Chapter 49 Beautiful

Chapter 49 Beautiful
Kael looked so surprised. It took him a few seconds to process what she had said because he was not expecting it at all.

“What are you talking about"?

He asked and she sighed, seeing he had already trusted her way too much. Of course, the betrayal would hit harder.

“When did you…”

He paused, unable to speak.

“Dona told me she suspected it, but I only found out yesterday”.

She said and he nodded as he stood up and went to stand by the rail.

He sucked in a large amount of air and turned to her to ask.

“How did you find out”?

He asked and she stood up, walking towards him.

“I touched the seal yesterday and met the source”.

She said and he looked at her in surprise.

“Why didn't you tell me all this”?

He asked
“Well, I wanted to tell you, but you insisted I needed to rest”.

She said and he immediately recalled what happened yesterday.

“What did she say? Is there a way to stop her”?

He asked but Hazel shook her head.

“She was pretty useless, she kept saying she couldn't help me and didn't want to spoon-feed me with information. Yet, when I figured out who Rave truly was, she immediately took credit for it”.

She said.
Hazel couldn't deny she felt a link to Lunaria. She knew the woman wasn't lying, but she didn't feel comfortable about her either. She couldn't help but feel like there was something off about the woman, something she couldn't figure out just yet.

“You think we shouldn't rely on her”?

He asked and she looked at him and nodded.

“Mnn, I don't think she is reliable at all. Plus, if anyone told Rave the things she knows, how could we possibly know it wasn't her”?

She said and Kael nodded.

“We'll have to unravel this ourselves”.

He said, trying so hard to prevent himself from getting angry. He didn't want to act out of character if not, he would find Cathy and kill her with his bare hands.

He couldn't help but remember how much she tried to comfort him after his parents died and Hazel left. He couldn't help but remember how he constantly gave her details of everything and put her in charge of most of their top secrets.

There was absolutely nothing that prepared him for the things he heard today. There was nothing that could have ever prepared him for such betrayal and now, the only question in his head was… why?

No matter how much he tried to make sense out of it, he just couldn't seem to give her a reason.

After a while, Kael quietly walked out of the room and went back to his study. He couldn't bring himself to do anything but think.

He was pissed, visibly pissed, and he was pissed that he couldn't even act out the anger.

He was lying on the couch in his study with his hand over his eyes when he heard a soft knock and the door open shortly after.

He gently opened his eyes, knowing fully well who it was and seeing the smile on her face just made him calm down a little bit.

He sat up but soon raised a brow when he noticed she was in her training wear.

“Wanna blow off some stem with me”?

She asked and he looked at her for a while before he nodded.

They soon got to the training room.

It was already evening so there were only a few men in the training room.

“Don't hold back”.

She said and he smiled lightly.

“Are you sure about that”?

He asked and she nodded.

“We need to keep fighting until we get at least one answer. We need to keep fighting until we have a clue on what to do next or what we've missed”.

She said and he nodded.

Soon, they began fighting. The fight was intense, there was nothing romantic about their fight as they both went all in.

They were breathing so hard and Kael noticed Hazel was bleeding from her lips.

“Hazel your…”

“Stop”!

She immediately stopped him.

“Get used to the program Kael. I'm going to get hurt, I'm going to get injured. We need to find out Rave's primary purpose”.

She said and he nodded while they kept going in circles with their hands raised in a fist, ready to fight.

“She definitely has a reason, she can't be doing this just because she feels like it”.

He said and she attacked him again, jumping behind him and strangling him.

“Whatever it is, it runs deep”.

She said and he held one of her hands and flung her over his shoulder, landing her hard on the ground.

“What do you mean”?

He asked as she groaned in pain on the floor.

“Apparently, she's been planing this since she was eight”.

She said as she stood back up.

“What”?

He said as they went in for punches.

“I don't think your parents were initially part of the plan, I think they were just available, or probably a distraction”.

She said but he paused.

“Or they probably knew something she didn't want them to know”.

Hazel also paused, breathing heavily.

“You're right, they probably knew she had a plan that had you in it and they were against it”.

She said, remembering what she had seen in her vision.

“If she killed them for a reason, then she framed me to get closer to you”.

Those words icked Kael to his bones. He still couldn't believe he had let her get so close, even helping him find who killed his parents without knowing it was none other than her.

He looked at her and asked.

“Wanna run”?

He asked and she looked at the training room that was now a lot more full that it was when they started.

Apparently more people wanted to see their alpha and Luna train together.

She then looked back at Kael and nodded.

“Are you ready to meet Dove”?

She asked and he nodded. Before he knew it, she shifted and the men in the training room moved back in fear but Kael had nothing but admiration in his eyes.

“Beautiful”.
