Chapter 123 Train Station
Chapter 123 Train Station
MIA
Vicky is holding her doll and looking at me.
I hurried towards them and grabbed Vicky towards me.
"What are you two snakes doing with my sister?"
Imani chuckled, exchanging glances with Naomi who smiled.
"Snakes, huh?" Imani asked as I glared at her while holding my sister.
"That reptile's name has never sounded good."
"Mia," Vicky called, making me look at her. "Are we leaving?"
I opened my mouth to speak but....
"Yes, lil bitch. You and your older bitch are leaving this fucking house." Imani said.
"Stop saying words like that around her." I snapped.
"Why the fuck are you still here?"
I glared at her.
"You want things to get fucking messy?"
"If you are not blind, you would see that I have my luggage with me," I said.
"Watch your tongue, Mia," Naomi spoke up, making me throw her a glare.
"Nah, let her be, Naomi," Imani said, smirking at me. "She is leaving for good, remember? We have to bear with her. She is going through a lot right now."
I gripped my luggage handle tightly.
"Big Kai will be back soon. Take your double shits and leave."
"I need to pack my sister's things first."
"That won't be necessary," Imani said. "You have wasted time packing your things. You can give her your clothes or buy some for her. You have money and more will come from the fucking diamond ring. Now Leave."
I lowered my gaze, taking Vicky's hand.
I looked at Imani.
She gestured at the way with her hand.
"The driver is waiting outside," Naomi said.
"Can I at least say goodbye to Jay Jay?" I asked.
"No. He is not home."
"What? Where is he?"
Imani heaved a sigh.
"That friend of yours, the white maid, she took him with her to get cereal. She didn't tell you?"
I moved my eyes to Naomi.
She smirked at me.
This is smart. They had everything planned out. Got rid of Big Kai, Coco, and Jay Jay.
I can't even find Caleb anywhere.
Just these two snakes.
"You should get going. You can't wait for them." Imani said.
My heart clenched.
"Now hurry up before I change my mind."
I dragged my luggage along and was about to walk past them when....
"I told you I would get rid of you."
I stopped in my tracks and looked at her.
"Never underestimate me, bitch. I am more dangerous than Big Kai himself."
I kept staring at her.
"Be grateful you are leaving without a scratch. Have fun bring free. Bye Felicia." she whispered, smirking.
I averted my eyes from her and walked past.
I headed towards the stairs, suppressing my tears. I sensed one of them following us behind.
We descended the stairs and I didn't hear clicking heels following us behind.
That means Naomi is the one following us behind.
After descending the stairs, we headed for the entrance. I moved my eyes towards the kitchen area.
Mrs Kincaid came to my mind.
I don't know if her body is still lying there or if they have done something about her body.
I have no idea what Imani is planning.
I really did underestimate her. I should have watched my back cautiously.
Now I have lost Big Kai.
Jay Jay.
A marriage that would be beautiful.
And everything.
We walked out of the house and I saw a black car parked at the end of the stairs leading to the entrance. A man dressed in a black jumpsuit is standing close to the car.
I looked around the compound and towards the gates.
A huge part of me wants Big Kai to drive in and I would go to him, hug him, and tell him I didn't kill his mother.
He shouldn't believe Imani. She set me up!
But would he believe me?
Would he believe me after seeing the pictures?
I don't think he will.
"The driver is waiting, Mia." Naomi snatched me out of my thoughts.
I turned my head to her.
She is smirking at me.
"Why are you doing this, Naomi? How could you kill that poor woman to please Imani? How would you feel if it were your mother?"
"I never met my mother. So I can't feel shit."
I let out a breathless scoff.
"You should go."
I turned away from her.
"Before I push you."
I froze, turning my head to her.
"I will start with your tiny sister," she said, staring at me blankly.
God, it is no use.
"I hope you die a cold death."
She raised her brows.
"You and Imani."
"Your hope is hopeless," she said.
I huffed, holding Vicky's hand tightly and descending the stairs.
We got to the car and the driver opened the back seat. We entered and he closed the door.
I looked at the entrance where Naomi is standing as the driver got into the driver's seat.
Naomi smirked at me as the man started the car and we drove off.
I closed my eyes, feeling my heart tighten.
We drove out of the compound and hit the road.
"Mia?"
I looked at Vicky.
She is staring at me with worry dancing in her eyes.
I caressed her hair as tears approached my eyes.
"Why are we leaving? What about Jay Jay? And uncle and aunt Coco?"
"Um...they are um....they will meet us at the train station, okay?"
"Train station?"
I nodded, sniffling and suppressing my tears.
"Are we traveling?"
I nodded. "Mm hmm."
"To where?"
"Um... maybe to our grandparents' house."
Her face twitched in excitement.
"We have grandparents?"
I furrowed my brows but recalled instantly that we don't share the same paternal grandparents.
"Yes, Vicky. We have grandparents."
"Like grandma and grandpa?"
I nodded, forcing a smile.
"Yes, that's what.... that's what grandparents mean."
"Wow. I can't wait to see them." she squealed happily.
"Me too."
She chuckled as she stared at the road.
I moved my gaze to the window, covering my mouth with my palm as I struggled with my tears.
I lowered my hand, blowing out air. I can't let Vicky see me crying.
I blew my eyes with my fingers, making Vicky turn her head to me.
I forced a smile.
She smiled as well.
"Do our grandparents have block toys and coloring books Jay Jay and I can play with?"
My heart clenched but I nodded regardless.
"And crayons?"
I nodded.
"He would eat all of the crayons like he always does," she said, chuckling and facing the road.
Tears rolled down my face as my heart bled.
I wiped them off, calming myself.
I stared at the road as we drove past a lot of bushes and trees on both sides of the highway, heading to what I thought was a train station.
Imani wants me as far away as possible.
She must have paid the driver to make that easy.
I am sure of it.
She is that evil. She is beyond evil.
She had Big Kai's mother killed just to get rid of me.
That is awful.
What if she.....what if she shows him the picture anyway?
God, I don't want to imagine the look on his face.
Oh, God.
Why was I this careless?
Why?
Imani told me to my face that she would deal with me.
Why didn't I watch my back?
Why did I take all she said as mere words?
Why did I.....
Oh God, this hurts badly.
I can't believe it's over.
I am not going to see Big Kai again.
Jay Jay too.
It hurts terribly.
I can't even cry. I need to be strong for Vicky.
God, what am I going to do now?
Where will I go?
I looked at my ring.
My heart ached terribly.
I caressed it with my fingers, recalling the days he gave it to me.
First was at the church. He gave it to me forcefully.
If me then could see myself now, I wouldn't believe I would be hurting like this.
All I wanted then was to get away from him. Now I have no clue how I would survive without him.
The second was in his room. It was very beautiful and romantic.
The way he talks. The way he would pleasure me.
Everything.
My heart bled as tears rolled down my face.
This is terrible.
TWO HOURS LATER.....
"Have a nice day, Ms." The driver said, driving away.
I held my luggage handle and Vicky's hand as I stared at the car driving away.
We had a few hours ride in the car. I guess that is far enough.
I looked at the huge train station in front of me.
It has the name, "Small Country's Station" written on it.
A small ticket and snacks store caught my eye at the side of the huge building. It has a few people buying a thing or two from it.
I have to go and purchase two tickets.
But tickets to where?
"Mia?"
"Yes, Vicky?"
"I am thirsty. I want water."
"Oh okay. Let's go to that store." I gestured, dragging my luggage along as we walked towards the store.
We got closer and I stopped at the side of the store.
I crouched down in front of Vicky.
"Stay here with that luggage, okay?"
She nodded.
"I will get water and then purchase our tickets."
"Okay."
I caressed her hair as I got on my feet and walked towards the store. Three people are standing at the counter of the store, talking to the salesperson.
I stood behind them, waiting for my turn. I took out my phone and unlocked it.
I froze the minute I realized everything had been wiped off.
Pictures, the small contacts, texts, Everything.
I can only see the ten thousand dollars text on my text board.
They wiped off everything.
I don't have pictures to remind me of Big Kai and Jay Jay.
Coco as well.
What kind of torture is.....
"Mia!"
I looked in the direction. My heart dropped at the sight of a hefty black man dressed in black running away with Vicky thrown over his shoulder.
"Vicky!" I ran towards them and my heart pounded.
"Mia!"
"Stop! Let her go!"
He kept running.
"Somebody help!" I yelled, still running after them.
I quickly stopped and picked up some stones.
"Mia!"
Vicky's cries sent shivers upon shivers down my spine.
I threw the first two stones.
I missed.
"Stop!"
He kept running.
Vicky kept crying.
I prayed internally before throwing the third stone.
It landed on his bald head, earning me a groan from him and stopping him in his tracks.
I threw more stones at him, making sure they didn't touch Vicky.
He turned to me.
It was a scary-looking bald man. And he is still holding Vicky.
I kept throwing stones at him.
"Hey!" He yelled.
"Let my sister go, you freak!"
He put down Vicky.
My legs worked faster than my brain. They hurried towards him.
I kicked him in his groin.
He groaned in pain.
I punched his face and pushed him with all my strength.
He fell on the ground.
I grabbed Vicky away from him as he reacted to the pain in his groin, groaning relentlessly.
"You fucking bitch!"
I quickly turned us to run but I saw two more hefty men approaching us.
My heart dropped again.
I quickly moved Vicky behind me as I took steps back.
The men approached us, staring at me like hungry maniacs.
God, Mia. You have to make use of all the skills Big Kai taught you right now.
You can't let them harm Vicky.
But why is this happening in broad daylight?
No one is even helping us!
I looked around me and I barely saw people around.
Is this Imani's plan?
To kill me?
What happened to our deal?!
Next, I sensed a car approaching.
"Goddamn!" A male voice said and chuckled, making me look in that direction.
I froze at the sight of a familiar black man seated at the back of the car and staring at me with a smile.
"Did you guys see what she fucking did?" He asked the men, chuckling.
I am trying to remember his name.
His face twitched.
I swallowed as I held Vicky tightly.
"Wait a sec," he pointed his finger slightly. "Aren't you supposed to be Big Kai's girl?"
Oh God, I remember him.
Marcel.
He laughed. "It is you! I can't forget a fuckin face. Certainly not your face."
I took a step back without releasing Vicky.
"What is you doing here? Where that nigga at?" He asked, looking around dramatically.
"He ain't here?"
I didn't respond.
"For real?"
"Boss, we need the little girl." One of the men chipped in.
My heart dropped as I held Vicky, shaking my head.
"Right. Take her." Marcel ordered, making the men approach me.
"No!"
They stopped in their tracks.
I looked at Marcel.
He raised his brows at me.
"You will have to kill me first." I snarled.
He hummed, staring at me from head to toe.
My heart pounded violently but I was firm regardless.
He shrugged. "Okay. Do as she says."
My heart left my body.
The men approached me and I got a hard hit on my head.
The world stopped.
"Mia!"
I landed on the floor.
"Vic..."
Darkness took over me.
