Episode 29

★DIANA★

I was still keeping an eye out for them while on my way to the lakeside.

"I love you so much, and I won't leave you for anyone else," a voice sang out from ahead.

It sounded just like Lucia's voice, but I couldn't figure out who she was making that promise to.

"I promise that nothing will happen to you. I'll always be here for you," she continued.

Or did it mean that Alpha Jackie had come to see her? He actually came to see her!

"Gosh..." I thought, as I rushed forward to interrupt them and try to convince him to be interested in me instead.

But when I got closer and saw Lucia, I noticed that the stranger they had brought in was sitting next to her.

Although I was still a little far away, so I doubt they noticed my presence.

"Has Lucia lost it? Is she really developing strong feelings for this stranger?" I muttered to myself as I hid in the corner.

I listened to their conversation for a while and realized that I didn't need to stress myself anymore.

Apologizing to her would be a waste of time. I already knew how to get rid of her. But before that, I needed to meet up with Silva.

I began searching for Silva throughout the pack, but there was no sign of him or any of the higher-ranking members such as Justin and the others. In my search, I hurried to the Omega's cottage to find UK, but instead, I encountered Ariana.

"My princess, may I ask what you're searching for?" she inquired, surprised to see me in the kitchen, as I rarely visit and never cook.

"I'm looking for UK. Do you know where she is?" I asked.

"I believe she is occupied with work outside the house," Ariana responded.

"And what about you? Why are you inside the house while she's out working?" I questioned, causing her to lower her head in shame.

"I apologize," she murmured softly, beginning to leave, but I stopped her with a stern voice.

"Where on earth do you think you're going? Are you only just realizing what you need to do?" I shouted at her, causing her to pause and tremble with fear.

"Have you seen Silva? Where is he?" I asked, but she shook her head in response.

"No, I haven't seen him, but I believe UK might know," she replied, and I scowled at her.

"Take me to her," I demanded, and she led me to UK.

After receiving information from UK, I discovered that Silva and his friend had gone to a location that would likely take them a day or two to return home.

That guy is probably playing games with me. The full moon is in the next three days, and he's going to a place that will take him longer to return.

I'm nearly certain that mission is because of that ridiculous Lucia's mother.

I won't worry at the moment as all I have to do is sit back and watch. However, if I ever lose Jackie, I will ensure that Silva experiences a living hell in this place.

2 DAYS LATER.

Today marks the second day since Silva departed and he has yet to return. I can't help but wonder if he's avoiding me, but I don't see it as a problem.

I hope he finds happiness wherever he is and never returns to our pack or else. However, I have come to accept that I have already lost Jackie to Lucia.

With the full moon approaching tomorrow, time is running out.

I was sitting alone outside the building lost in thought when UK approached me.

Upon seeing her, I glared at her and shouted, "I didn't call for you, so what the hell are you doing here!"

"I'm sorry," she responded, trying to hurry away from me. "I thought you were looking for Silva. I just came to let you know that he's back with the others. I apologize for bothering you."

"Wait a minute!" I interrupted her, causing her to stop from walking away.

"When did he come back?" I asked.

"Just a few minutes ago," she replied.

I scolded her, "Do you see how foolish you are? He came back a few minutes ago, and you're reporting it to me just now. Go call him for me!"

She quickly ran away from me, presumably to deliver my message.

Silva arrived within a few minutes, but as he approached me, I ended up slapping him, leaving UK staring at me in shock.

"What are you still doing here? Leave this place right now!" I yelled at UK as she hurried away.

"Silva, are you crazy? Are you out of your mind?" I continued to shout at him.

"Silva, tomorrow is the full moon!" I yelled, and he nodded. "Yes, I know," he replied.

Silva's response annoyed me the most. He knew about the full moon, yet he didn't do anything.

"You knew!? Silva, you knew!? So, what did you do about it?" I yelled at him.

"My plan is working, and I want to make it worse by ending Logan's life," Silva replied, and I yelled at him.

"Shut the fuck up! That's how you keep making fake promises. You've been doing it until this day, and that's how you're going to keep making fake promises until it happens!"

"You're being obtuse! Listen to me and understand what needs to be done. Just go to my father and tell him that Lucia has fallen in love with Logan. That's all," I told him firmly, although he only smirked in response.

"But then your father will punish Logan, chase him out of the pack, forgive Lucia, and still arrange for her to mate with Jackie," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "Have you considered that?" he asked.

As I thought about it, I realized that he was right, and that I was still going to lose.

"Alright, tell me then - what's your plan? And please don't tell me that you're not going to share it with me!" I said calmly.

"Excellent! My plan is for Alpha Jesse and Jackie to catch them together having sex tomorrow, at precisely the time when she's expected to make an appearance at the celebration," Silva announced, and I was truly impressed by the plan.

My question was simple: how was he going to make it work?

"So, can you tell me how you're planning to do that?" I asked curiously.

"Never mind. Just sit back and watch me work my magic. Tomorrow is your day and nobody else's," he said confidently, a grin spreading across his face.

I was genuinely impressed by his response. I hadn't expected him to have such a solid plan, so I apologized for my earlier behavior.

"I'm sorry for the way I reacted at first. I was just angry," I said, stepping closer to him.

"Yeah, you said you're sorry and I accept that. But tell me, did you only say it because you were angry?" he asked, smirking and shaking his head.

"All I can say is that it's just you, and nothing else. But it's okay, I should be on my way now," he said, then left my presence.

Although his words were a little annoying, I decided to put them aside because he had really impressed me today.

★ LUCIA ★

I'm sitting with Logan under a tree where we've been chatting for a while. We've often come to this spot to enjoy each other's company and share romantic moments over the past two days. Today, however, Logan has brought up a very interesting topic that we need to discuss.

"Lucia, you know tomorrow is the night that all werewolves are eagerly waiting for," he says.

"Especially a day made for you," he said, but before he could continue, I interrupted him.

"Please don't call it a day made for me. It wasn't made for me, as I mentioned earlier, I'll always be here for you," I said, taking his hand and giving it a gentle kiss.

"Why do you get annoyed whenever I talk about this?" Logan inquired.

"It's because I simply don't want to talk about it," I responded immediately.

"Please tell me," he said, taking a deep breath.

"If we don't talk about it, how are you going to avoid it? Are you planning to fight?" he asked, and I smiled.

I was sure his mind was not there when I said that I had a way for us to separate from the pack that night.

"Didn't I mention that I already have a plan for us?" I asked, and he stared at me for a moment.

"Can you tell me what your plan is?" he asked, and I smirked, nodding my head.

"Tomorrow is meant for both of us. My plan is that we run to the woods during the full moon celebration," I said.

"My father will search for me but won't find me. You know that if Jackie doesn't mark me during this full moon, it probably won't happen until the next full moon," I explained, noticing his discomfort.

"What?" I asked.

"That's a terrible idea. Don't you think we could both get hurt?" Logan asked, looking very concerned.

"As for you, I won't tell anyone that I was with you. As for me, my dad loves me so much. I can apologize and promise not to do it again. I can even lie and say that I was being chased by vampires," I replied as he remained silent, pondering over it.

"That sounds like a good idea, but I have this strange feeling that it might not work," Logan said as I gently placed his head on my lap.

"Don't worry, I'm here for you," I whispered romantically into his ear.
