I quickly move away from that spot, making her hit the bat on the bed. 

I felt the nightstand behind me, making me feel stranded as I stared at her. 

"You bitch!" she yelled, raising the bat again. 

I quickly jumped on the bed. 

She hit the things on the nightstand, making them shatter on the floor. 

"Ugh!" She approached me while raising the bat. 

I moved quickly on the bed and fell off the other side, landing on a body. 

Terror washed over me as I looked at who it was. 

My eyes widened the minute they recognized who it was. 

"Brenda...." 

"Bitch!" Imani took my attention from the bed. 

My heart dropped.

"Get ready to join her!" she yelled, raising her bat. 

I quickly grabbed the small portrait on the nightstand and hit her face, breaking it in the process. 

She groaned as I got on my feet and ran out of the spot. 

I stared between Brenda's body and Imani. 

Imani held her cheek, still reacting to the pain. 

I moved my eyes to Big Kai. 

He is lying on his belly with blood around him. 

My heart bled as I stared at him. 

Kai, no. 

Tears approached my eyes. 

"Ugh!!" Imani's groan took my attention. 

She is running towards me with her bat. 

I moved away, making her miss. 

"Stop this moving, you white freak." 

"Go to hell, Imani." 

She chuckled.

I scowled at her. 

"We are in hell. And I am the devil," she said, smirking. 

"Really? Well, I'm gonna put off all the fire you have ignited in this house, Lucifera!" 

"Ugh!!!" She ran towards me, raising the bat. 

I stood my ground and braced myself. 

She landed the bat but I caught it. 

"Ugh!" 

"Fuck you, Imani!" I kneed her belly, making her fall back with her bat. 

She bends, holding her stomach as she reacts to the pain. 

"Fucking bitch!" she yelled without looking at me. 

My heart pounded but I was ready for her. 

No more fright. 

This bitch needs to be taught a lesson.

She looked at me as she stood up straight. 

I positioned my hands up like I was about to box. 

She laughed. 

Like a lunatic. 

Yeah, keep laughing, bitch. Looking at you now, all I can see is the boxing bag I have tried with for weeks. 

"You fool." she mocked. 

I kept my hands still. 

"What's that shit? You ready to fucking fight me?" 

"Yes," I said boldly. 

She huffed. 

"What? You think those shitty training sessions you have been doing with my brother make you ready to fight someone like me?" 

"He is not your brother, psycho." I snarled. 

Her face twitched. 

"You are not his sister." 

"Shut up," she said calmly. 

"You are nothing but a fucking stubborn pest in his life and I got pesticides for you right here." I gestured at my ready hands.

"Bring it on." 

"Come on!" 

She approached me, making my heart rate increase but that didn't stop. 

I moved closer to her as she approached. 

She raised her bat at me. I held it with my two hands.

"I'm going to kill you, bitch!" 

"You will die first," I said, turning the bat but not easily cause she has strength too. 

We struggled with the bat, trying to take it away from each other. 

I punched her face.

She whimpered. 

She punched, sending aches to my brain.

I reached to punch her again, but she caught my hand and hit me with her forehead. 

I landed on the floor.

Blood dripped down my nose as she laughed. 

"Told you you can't beat me. You fucking who I am." 

I looked at her. 

"I'm Imani fucking Kincaid. Bitch, you ain't no match to me." 

I scowled at her. 

She leaned closer. 

"No match at all," she said, smirking. 

She stood up straight, hitting the bat on her hand. 

"Now, any last words before I bat you to death?" 

My heart dropped but I stared at her boldly. 

She raised her brows. 

"Hmm?" 

I kept staring at her. 

"Nothing?" 

I didn't respond but a movement from Big Kai's spot took my attention. 

He is moving his hand. 

God, he is still alive. 

"Alright then," Imani took my attention. "Since you have no words, I will have to....." 

"How much do you love Kai?" I retorted. 

She raised her brows. 

"Ooh. Those are your last words?" 

I stared at her. 

"I wasn't expecting that though. But hey, you know the answer to that. I believe you do, bitch." she said, smirking. 

"That's not love. That's obsession." 

She shrugged. "Call it whatever, sweetie. But the nigga is mine." 

I raised my brows. 

"And no one. I mean no one. Be it black, white, green, blue, NO ONE! Is gonna take him away from me." 

"Not even his mother?" I asked. 

Her face twitched. 

"Not even her, right?" 

"Yes. Not even her." 

I nodded. "That's why you had Naomi kill her just to get rid of me. Then you killed Naomi just to get on his good side. Now.....Brenda?" 

She stared at me. 

"What did she do?" 

She shrugged. "The slut was acting like Isadora. Yelling at my face and telling me she would make him marry her and get me kicked out." 

God, how evil can she be? 

"You see, even though Isadora and Brenda were annoying whores, you still managed to get me more pissed." 

I stared at her. 

"That is because he fell stupidly in love with you." 

I smirked, making her face twitch. 

"Doesn't that tell you something?" 

"What?" 

"The fact that Kai can never EVER" I mouthed intensely. "Be yours." 

She clenched her jaw. 

"Even if you kill me now, he will never accept you, incestuous bitch." 

"Shut up!" She yelled, raising her bat. 

I moved and kicked her belly. 

She whimpered. 

I kicked the bat out of her hand and kicked her face, making her fall back. 

I got on my feet but....

"Ugh!!!" She grabbed my hair, making me scream. 

"You're finna die right now, bitch!" 

I struggled to get her hand off my hair as it stung. 

She kneed my belly. 

I screamed at the pain. 

I let go of her hand on my hair as she reached to knee me again. 

I shielded my belly. 

She pulled my hair harder. 

I screamed again, reaching for her hand. 

She kneed me. 

I couldn't take it anymore. 

I punched her jaw. 

That didn't push her away. 

I punched her belly. 

She released my hair and gripped my neck instantly with her two hands. 

I choked violently as she tightened her grip. 

I struggled with her hands on my neck. 

"Die, you fucking white whore!" 

My eyes were giving up slowly as she gripped harder. 

"Send my love to Candace, Isadora, Naomi, and Brenda for me, bi....." 

In a flash, she got slammed hard with the same bat by someone behind her. 

She released me and fell. 

I fell on my butt, coughing nonstop as I held my neck. 

Imani is lying on the side in the floor. Her body jerked as her blood filled the floor, staring at the person. 

"Ka....Kai...." 

I froze, looking at the person. 

There he was, on his feet, standing without balance with the bloody bat in his hands, blood flowing down the side of his face, and staring at Imani. 

"Kai...." 

"You killed my mama." he almost muttered. 

Imani jerked again. 

"She fucking raised you." 

I looked at Imani. 

She opened her mouth but words aren't coming. 

"She loved you more than she loved me." 

Imani kept trying to make words. 

"You made a fool out of me," Kai said. 

I looked at him. 

The pain in his eyes and tone is heartbreaking. 

"You're gonna die." 

"N...no..." Imani spoke up. 

"Burn in hell." He raised the bat. 

I looked away, shutting my eyes. 

He hit her severely. 

I heard smashing sounds as blood hit me. 

He kept hitting and hitting her. 

Next, I heard him drop the bat. 

I looked at Imani. 

She is beyond recognizable. 

Blood and ripped flesh. 

I looked at Big Kai. 

He is still on his feet but he looks like he is about to fall. 

"Kai...." 

He moved his eyes to me. 

His eyes softened. 

Next, he began to fall. 

"Kai!" I quickly moved towards him. 

I raised his head and held it. I found more blood on his head. They filled my hands, making my heart ache the more as tears flowed. 

"Shawty....." he called as his eyes closed and opened. 

"Hang in there please. Stay with me. Someone help please!" 

"For.......forgive me, baby." 

I shook my head. "No, forgive me. I shouldn't have left. I should have told you what she did." 

His lips trembled as he struggled to speak. 

Oh, God. 

I looked around me for his phone. 

"Somebody help! Who is out there?! 

"Shawty....." 

"Stay with me, Kai. Please." 

"I......love you." 

I sobbed bitterly, nodding. 

"I love you too, Big Kai." 

"Pl....please ta....take care of Jay Jay."

"No! You are not doing this. No!" 

He closed his eyes. 

"No, Big Kai. Don't do this to me!" 

He opened his eyes. 

"You can't do this to me. Don't you dare! I will never forgive you!" 

He coughed, making my heart pound as I held him. 

"Fuck...." 

"Someone help me! Caleb! Coco! Anyone please!"

"Shawty....." 

"Where is your phone?" 

"Shawty....listen...." 

"Where is your phone?!" 

"I can't take it anymore." he closed his eyes. 

"Hang in there. Don't do this. I'm gonna hate you if you do this to me!" I cried. 

He opened his eyes. 

"Don't..... don't hate me." 

"Don't die." 

He closed his eyes and opened them again. 

"Kai..." 

"Boss?" A familiar male voice caught my attention. 

It was Rowland. 

Oh, thank God. 

He is stunned at the bloody scene. 

"Hurry, Rowland. He is losing blood!" 

He hurried towards me. 



TWO DAYS LATER..........

The beeping monitor now aligns with my ears. They have gotten used to it and my eyes can't stop moving to the monitor to see his life still moving. 

I am currently in the VVIP ward, seated on a seat close to Big Kai's bed. 

He is lying on his back, still unconscious but has a lot of medical things attached to his body, including the bandage wrapped around his head. 

The doctor said he got hit hard and has been responding slowly to treatment. 

He has had two surgeries in the last two days. 

The last one was successful. 

All we have to do is wait for him to regain consciousness. 

I just hope and pray he doesn't wake up with amnesia or something worse than that. 

Staring at him now, I am trying all I can not to cry. 

Cause I hate seeing him like this. 

Unconscious and vulnerable. 

He needs to wake up. 

I need him. 

Jay Jay needs him too. 

Please, wake up, Big Kai. Please. 

Bricktown needs you too. 

A tear rolled down my face, making me lower my gaze. 

The door opened and closed quietly but I didn't look behind me. 

"Mia," 

I turned my head and I saw Coco with Jay Jay in her hands. 

My heart tightened slightly as I stared at Jay Jay while he licked his eyes. 

I got on my feet, staring at Big Kai before walking towards them.

"Hey," she said. 

"Hey," I said and Jay Jay reached for me before I could extend my hands to him. 

I took him in my arms, caressing his hair. 

"I came to check up on you guys."

I nodded. 

"How is he?" she asked. 

I shrugged, looking at him. 

"He has been in that position since," I said, looking at her. 

She heaved a sigh. 

I lowered my gaze. 

"You need to go home and take a shower. You look pale." 

I shook my head. "No I can't leave him." 

"Just for a few hours. You have eaten or taken your bath." 

"I will take my bath here. There is an amazing bathroom." I said, forcing a tiny smile. 

"What about food?" 

I shook my head. "I am not hungry." 

"Mia." 

"I will be fine, Coco. Really." 

"I am sorry I couldn't help you back then," she said, looking remorseful. 

"No, it is not your fault. Imani locked you both up in that storeroom." 

She heaved a sigh. 

"Even sent Caleb and Rowland on an impossible errand. The maids too. It was like she got rid of everyone in the mansion just to be alone with Big Kai." I said, till intrigued by Imani's relentlessness. 

"She was an evil bitch." Coco said, moving her eyes to Jay Jay. 

"Sorry, Jay Jay. But your aunt deserved  to die." 

"She wasn't his aunt." I corrected. 

"True. She was a snake. I am glad she is dead. Now we all can finally live in peace." 

I nodded as my thoughts moved around Big Kai. 

"I just hope he wakes up soon," I said. 

"He will, okay? Have faith. He is strong. People like him always survive this." 

I nodded, smiling a bit. 

A knock came on the door and it opened, revealing the last people....scratch that, person, I expected to see and with flowers.
