I kiss Rico with my all. I can't believe he regained his memories. This is the best news I have heard all my life.
"I love you so much, babe" I hold his cheeks and lovingly stare at him. I missed him so much. Heaven knows how happy I am right now.
"I love you too, princess. Are you feeling, okay? You are not hurting anywhere are you?" Rico places his palm on my tummy and I smile shaking my head. I am perfectly fine, especially now that he is here. I gently hold his head when he lifts my shirt and places a gentle kiss on my stomach. Well, this is a first.
"You know what?" Rico smiles kissing my forehead. This is one of his rear smiles and they always make my heart jump in ecstasy.
"No. Tell me" I eagerly whisper.
"We are having twins. Isn't that amazing?" Rico blurts out, and all color drains from my face.
"What?" Oh! Fuck, I am in trouble. No doubt I will grow fat and lazy. Is that why I eat a lot of food? Kay was right. Why didn't Kay have twins too? " Are you sure? Who said that?" I hopefully murmur, wishing it is just his wild guess.
"The doctor who attended to you when we brought you here. We just have to identify their genders" I am so freaked out like crazy right now, but the sparkle in Rico's eyes and the rare smile on his lips make me smile a little.
"Promise me one thing," I awkwardly chuckle faking happiness. I hope he will consider my request.
"Anything for you, hon" Rico slowly rubs my back and I lean into his arms. When I think about how big my stomach will be in the future, fear grips every part of me. I want to keep my shape.
"If I give birth to these babies, promise you will not get me pregnant again" I hopefully stare at him and Rico chuckles biting his lip. I know what he will say even without him saying it. In his fucking dreams.
"Sweetheart, we talked about this" he whispers, tucking away my hair and I glare at him.
"Just promise, okay?"
"I can't baby, I am sorry" We will see if I let you touch me again.
Looking on the bright side though, his memories are back and I hope he answers the questions that have been bothering me.
"Tell me what happened the day you left home. I believe you had a plan, right?" I shift to the more serious conversation and he nods with a sigh
"Yes, it's a good thing you asked. That day when I left home, I contacted Sean because he seemed to know a lot about Maxim. We met at a club and after a drink, everything started moving in circles and when I realized I was drugged, it was too late. The next time I woke up was in a hospital with bandages tied around my head. Bella said I was involved in an accident but it can't be true, because you found my car and everything else intact" Rico explains and I nod in understanding.
Fuck that bitch.
"When we were looking for you, I contacted Sean a couple of times but he never answered. Then after a while, his phone went off to this day. Do you think he was the one to drug you?"
Money can buy anything. Even the most loyal soul. It all depends on the given price. In this situation, it's either Sean was bought or he is in trouble, that is if he is still alive.
"I am not sure, baby. At that time, my mind was blinded by revenge to think clearly. I found him already waiting for me to my amazement and immediately when I sat down, he ordered the drinks and we didn't get to talk after a couple of sips" Rico mutters with furrowed brows and everything makes sense.
"He is guilty as charged. He dragged you, Rico" I sit up and dial Nikolai's number. He needs to find Maxim ASAP. He claims he was paid to protect me yet, he is doing a shitty job at it. He is lucky I am not a rude person.
"Anything on Maxim, yet?" I go straight to the point when he answers the call.
"He is still in hiding, but my men are on it. I heard what happened, I am sorry for that" The man mutters and I roll my eyes. Alessio said he doesn't make mistakes. Too much talk.
"Help me find out what happened to Sean, the cop who used to work for me," I think Fabio will do a great job at that. It just didn't cross our minds that Sean was missing.
"Okay. Yesterday they brought in some of Maxim Men. I am about to question them. I will let you know the outcome in a while" Nikolai says on the other end.
"Okay," I end the call and face Rico.
"Listen, I have at least a hundred men who are trained to perfection, you have some, and Carl and Alessio have good men too. Instead of relying on Nikolai, why don't we come up with a plan to end this once and for all?" I enthusiastically ask feeling positive with my idea.
It's finally time.
"I have thought the same, baby. I don't want anything to happen to our babies, so the sooner we do this the better" Rico agrees and I reward him with a kiss.
My mother almost ripped my tummy open. I am sure that's what Maxim will do next if we don't get to him first, especially now that we have wiped out all of his closest men.
"Okay, talk to Carl and I will notify Fabio and Alessio"
