Chapter 70 Meeting Zariel

Chapter 70 Meeting Zariel
Last night

Hazel was already fast asleep when she suddenly began hearing the voice in her head again. The same voice that made her chest hurt so much earlier.

Her eyes opened and she sat up so quickly like she was forced out from her sleep. But she still looked unconscious.

“Come, come to me”.

The voice said and Hazel got down from the bed and quietly opened the drawer next to her.

“Yes, take the key and free me”.

Hazel picked up the key and began to walk out of the room, barefooted.

It was already midnight so no one saw her.

She kept walking until she finally got there… the spot where his parents were killed, the spot where it all started.

Hazel had no emotion on her face before she got there, but the moment her legs touched the floor where Kael's parents had died, she suddenly jolted as though she had finally woken up.

She looked around, shocked as she didn't know how exactly she had gotten here.

“What the hell”?

She said but suddenly, she heard a voice behind her.

“Ugh, has anyone ever told you that you're smart and slow at the same time”?

She heard the voice of a man and turned but she was met with nothingness.

She couldn't see anyone or anything behind her.

“Who are you”?

She asked but the man ignored her question.

“Look, I made it easy for you to find me. At least this way, you know where it all begins and where it will all end”.

He said and she looked around as it slowly began to dawn on her. This was indeed where the first blood was spilled, the place where the first bond was broken.

She was breathing heavily, trying to picture what would bring them back here to finish the war.

“Who are you”?

She asked again and suddenly, she saw a bright light shine from a box from a distance.

Curiously, she walked towards it and noticed it was still closed.

“How did it shine if it was closed”?

She thought and moved closer to a spot where there was a little bit of light.

“Huh”?

She looked carefully at the box as she saw the same writing she had seen on the key.

“Vulnerio”?

She said again and she heard the voice yelling out the meaning.

“Let the gates be opened”!!!!

Startled, she looked around but she didn't drop the box. She looked at her hand and noticed she had carried the key.

Her curiosity got the best of her and she placed the key on the box.

“It is you! You!!! Finally”!!!

The voice said and suddenly, the box opened and Hazel felt something forcefully go inside her.

“Pardon me my lady, I'll have to stay here for a while”.

She said as her eyes glowed gold and a smile appeared on her face.

“Well, how about we go back before your darling husband gets worried and cause a scene”?

Hazel said and giggled, jumping a bit before walking out, going with the box and key in her hand.

Back to the present

“I never gave you the permission to enter my body”!

Hazel yelled through the mirror, causing her physical body to move back, startled.

“Oh come on, I can clearly remember asking you to pardon me for a while.
You see… I need a body to stay in but one body can not have two souls for too long. So you need to get me my body before you vanish”.

Hazel looked confused from the mirror.

“Why would I be the one to vanish when this isn't your real body”.

She asked and her physical self smiled.

“Look around you Hazel, I'm the one in control and I'm not ready to be locked up again".

Hazel went silent, she knew she had to be careful.

“What is your name”?

She looked at herself in the mirror for a while before speaking.

“Zariel, the one sent to help you”.

She said and Hazel nodded.

“Alright Zariel, if you're truly here to help, how about you prove it and show us where exactly to search for your body”?

Zariel went silent for a while and Hazel kept looking, eager for an answer.

“I'm not sure where it is, all I know is it is in the ocean”.

Hazel was using all of her restraint not to crash out.

“The ocean”?

She asked in disbelief and Zariel nodded.

“Do you even know how large the ocean is”?

She asked, making her realize just how insanely impossible it is to find a body in the ocean.

“You're a siren, you can find it faster than anyone can”.

She said but Hazel rolled her eyes.

“You seem to be slow too. I obviously don't even have power over my body”.

She said and Zariel smiled.

“Just because you don't have control doesn't mean your powers are gone my darling.
I can manipulate your powers to my will just fine”.

Hazel stayed speechless in shock as she kept looking at her face.
It was crazy to her how annoying her face could actually be.

Yes, she has seen Rave with her face several times but it never felt like this.

That one felt more shocking than annoying but this!
Maybe because the soul was inside her real body but waa! It was very annoying.

“Are you joking”?

She finally asked but Zariel shook her head.

“Of course not, I don't want to be stuck in your body just as much as you don't want me here”.

She said and Hazel sighed.

If she meant that, then it was probably good news to know the being wasn't after her body.

“What was that key about"?

She finally asked. If the being was going to take her body, the least it could do was give her some valuable information.

Zariel went silent.

“Why are you suddenly quiet? Speak up”!

Hazel said and Zariel sighed.

“I'm just surprised you haven't figured that out yet”.

She said and moved closer to the mirror.

“How slow are you again”?
