Jack's POV:
"Sir, everything is prepared as you want. Now we only need your order to proceed with the plan," I heard Max's voice from behind.
A faint smirk curved my lips as I turned slightly, my gaze fixed on the dark horizon outside the window.
"Perfect," I murmured, my voice low but sharp enough to make him stand straighter. "It's time to begin."
He gave a quick nod and left, leaving me alone with my thoughts. My fingers drummed lightly against the glass as I watched the city lights flicker in the distance. Everything was finally falling into place exactly how I wanted it.
They are fools if they think I will let them live in peace after hurting my woman. Till now, they were playing their games because I was letting them move freely, letting them think that I'm weak and can't do anything.
I let them play, and they played their game. Now it's my chance to return what they deserve.
"Raymond William, you should not have touched her. Till now, you were after me, and I was letting you go, but now. Now I will show you why this world fears me... Soon, Father...soon, I will show you the monster that you made me."
"Jack," I was still in thought when I heard the voice of my amore.
I turned and saw her, who was coming towards me with a file.
"Jack, I talked to the doctor, and he said she will be fine soon. They just had to keep her in observation; after that, they will tell us her condition properly," she said while looking into that girl's file.
Saying this, she started to show me something in the file, which is not so important to me. In this world, the only person who is important to me is My Amore, and about the others, I don't give a fuck if they live or die. I don't care even for a second of my life.
"Jack, are you even listening to me??" She said and showed her palm in front of my eyes.
This woman... She expects me to focus on anything when she is standing in front of me, looking like a walking fire. Today she is wearing a transparent blue saree with big and heavy earrings. Her hair is open, flowing in the air. She doesn't have any makeup on her face, just a small black dot between her eyebrows and lip gloss. Which I'm going to wipe soon...
"Where are you lost??" She asked me with a worried expression. I nod at her, letting her know I'm only listening to her.
"You know, when I was coming here, I met Rahul...you remember my cousin brother??" She said while looking somewhere.
Rahul, yeah, I remember that bastard...her bua's son.
"What is it about him?" I asked.
"He was saying that yesterday someone sent everyone a big box. They thought it was from corporators, as in Diwali, politicians send gifts to everyone. But..." While talking, she stopped and looked at me.
"But when they opened that...there were some kind of scary fish. When they put their hand inside the box. Those fish almost eat their hands... And some even got hurt on their legs and all over their bodies. When he asked me about it, I told him I didn't go home yesterday, and also we didn't receive any parcel... Who can do such a cruel act? "He must be so heartless," she said with a worried expression.
Hearing her words, a smirk came on my face. Heartless, yeah, Amore, you are right; that person is a heartless monster who can destroy this world for her. Yes, it was me who sent those gifts to her relatives, and trust me, I'm not at all satisfied yet, even after doing this. It will be a shame if I stay silent even after they dared to come into her house and insult her. Being her man, it will be a shame on me if I let them live their life peacefully after what they did to my amore.
They dare to make her cry.
They dare to insult her.
They dare to question her character.
They made her feel things that she doesn't deserve.
That day, I didn't interrupt them because I knew she was capable enough to handle them. If she needs support, then I'm always standing behind her to handle her.
I will never let them live their life peacefully; their whole generation will pay for this, and I will make sure of that.
After all, they dared to mess with Jack Williams.
I didn't answer her and held her hand. I took the file from her hand and took her towards the canteen of this hospital.
"Where are you taking me??" She asked me while walking.
However, I did not respond to her and went into the canteen.
It's been almost one week since we came to India, and if you ask me how I'm feeling, then I'm regretting it. I regret letting her come here. This country, the people of this country don't deserve her. Otherwise, whose parents question their daughter's character just to prove everyone wrong?
I will personally cut their body into pieces and feed them to animals, and I'm not joking about this.
From the moment she came here, she has been just crying. She is not taking care of herself. Not sleeping on time, not eating on time, and taking the world's stress, and I'm sure she lost so much weight because of all the running in the hospital corridor.
This is the last time she is coming here after I take her. After that, I'm not letting her come here ever in her whole life.
"Sit here." I made her sit on the chair and look at the guard who came with a tiffin.
"Jack, I don't have time to eat..." She was saying, "When I put fruit in her mouth."
"If you again skip the dinner for that girl, then don't blame me if I throw that girl outside the hospital," I threatened her.
Hearing me, her eyes filled with anger, but she didn't say anything. Good, she didn't fight on this because she knows I can do this.
"We are going back in a few days," she said, suddenly making her shocked.
"What? But why? I don't want to go now, Jack. You saw Papa's health is not good, and I can't leave them like that," she protested, but I'm not in the mood to listen to her.
I'm done with her so-called parents... They don't even deserve to be called parents.
If someone did something like this to my daughter, then forget about breathing; their family is not even going to get a chance to attend his or her funeral.
I didn't say anything and continued feeding her. After feeding her the whole dinner, I looked at her.
"You don't need to take stress on that; I will appoint some caretakers for them and also leave some of my trustworthy guards for their safety." So there will be no argument on this; we are going back," I said and stood from my chair.
I have to behave like a jerk with her; otherwise, she will not listen to me and will use her manipulative skills. Which always works for me.
"Come, we have to go back. You didn't rest these days properly, so let's go." Saying this, I passed my hand to her.
She looked at me with her furious eyes and stood from her place. Then she did something, which I expected. She, without even looking at my hand, turned and left the canteen.
The hand I passed towards her was hanging in the air. I can feel my guards are looking at me, but I don't care because now I know actions have consequences, especially when they are coming from her....
Without looking at anyone, I took her bag, which she had left on the table, and followed her.
When I came outside, I saw her standing on the road and trying to stop a vehicle.
I silently went toward her and stood behind her without making any sound. After some time, a vehicle came, and she talked to the driver.
But when she was about to sit inside, I finally said.
"I didn't know people give lifts here."
As I said, she turned toward me, and in the process, her hair slapped my face.
"What do you mean by this?" She asked me.
"He is giving you a lift, right?" I asked her, clearly trying to play innocent.
"Why do I need to take a lift when I can pay?" she said with a proud look.
I look at her face, then from top to bottom.
"How??"
"There is something which is called money, but how would you know because you use cards, na?" she said in sarcasm.
"Obviously, but even if you want to pay in cash for that, you should have some cash too, right? How are you going to pay in cash?" I said.
Hearing me, she looks at me and then at her hand.
"My bag??" She whispered and started looking around like it's not a bag but a small stone that is in front of her, but she can't see it.
Looking at her, the vehicle driver said something like, 'Do you want to go or not? Why are you wasting my time?' By saying this, he left from there.
Seeing this, she tried to stop him, but he had already left.
"You...you have my bag, right? "Give me my bag now." Saying this, she started to find the bag behind me, in my shirt, and even in my pocket. But there is no bag because before coming to her, I kept the bag in the car.
"Jack, don't play with me; give me my bag," she said in anger.
Whoa, she looks so hot in anger, deliciously dangerous.
"What if I don't give you your bag?" I provoke her, which I love to do.
"Jack," she clutches her hair in anger and then throws her hand in the air.
"Okay, fine, keep it. I will think some thief stole it." Saying this, she started walking toward the road.
I smirk while looking at her... God, I love to tease her.
I went toward my car and sat inside. After starting my car, I silently followed her.
She is walking really fast. Her walk in anger can make her win so many medals.
When I was just behind her, I pressed on the horn. Again and again and again and again.
She turned and looked at me. Then came in front of the window.
" Why are you following me ??" She asked while crossing her arms.
I'm seriously trying not to look down at her chest, but my eyes, as usual, didn't listen to me, and my eyes slide to her collarbone.
"Hey, mister, my face is here," she said, pointing her finger at her eyes when she saw where my eyes were.
" I can't help it", I said and came out of the car.
She looks at me, then again starts walking, but before that, she rolls her eyes.
Wait, did she just....dam control, jack control, you are standing in the middle of a fucking road, and here you can't punish her.
I was still in my thoughts when I heard of clouds,
which means there will be rain soon. We have to reach home quickly before it gets impossible.
I sat inside the car again and started following her again.
"Amore, it's going to rain soon. Why are you not listening? You will be sick, " I tried to call her, but does she listen to me...
The day when she will listen to me without showing any tantrums would only come in my dreams because, in reality, it's not possible. She loves to test my patience.
Suddenly, a thunder sound came, making her stop in her place. Ohh, do you know the girl who doesn't get scared of Jack Williams is actually scared of thunder...?
"Are you sitting inside or not??" I asked her when she didn't make any move in her walking.
Hearing me, she looks at me like I'm the one who is doing all this.
After looking at me for some minutes, she finally came and sat inside the car. As she sat inside, she purposely closed the door. Something is definitely wrong today.
"Are you angry?" I asked him,r but got silence in return, which means she is angry.
I glanced sideways at her—she was looking straight ahead, arms crossed tightly against her chest, refusing to even blink in my direction. The stubbornness on her face was enough to make me smile, but I knew better than to show it. When she's angry, even silence feels louder than thunder.
"Amor..." I said softly, testing the waters. No reply.
Fine. Silent treatment, it is.
The rain started pouring heavily, drumming against the windshield, blurring the city lights outside. I slowed down, eyes on the road, but my attention never really left her. Her hair was sticking slightly to her cheek, wet strands framing her face, and damn—she looked like sin wrapped in silk.
"Are you planning to stay angry forever?" I asked again. Nothing.
She just shifted in her seat, still staring out the window.
Alright, that's enough.
I parked the car on the side of the road and turned off the engine. She looked at me, confused.
"What are you doing?" she asked, her voice finally breaking the silence.
"Trying to make my woman talk," I said, leaning closer.
"Jack, stop it. We're on the road," she muttered, trying to push me back, but I caught her wrist gently.
"I will, once you tell me why you're angry," I whispered, my tone softer than before.
"Why am I angry?" She scoffed. "You're forcing me to go back when Papa is still not fine! You're deciding everything for me like I don't have a say!"
Her voice trembled at the end, and I could see tears forming in her eyes. Damn it. I hate it when she cries.
"Amor..." I exhaled deeply, brushing my thumb over her knuckles. "You think I don't care about your father? You think I don't want him to recover?"
"Then why are you taking me away, Jack?!" She snapped, pulling her hand back. "He needs me—my family needs me—"
"And what about you?" I cut her off. "Do you even realise what you need?"
She blinked, startled by the tone of my voice.
I took a deep breath, trying to hold back the storm inside me. "You've been running around hospitals, skipping meals, and not sleeping. You're breaking yourself for people who never cared how shattered you get. I can't watch that anymore."
Her lips parted, but no words came out.
"I can protect them," I continued, my voice low but steady. "But I can't protect you from yourself unless you listen to me."
For a long moment, we just stared at each other. Rain poured harder, filling the silence between us with its rhythm.
Finally, she turned her face away, whispering, "You're impossible."
A small smirk tugged at my lips. "That's what you love about me."
She rolled her eyes but didn't argue this time. Small victory.
I leaned back in my seat and started the car again. "Put your seatbelt on," I said quietly.
She obeyed without a word.
After a few minutes of silence, I heard her faint voice, almost drowned by the rain. "You still shouldn't have taken my bag."
I chuckled. "You would've run away if I hadn't."
"Maybe I still will," she muttered, crossing her arms again.
"Oh, Amore..." I smirked, eyes on the road. "You can try, but remember, wherever you go, I'll always find you."
She turned her head to the window, but I caught the tiny curve of a smile forming on her lips.
And that was enough for me.
"The rain is a beautiful thing in the world," she suddenly said while looking at the window, which was covered with raindrops. After saying this, she turned to me and gave me her best smile. Looking at her now, no one can say she was angry just a while ago. She looked at me and opened her mouth to say something, but I cut her off before she could say anything.
" My Answer is no" Just like that, her smile vanished from her lips.
" Jack, you can't be this much cruel to me,e" She said while showing her puppy eyes, which always, like fucking always, work on.e..
" Amore, the last time you ended up in hospital for a week, so my answer is still no,o" I said
Last time she didn't listen to me and went to play in the rain.
Last time she didn't listen to me and went to play in the rain. The next morning, she had a fever so high that even the doctors got worried. She was shivering, her lips pale, and I still remember how helpless I felt sitting beside her hospital bed, holding her cold hand.
"Jack, it was just a fever," she said, breaking my thoughts, her voice calm but teasing, "I'm still alive, see?"
I looked at her, the side of my jaw tightening. Looking at my expression, she gave me a tight smile and then sat straight. Like a child who has just been caught doing something wrong.
I was still looking at her when suddenly a loud voice came. Before I could understand from where this voice was coming, the car suddenly stopped with a jerk.
"What happened?" She asked me when she saw that the car was not starting after trying.
"Wait here." Saying this, I came out of the car.
Because of the rain, it's so difficult to see anything. I can't even keep my eyes open properly.
"I think we are in trouble." While saying this, I came toward her side of the door only to see that the seat was empty. Seeing this, a fear immediately grips my heart. I immediately looked around the car and then called her...
"Amore...where are you?" I shouted, but there was no sign of her. After receiving no response, I, without wasting any time, took my phone and was about to call the security team when some soft giggles fell into my ear.
As those giggles passed through my ear, I immediately looked away from where they were coming.
Here she is.
Standing in the middle of the road with closed eyes and wide-open arms. Completely fine and in front of me. Seeing this, the fear left my heart, only to be replaced with anger.
Her saree was completely soaked in rainwater and stuck to her body like a second skin, showing the perfect shape of her body.
How dare she...
Third-person POV:
Here, Naina was lost in her little world, not knowing what she had done. She was enjoying the raindrops on her skin when suddenly someone held her hand and turned her roughly.
When Naina opened her eyes and looked up, she only met dangerous and red eyes. A shiver ran through her whole body, and a fear took grip on her heart.
"I told you not to do this, Amore," Jack said very slowly but in a dangerous voice.
"Jack, I...I wanted—" Naina was trying to say something when he pressed his finger on her lips.
"Shhhhhh....Amore," he said while looking into her eyes.
Both were standing in the middle of the road. So close to each other, even air can't pass from between them.
Jack's fingers lingered against her lips, silencing her completely. The only sound between them was the rhythm of raindrops crashing onto the road—heavy, relentless, wild—just like the storm brewing inside him.
Her breath hitched as his eyes, dark and burning, locked on hers. Water trailed down his face, dripping from his hair to his jawline, but he didn't even flinch. He looked like the very definition of danger, soaked, furious, and breathtakingly calm.
"Do you enjoy testing my patience, Amore?" His voice was low, almost a growl, but controlled enough to make her heart race faster.
"I just wanted to feel the rain, Jack..." she whispered, her words trembling as her eyes darted away from his.
He caught her chin between his fingers, forcing her to gaze back at him. "You wanted to feel the rain," he repeated slowly, his thumb brushing over her wet skin. "And what if I tell you I wanted to feel safe instead?"
Her lips parted, but no words came out this time. His hand slid down to her wrist, gripping it tightly enough to make her aware of his strength but not enough to hurt her.
"I told you before," he continued, his voice dark, the weight of his emotions pressing between them, "I can fight the whole damn world for you, Naina. But I can't fight you."
Her eyes softened, guilt washing over her expression. "Jack, I didn't mean to..."
"You never mean to," he interrupted, taking a step closer until their chests brushed. "But you always end up doing it. You make me lose control, Amore."
A flash of thunder lit the sky, and for a moment, both their faces glowed under its fierce light, her innocence and his obsession reflecting two different worlds that somehow collided into one.
"I hate it when you scare me like that," he said, his voice breaking slightly as his forehead touched hers. "You have no idea what runs through my mind when I can't find you, when I think I've lost you again."
Her eyes widened at the pain hidden behind his tone. She raised her hand and cupped his cheek softly, her thumb tracing the scar just below his eye.
"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I didn't think..."
"That's the problem, Amore," he breathed out, closing his eyes for a second. "You never think when it comes to yourself."
He opened his eyes again—dark, intense, and full of unspoken emotions. "Next time you want to feel the rain," he said, his voice deep and husky, "I'll be there with you. But you don't step out alone. Ever. Especially when you are looking like this. Only I have the right to see you like this."
Before she could reply, he leaned down and kissed her lips.
Right now, he was not kissing her lips; he was telling her how these few seconds scared him by just thinking about something happening to his amore.
Jack held her by the waist and pulled her closer to himself. Then, with the other hand, he grabbed her neck and deepened the kiss.
He took both her lips in his mouth and sucked them. While kissing her lips, he started to move forward, making her move back slowly.
Naina was still trying to process what was happening. She was still shocked, but her shock took another turn when her back came in contact with something.
When corner of her eyes, she look behind it was big tree. Whose Against Jack pinned her.
Jack was completely lost in her lips...
He was kissing her like he was kissing her for the first time.
Now, Naina was feeling suffocated because of the continuous kissing. But Jack was not in the mood to leave her.
Naina started struggling in his arms, and it was as if he came out of some dream. He left her lips.
Only to replace it with her neck.
"Ahhh..." Naina suddenly moaned when he bit on her neck.
She was waiting for him to suck that area to lessen the pain, but it never came. He was just biting her neck like a beast.
"Jac...ahh...Jack, I..." She was trying to say something, but he was not ready to listen to her.
His lips moved down from her neck to her collarbone.
Because of her deep-neck blouse, it was easy for him. Naina was moaning in pain, and till now, she understood he was punishing her. By not letting her feel pleasure.
Jack, till now, had lost all his control. Just the devil inside him is waking up and taking over his mind. He didn't even realise that in his possessiveness, he was hurting his amore.
His devil was saying, "What if someone saw her like that?" What if someone imagines her in any wrong way...
What if
What if
This was provoking his beast.
Naina was so close to crying because of his rough behaviour. But the next moment, she opened her eyes and looked down where Jack was holding her blouse in his hands. Looking at this, she realised what he was trying to do.
So before he could tear the blouse. Naina held him by the collar and pulled him up. Then the next moment her lips were on his lips.
Jack's hands, which were on her blouse a while ago, were now hanging in the air because of shock.
His Amore is kissing him by herself... That was the first time, too.
This time, Jack was in shock.
Naina slowly but softly started kissing him. She was not kissing him as he did; it was filled with love, trust, and calmness.
Jack's eyes were filled with anger and possessiveness. Now I was filled with peace and shock.
After kissing him till he didn't calm down. Naina finally left his lips and pressed her head against his.
Then she said something...
"I love you, Jack."
Just like this, the devil, the arrogant man of New York, lost his consciousness and fell on her.
