Layla texted me to meet her in front of the company.
Just to know that we're attending a party.
I can't text Kier because my phone is broken. I don't want him to worry about me, like what happened yesterday.
I went with Layla since she told me that it's a birthday party for her husband's friend. Who's that friend again? Layla has many and different friends.
"Selena" as we went inside the house. I saw Mia, she's with her husband - Ethan.
This friend is their common friend.
She hugged me and kissed my cheeks.
"How are you? It's been a week since I haven't seen you. I miss you so much, bestie." I hugged her too. I miss her so much.
We seperated from hugs and she hugs, Layla.
Ethan just nodded at me. He's a cold, colder than my husband.
"C'mon let's sit!" Layla said excitedly.
"Where's Kier?" Ethan asked me. I shrug.
"I do-don't know."
I want to go home there's a lot of people here.
"Hey, birthday boy!" I saw Layla kiss a tall and handsome man. She kissed him on the cheeks okay.
"Hey, you came. Where's your cousin.?" He asked and pulled a woman besides. I can tell by his actions, she must be the wife.
"Err, do I know where he is? Do I'm with him 24/7?" She asked while rolling her eyes.
The man chuckled on him.
Ethan gives Mia juice and gets the glass that he's going to drink.
"You said. It's just five glasses. You drink too much."
"Here. She's the wife, ask her. Not me!" They are now in front of me.
The woman smiled at me genuinely. I smiled a little bit.
"Uhh, so, you're the wife." He said.
What should I say?
"Yes babe, Kier showed us her pictures. She's the one he's always telling us!" The woman says. I don't know them.
"So, where is that asshole?" He asked me.
Why is everyone calling Kier an asshole?.
His wife nudged him. "Hello, baby girl" she hugs me. "We tend to attend your meeting but we're in Dubai for vacation." She kissed my cheeks too.
"Happy birthday." I greeted him.
"She's a shy type." She commented. "By the way. I am Shila, don't be shy, okay?"
"Wait, Jase is here!" Layla screams. "Bye guys!"
I'm having regrets that I shouldn't come with Layla.
"Hey, that's mine!" I heard Mia.
"That's enough, babe!" Ethan said in a deep and authoritative tone.
"Wait, we will just assist the other guest okay. Serve yourself. Don't be shy." She taps my shoulder. And they leave both. The man possessively snakes his arm on his waist.
"Iihh! I want more. Ethan, you're so killjoy!"
Layla left me again and was with Jase. I sat with the lovers who are now fighting over alcohol.
"I said. Five classes only. Too much alcohol in your body is not good." I joined them.
"Don't talk to me!"
The table is full of food and everyone is enjoying themselves. I must say, they had been here for a long time. I decided to take my time since I need to replace my phone. But, I'll try to bring it to repair shops. I don't want to replace it. Gadgets are too expensive and I don't want to invest in them. It's not a good investment, especially gadgets that are lowering value every year and the market releasing new models every year.
"Babe, I'm just concerned about your health. You had been drinking too much. I won't stop you from thinking if you didn't drown yourself on it two days ago… this is too much. You need to drink a lot of water to digest and remove the toxins in your body."
"Nye nye nye. Blah blah blah" Mia mimicked him and rolled her eyes on him.
Ethan sighed on her actions.
Mia pouted and turned her attention to me.
“Hey, bestie, I miss you. I haven't seen you for a long time.”
I didn’t reply and I am thinking about what my colleague says about me. That really hurt, big time. “Why are you so shy?” she asked me. “Don’t be shy with us, we’re friends and what’s with the deep thought?” she frowned.
“Excuse me, I’ll just take this call” Ethan.
“Why you’re not my Kier?” she added. I bit my lower lip. I don't know his whereabouts. I lost contact with him. I feel depressed about what is happening to me today.
Today is not my day.
“He must accompany you!” she hissed. I just smiled at her.
“Let's drink.” Mia gave me her glass full of wine.
I look at her. “Ethan doesn't want you to drink.” she giggles “you will drink this for me” she shows me the two bottles of wine.
I just nodded on her and got the glass on her.
“Wait, I’ll get you food,” she smirked.
I looked around and everyone was busy with their own business and life. I guess, everyone here is shouting power and wealth, they drink like there's no tomorrow. I saw a lot of bottles of alcohol everywhere. This place is not in the right fix, its messes and maids don't know who to assist and serve.
I feel pity towards them. They must be tired.
I heard laughter and oh, there’s a pool party too, I saw women wearing two pieces while holding a beer and a man topless. I look at the man's body, he has abs but Ken doesn't. But Ken is handsome, I'm fine with good looks. I don't like men with abs, it doesn't attract me.
The birthday boy came back to our table and he found me alone.
“Where's your friend and Ethan? He asked as he sat on the couch.
I drink. “Ethan answered a call, Mia got me food and Layla? I don't know” he puts the food on the center table. “Here, try these chicken wings, my favourite” I grab one. I am hungry. I want to eat rice.
“Loves” I saw his wife call him.
“Hey.” his wife sat on his sides and he shakes his arm on her waist.
“Are you tired, huh?” Shila asked him and wiped his forehead. “A little bit but seeing you makes me feel better.” he genuinely smiled at her.
Shila giggled. “I told you, we can just celebrate your birthday with them since you haven't seen them. You’re not a bachelor anymore. Looks, I don't know if everyone here is invited.” Shila.
He rested his head on her shoulder. “I just want to celebrate this one, especially because I am going to be a father.”
I looked at Shila to ask if it was true and she nodded her head on me. ``Three weeks, we just announced it to everyone a while ago.”
Hmm. The chicken wings are delicious, I haven't tasted this kind of food before and the taste is different, I must say.
“Hello everyone: Mia came with a bunch of food in her hands and a maid helped her.
She giggled as she sat and put all the food she's holding on the table. The maid cleaned the table.
Ethan came and sat beside Mia.
“Renzo, did you cook these foods?” Mia pointed to all the foods on the table. “Yeah, my chef and my wife helped me,” he said proudly.
A loud beat started to seize the whole place.
“Here. here eat this sissy. Don't be shy '' Mia puts a lot of food on my plates.
Ethan and Renzo are now busy talking about something in their lives.
“Try them sis, my husband is the best chef in the whole wide world.” I can see that Sheila is proud to have her husband in her life.
Renzo. “Who would think that I’ll settle and tie the knot? Damn bro, it really feels good to have pure intentions. I never thought I would be this happy.” I heard renzo.
They are delicious. I don't know if they are truly delicious or if I am just hungry.
“Shielyn, where did you meet Kier?” Sheila starts to ask me questions.
Layla came in the scene
“They arrange marriage too, like us. But, theirs is pure family business.” Mia answered.
“Here drink water.” Mia gave me water. “But you what? She never ahd a boyfriend” Mia started to tell my story.
Layla came into the scene, she doesn't look happy and sad, she looks upset.
“Renzo! Why is jase like that?!” she says between the two men actually she doesn't have any spaces to sit with them but she signals Ethan to move.
“Lay? Why? What happened?”
The two men interrupted.
“He keeps on pushing me! But I know he likes me! Why does he make things complicated? Why he don't follow his heart?!” she's frustrated.
Renzo laughs, “Jase doesn't like childish women, she likes sexy and mature people.”
“But I am sexy!” she gritted her teeth.
Layla keeps on chasing Jase.
It's too draining to chase someone.
Renzo was called by someone. “Love, We will just talk oaky” Renzo bid on his wife.
“Sure, I will just join these wives of your friends.”

“Yuck! I want to poke, ``Mia said when they kissed.
“Why did you react that way?! Wy? Ethan and you aren't kiss yet?'' Layla asked.
I can't hear them clearly. The music is so clous and the people are getting wild.
Layla's eyes got bigger. “Dont tell me Ethan is a gay, then he agreed on marrying you to hide his identity.”
“Lay, your imagination is so wide.” Ethan said in a cold baritone voice.
Shila laughs at Layla's imagination.
“You know, brother Ethan, you are handsome.” Layla holds Ethan chins while looking at his eyes and spitting those words.
“The wife is here, you can excuse yourself.” Mia smiled sweetly at her.
Layla rolled her eyes.
“I saw Kyran. Do you want to flirt with him?”
I didn’t hear what Mia whispered in layla ears to get her nose reeky. The loud music makes my eardrum broken.
Shila is just laughing on the sides.
“Your friendship is cute.” she said while her eyes sparkled while looking at them. “I never thought that my husband's friends are married and the wives are adorable and cute.’

They both said in chorus.
“Selen, is my only best friend!” Mia.
“Shila is my best friend and Selene is the wife of my brother!!”
Mia stocks up her tongue to tease layla.
“Excuse me, I’ll just go to the CR”
The two women didn't notice and hear me because they were busy having a childish fight. “Sure, the CR is on the left and turn Left again, then, you’ll see the brown door with gemstones hanging on it.” She sweetly smiled at me.
“YOUR friend is so shy,” Shila told the two girls but they were busy paying her attention.
Ethan is talking to a friend now who sits in their area.
“Do you want a fight, huh?! II will not turn you away even though ethan is here, hmmp!”
She nodded her head to the two women. They are too close, she must say.
“I am the queen of the war freak!”
Layla never changes, she loves to start a fight. When this woman will change for the better.
“I’m not into flirty bitches.” She decides to leave them because they are too busy having cat fights.
She didn't bid on them, she doesn't to disturb these two gorgeous women.
