Chapter 91 Just An Hormonal Bitch!

Chapter 91 Just An Hormonal Bitch!
Alezandra's P.O.V

By the time I resumed walking toward the vehicle, my tears had dried but there was no doubt my eyes were red and my skin felt tight from the salty tracks my tears had left behind.

Andrea turned slightly.

"Yes, hello-" The words died instantly on his tongue as furious eyes landed on me.

For a moment, he simply stared, relief flashing across his face so quickly I almost missed it.

Then came irritation, then confusion and finally concern.

Andrea ended the call without another word and shoved the phone into his pocket.

At first he looked like he was about to start lecturing me. I could practically see the words forming.

Where the hell were you?

Do you have any idea how worried I was?

But the moment his gaze settled fully on my face, he stopped. His expression changed. And the anger vanished as if he wasn't barking into the phone just seconds ago.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he took in my red-rimmed eyes and the lingering traces of tears.

"Alex..." The way he said my name was quiet, careful even.

He closed the distance between us in only a few strides.

"What happened?"

I swallowed hard. Suddenly, after trying so hard not to cry, I could feel the sting returning behind my eyes.

Once we got into the backseat beside Liam and the vehicle pulled away from the hotel, I started explaining what had happened.

Or at least, I tried to...

Between the hiccups that kept interrupting me and the occasional snot bubble forming every time I got worked up again, my explanation was a complete disaster.

"I-I got off the elevator and there were all these people and they were staring and then I pressed the button and it wouldn't close and–hic-"

Andrea stopped me.

"Baby."

I sniffled.

"Take a breath and start over."

A fresh wave of embarrassment hit me.

I wiped at my nose before trying again.

"I–got–off–on–the–wrong–floor–and–there was–this–huge–conference–room–and everybody–was–dressed–all fancy and they kept looking–at me and whispering–and then the elevator wouldn't close and—"

Another hiccup.

Andrea stopped me a second time.

"Tesoro."

I groaned.

"What?!"

"Slowly."

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I'm trying."

Beside me, Liam let out a dramatic sigh. I could tell he was already over whatever this was.

Maybe it was the crying, maybe it was the hiccups.. or maybe it was the snot bubbles.

Honestly, I couldn't blame him.

After I finally managed to get through the entire story, silence settled over the car.

I turned to Andrea whose lips were twitching, the corner of his mouth kept lifting- and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to wipe that stupid smirk off his face.

I stared at him.

"Are you..."

His shoulders moved suspiciously.

"...laughing at me?" The moment my lower lip quivered, his expression softened, but it was too late.

I'd seen it.

Andrea let out a short chuckle before quickly disguising it as a cough.

"No, baby." Another cough.

"Telo prometto."

My eyes narrowed further.

"You are."

"I'm not."

"You are."

"I'm not." His voice remained perfectly calm.

His grin, however, betrayed him completely.

I crossed my arms.

"I was traumatized." That finally did it.

Andrea barked out a laugh before immediately pressing his lips together.

Liam threw his hands in the air.

"Oh my God.".The dramatic exasperation in his voice only made Andrea laugh harder... which, naturally, made me even more offended.

I huffed and turned towards the window.

"Nobody in this car respects me."

Andrea slipped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me against his side.

"I respect you."

I glared up at him.

"You literally laughed."

His chest shook beneath my cheek.

"I know."

And somehow that only made me want to cry and laugh all over again.

The drive felt longer than it probably was, but I didn't mind. I had no idea where we were going. I'd only been to Greece a handful of times, and even then, I'd barely seen much beyond hotels, airports, and the occasional tourist attraction. Everything outside the window felt foreign yet breathtakingly beautiful.

The city stretched around us in a blend of old and new. Massive stone buildings stood beside modern architecture, while narrow streets opened into lively squares filled with people. Every turn revealed something different, and I found myself glued to the window, afraid I'd miss something.

Meanwhile Andrea was busy switching between his phone and laptop, probably catching up on all the work he'd neglected while spending time with me. Every few minutes his fingers would move rapidly across the keyboard before he'd answer a call, speak for a minute or two, then return to whatever was on his screen.

An hour passed before the scenery began to change.

The city slowly faded behind us, replaced by winding roads and rolling landscapes. The further we drove into the countryside, the larger the properties became.

Every few minutes we'd pass another mansion tucked behind tall gates. Some sat atop hills overlooking the valley, while others were hidden among rows of olive trees and carefully manicured gardens. Fountains sparkled beneath the afternoon sun, and colorful flowers lined driveways that seemed to stretch on forever.

It looked like something straight out of a magazine.

Beside us, Liam had long fallen asleep, curled against the window with his headphones slightly askew. His soft breathing was barely audible over the hum of the engine.

I couldn't stop staring outside. Everything was just so beautiful.

A strange warmth spread through my chest and I just know I'm gonna love it here.

This was home now.

As I watched another sprawling estate disappear behind us, I felt eyes on me.

I turned my head to see that Andrea was looking at me- a small smile on his lips, one that looked almost involuntary.

For a brief moment, our eyes met, then he quickly looked away and cleared his throat, directing his attention back to the laptop resting on his lap.

"We're almost there." Andrea e announced casually, not bothering to look up from the screen.

A smile instantly tugged at my lips. He must have noticed how excited I was, I could barely sit still.
