Chapter 35 35

Chapter 35 35
|| Author POV ||

Rosa stood unsteadily on her trembling legs. Her round doe eyes staring blankly at his clothed chest while Killian loomed before her beside his closet.

She thanked god silently, he didn’t go rough on her again because she was silently enduring him. She didn’t even want to imagine the pain he would cause her if she resisted.

He had just given her a careful wash and a gentle session to get rid of the pain, replacing it with pleasure–as if he cared, as if he wasn’t the one who shattered her.

Like the tender gesture could erase the ruin he had carved into her soul.

Killian’s fingers moved methodically, buttoning the shirt over Rosa’s fragile body. The fabric slipped low over her thigh, exposing bruised skin beneath. Her chest rose and fell in soft breaths.

She was dazed like she wasn’t truly there anymore.

Killian noticed it. He sighed silently “You won’t disobey me, understand? No matter how far you run, no matter if you flee to the edges of the earth, I will find you. You cannot escape.”

His hands tightened on the last button, sealing her fate as much as the shirt itself.

“So, be a good girl.”

A warm drop of water slipped from her lashes and fell onto his hand. Killian glanced down at the drop. His eyes turned cold just a fraction before he cupped her trembling cheeks, his eyes blank as usual.

Rosa’s empty and distant gaze finally met his, laced with silent pain. Like she didn’t know she was actually looking at him. Like she didn’t know him.

A sharp pang stabbed his cold heart.

His thumb traced the tears away with slow care. “Don’t cry. Does it hurt that much?”

Supporting her fragile frame, Killian held her close, steadying her from collapsing due to weakness. “You won’t cry. Everything will be alright. Understand?”

He leaned down, pressing a quick peck to her lips. He wasn’t feeling very good at the way she was blankly staring at him without emotions, yet her tears were escaping.

“I was just mad. Only if you hadn’t pulled that stupid stunt-” he inhaled “You won’t make the same mistake twice!” The words slipped out like a command, harsh like the professor she once knew.

Rosa finally blinked, coming back to herself when he scooped her up in his arms in bridal style.

A soft hiccup escaped her and Killian’s sharp blue eyes locked down onto her face. Rosa squeezed her beautiful eyes shut. Her small, chapped lips were trembling, chest rising and falling with fragile hiccups.

His gaze darkened as he watched her trembling fingers fumble with the buttons of her cloth, tears silently slipping down her cheeks.

He finally realized the depth of terror he had etched into her soul.

Shaking his head, Killian carried her to her bedroom. Reaching the bed, he set her down with a controlled gentleness, letting her rest against the bedpost.

Rosalie gasped quietly, trying to adjust the soreness.

Killian pulled the duvet over her bare legs.

Rosa blinked her wet lashes just as he exited from her room. Her trembling hand rose to her face, wiping away the tears, then clutched the duvet tighter to her chest because she wasn’t wearing any inner.

She was just wearing his shirt and her flushed buds peeked out shamelessly through the thin fabric.

Killian’s gaze locked on the small pill between his fingers. His voice was cold and sharp as he spoke into the phone.

“I asked for the contraceptives. Explain, what kind of drug is this exactly?”

The voice on the other end hesitated before answering. “Boss, this is a high-grade formula imported from Germany. It’s far more effective than standard contraceptives. While there’s always some risk, this significantly kills the chances to conceive after an unprotected sex.”

Killian listened intently. His jaw tightened with each word he heard. “Does it have any side effects?”

The response from the other side came as negative, so he finally sighed in relief.

Killian’s face hardened like stone as he poked his tongue inside the cheek. Then ended the call.

After a few moments, Killian walked back into her room. Rosa was still staring at the wall lost in thought but as soon as she noticed his presence, her eyes lowered and her fingers toyed anxiously with the duvet. Her posture shifted ever so slightly.

Killian carried a food tray. He knew she was in no situation to listen to him. Killian simply sat on the edge of the bed. His demeanor was like a devil.

He didn’t miss to see how her body flinched at his presence.

Killian easily pulled Rosa and placed her onto his lap. She was awkwardly shivering yet no words came out of her mouth. The duvet was covering her legs. Rosa pulled it even closer to hide her peeks. Killian placed the tray on her lap.

Pressing a slow kiss to the crown of her head, he murmured coldly “Eat up, rabbit.”

Rosa wanted to refuse, to shake her head but the words never came. The thought of food made her stomach twist.

Seeing her frozen in place, Killian’s arms slid firmly around her waist, caging her in.

“You’re going to swallow those pills.” he said flatly “So eat like a good girl.”

Rosa’s heart slammed against her ribs. Her gaze flicked to the tray where two small pills rested beside the food. Her muscles went rigid.

Is it poisonous? Was that what he was planning? To kill her after using her?

Her head turned slowly, trembling, eyes glassy and rimmed with red. Her lips parted but the words tangled in her throat, refusing to come out.

Killian read the flicker of fear in her eyes and the way her breath hitched. His grip around her waist tightened.

“One’s a painkiller.” he murmured, then paused, his gaze locking on her wide eyes–the kind that looked at him as if he wasn’t human at all.

“And the other...” his eyebrows narrowed “You don’t need to know.”

Killian never released inside her. He always made sure she took the pills without knowing, slipping them into her food or dissolving them in her water. But last night had been too intense to take any chances.

He chose not to mention it to her or she’ll freak out to death.

Leaning in, Killian whispered “It won’t harm you, bunny. You’re mine, remember? I won’t hurt you again, as long as you stay a good girl.”

His deep voice sent chills into her bones.

Rosa’s eyes dropped to her lap. The first tear slid down, then another, until she couldn’t stop them anymore.

|| On The Other Hand ||

Cedric was burning up inside. Marcus stormed into the mansion, frowning. “Man, why’d you run off from the party like that?”

He eyed Cedric’s tense face.

“Did you see the king? What was his name again?” Cedric asked to confirm while Marcus sat across from him, clearly puzzled.

“Killian Salvatore! I saw him from a distance. He’s quite young and handsome. I called you to talk but you ran off like you’d seen a ghost. What the hell’s going on?”

Cedric rubbed his temple, “How the hell is he the king? Was he undercover or some shit?” frustration thickened his voice.

Marcus frowned harder in confusion, “What the hell do you mean?”

Cedric leaned back against the couch, “Dude, I almost got exposed! Killian Salvatore is the king?!” he spat “He’s a professor at the National University! Same department as me! If he caught even a glimpse of me at that party, I’m dead. I’m sure he was undercover!”

Marcus smirked a chuckle, crossing his arms. “So you were right under the king’s nose the whole time, and crying for a connection to take his place?” He laughed loud enough to make Cedric glare at him.

“Shut your mouth, asshole! I’m serious. I can’t believe the king was always around me! Why the hell would a mafia king be at an academy? Doesn’t that strike you as suspicious?”

Marcus sighed, nodding slowly.
“Yeah, that’s definitely concerning. A mafia never moves without a reason. He’s got a mission, I’m sure of it.”

Cedric’s brow furrowed. “A mission? What kind of mission could he possibly have at an academy? That makes no damn sense. This guy’s playing a dangerous game!”

Cedric sighed but then smirked with a spark in his eyes. “But you know what’s interesting?”

Marcus raised an eyebrow. “What?”

“He was with a girl. And not just any girl, it was Rosalie Sinclair! The girl I told you about.”

Marcus’s face twisted with suspicion. “Wait, a student?”

Cedric shook his head slowly. “Not a student anymore. He is the mafia king, remember? He must have had some motives. If he’s with her like that, there’s definitely something going on. Maybe he wasn’t there on some mission, but for her? What if she’s his weakness?” his eyes lit up.

Marcus’s face twisted into a knowing smirk. “You’ve already got your eyes on her, haven’t you? Interesting.”

“That bastard got everything! Power and a beautiful woman!” Cedric sighed, then smirked “But i guess I got something valuable out of this... all thanks to you, Marcus.”

Marcus smiled proudly. “Anything for my friends but don’t rush anything.” Cedric nodded.

“Now I want both his power and his woman!” Cedric, also known as Kang Rowan’s cruel smirk darkened his face.
