the castle. We immediately ran out of the castle and saw vampires attacking the wolf guards. We both grew up and Alpha did not hesitate to rush to fight the vampires to defend the castle. The anger of the vampires who rushed to the Woundwoods was obvious but they also couldn't beat him because Alpha was clearly stronger.
"Are you okay?" he asked me worriedly.
"Yes, I'm fine, Alpha" I answered.
A vampire emotionally faced us and stabbed Alpha Henrick. He was obviously surprised by what the vampire said to him. He was very angry at what the vampire said to him. I could feel the pain that the vampire guy was feeling at that time.
"You are no different from Sauro!" the vampire hissed.
"Don't ever compare me to him!" he said angrily.
His eyes were burning as he looked at the vampire. But he let the vampire go despite his burning anger. I don't know why I feel so guilty about what happened. Alpha Henrick looked at me and asked if I was okay.
"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.
"Yes, I'm fine," I answered.
Many of the guards were wounded, but fortunately no one was killed. My heart sank when I saw the heads of the vampires in front of me.Suddenly, I thought of the merciless Alpha's murder of my parents.
"He really killed mercilessly! He can't escape the sin he committed against my family!" my mind said firmly.
At night he called all the wolves throughout the Wound Woods to gather because he wanted to tell everyone something important. Their training would be more intense and there would be more guards to guard the castle.
"We need to strengthen the Bloody scar pack even more.We will not allow the enemies to destroy us. We need to protect, especially the fang of the ancient wolf. The enemies cannot take it from us," he said seriously.
After his speech in front of his pack, he came to me. He held my hand and I looked into his eyes. I suddenly remembered the nightmare from my past so I immediately looked away from him before I was taken away of my emotions.
A few moments later he went to the wounded wolves in the treatment room. I can see their bloody arms because of the vampire's bite. I just held my breath but why do I feel more sorry for the vampires who have no desire but justice. Suddenly Sauro just crossed my mind and I was curious about him.
"Why is everyone afraid of Sauro? Why is that vampire comparing you to him?" I asked curiously.
"He is the Alpha of the Bloody moon pack. But let's not talk about him anymore, Clara," he answered.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because I don't want to be compared to him or anyone else. I hope you understand that, Clara," I answered.
"Alright, I won't force you anymore," I told him.
There's a question inside my mind. But when we were going out, we passed the sacred mirror where the fang was placed inside. How strong is the power of that fang? Why did the enemies or anyone try to steal it?
"Where will they take it?" I asked him.
"In a safer place, Clara" he answered seriously.
I followed him until I entered a room. I heard him breathing deeply and then he spoke.
"The ancient fang cannot be taken from the enemy. It is also one of my Father's memories when he was still alive and leading our pack as an Alpha," he said seriously.
"I will protect it to the best of my ability even if I die," he added.
"What if that fang is gone? What will he do? "Will he die?! I asked myself.
"Are you okay, Clara?" he asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," I answered.
I don't know why I am tempted to steal that fang. I guess I want to see what he will do when that fang is gone from him. I know and I can clearly see how important the fang is to him.
Until one day I was tempted to enter the room where the fang was. I didn't know if I was doing the right thing. But I was desperate to give the Alpha big problems so that I could see him struggling and suffering. What if he was the one lost?
I slowly entered and looked around. When I entered I saw the fang floating inside the glass. I smiled and wanted to touch it. But I stopped when I suddenly heard footsteps approaching the door of the room.
