Chapter 12 His Decision
BIG KAI
"Kai, what are you doing?" Imani asked, following me behind as I walked along the hallway, heading to my office.
"Why did you have Jamal given to that white bimbo?"
I took out my phone from my pocket, ignoring her as I unlocked my phone and began typing a text to Reeko.
"Kai, I am talking to you," she almost scolded, her heels clicking as she tried to keep up with my strides.
"Why aren't you answering me?"
"I got nothing to say to you," I said, sending the text to Reeko.
She scoffed. "What you are doing is pointless."
I got to my door and entered my office. Her clicking heels followed me behind as I walked towards my huge desk and sat on my black office chair.
I let out a tiny breath, feeling relaxed as always on my comfy seat as I sensed Imani resting her hands on my desk.
I looked at her.
"That white tramp has to die, Kai. Give the orders and it will be done right away."
I lowered my eyes on the part of my drawer and drew it out.
I picked up a cigar from the pack and pushed the drawer back in.
"She kidnapped your kid and held him for weeks." Imani went on.
I put my cigar in my mouth and reached for my lighter on my desk. I moved the lighter to my cigar and lit it up.
I took a draw and let out smoke.
"She is a fucking abductor and you know it. Innocence doesn't exist if that is what you are viewing her as. We have to fucking kill her." she said, making me look at her.
Her brown eyes, filled with fury and hunger to do what she just said rested on me.
Once I give the word, she will be out of here within a millisecond and the blood she is craving will flow.
Not today, lil sis.
"Give the orders right away,"
"I have no orders to give," I said, moving my eyes to my computer.
She let out a scoff. "What do you mean you....."
A knock shut her up.
"Come in," I ordered without taking my eyes off my screen as I moved my fingers on my keyboard.
"She is here, boss," Caleb's voice followed the minute the door opened.
I looked towards the door, the white girl walked in nervously with a blue blanket wrapped around her wet body from her shoulders and she had Lil Kai in her arms who was still playing with her hair happily.
That's one thing I find strange.
Don't forget the way he reached for her and smiled at her like he knew her very well.
Like she is his mother or somethin'.
Looking at the white girl now, she doesn't look like a threat.
Still, that is not a guarantee.
It is people like her who go undercover.
Just because Lil Kai is fond of her doesn't mean she is truly innocent.
I am still waiting for Reeko's reply.
"Take Jamal from her, Caleb. This bitch needs to be dealt with." Imani ordered, making me move my eyes to Caleb who just stood there, staring at me and waiting for my orders.
"Are you deaf, Caleb?!" Imani yelled.
"Caleb," I called.
"Yes, boss?"
"Tell the maids to get a room ready with Lil Kai's crib in it."
"Yes, boss,"
Imani furrowed her brows at me.
I moved my eyes to the white girl.
She is staring at the floor like it is the most interesting thing ever. She might have Lil Kai in her hands but she is trembling and clinging to Lil Kai like he is her safe shield.
"What is your name again?" I asked.
She didn't respond.
I raised my brows.
"He asked you a question," Caleb said, making her look at him.
"Answer,"
She moved her gaze to me nervously.
I rested my eyes on her.
"What is your name?" I repeated, getting irritated.
"Mi....Mia Jefferson, sir." she stuttered.
"Mia, henceforth, you are Lil Kai's nanny."
She froze.
"What?" Imani blurted.
"You will be taking care of his needs, welfare, every goddamn thing," I said, staring at her sternly.
Her lips trembled, opening to say something but nothing was coming out.
Like I gave her a room to.
"Kai," Imani called. "Kai, what are you...."
"That is my decision, Imani." I retorted, shutting her up.
She stared at me with furrowed brows.
"You have no choice but to accept it."
Her face twitched.
I moved my eyes to the white girl.
She flicked her eyes at me and lowered her gaze instantly.
Lil Kai began saying his meaningless talks as he played with her hair happily.
He really likes her.
It is fucking obvious.
Well, he can keep her.
I don't care anymore if she is a spy or not. I am still investigating her though.
But right now, she works here.
"Kai, listen. This is ....."
"Get the room ready yourself, Imani." I retorted, throwing her a stern stare.
Her face twitched.
"Now,"
Her face fell into a frown. She let out a huff as she walked angrily towards the door. Caleb moved aside for her and walked out of my office, making sure she didn't slam my motherfucking door.
She knows damn well I hate that shit.
I returned my gaze to the white girl. She is still staring at the floor.
"You said you didn't kidnap my son, am I right?" I asked, hitting the bottom of my cigar on a glass plate.
"Yes, sir,"
"You found him where?" I asked without looking at her.
"In....in the dumpster," she stuttered.
The fucking dumpster.
I scoffed.
Fucking shit.
I am still going to deal with the motherfucker that placed my fucking kid in a fucking dumpster.
How dare they?
The motherfucker is still out there and I am going to get him.
I put down my cigar and got on my feet.
I walked around the table, putting my hands into my pockets and I walked towards the white girl.
Her trembling increased as she took shaky steps back while I approached her.
I stood in front of her, noticing her five feet three compared to my six feet seven.
Tiny white bitch.
Another reason she could be telling the truth.
Fucking tiny and weak.
Her gaze rested everywhere but on me as she held onto Lil Kai tightly.
"Bitch, you tryna squeeze my kid to death?!"
She flinched, looking up at me momentarily as she released Lil Kai.
"I'm sorry," she muttered, lowering her gaze again.
I moved my eyes to my kid. Lil dude still playing with his white girl's hair.
I never thought he would like blonde hair.
I feel it is too early to start expecting a white daughter-in-law soon.
I reached for his curls, caressing them gently.
I was beyond worried.
I refused to think my fucking enemies had killed him to get back at me.
They won't fucking dare step on my toes like that.
But what this white girl is saying....
I moved my eyes to her. She is still trembling.
I scoffed internally.
Them fucking white girls.
Scared kitty cats.
I withdraw my hand from my son's hair and put it in my pocket.
"Mia Jefferson."
She cringed, still staring at the fucking floor.
"Look at me when I fucking talk to you, goddamnit!"
She flinched again, lifting her brown eyes at me, and gulped.
"You didn't kidnap my son,"
She shook her head.
"Speak up," Caleb ordered.
"N...no, sir,"
"I don't believe you,"
Her eyes twitched and she shook her head.
"I...I found him in a dump.."
"Shut it,"
She gulped.
"You must make me believe you didn't fucking kidnap my son,"
She furrowed her brows slightly.
"You claim to have taken care of him for weeks huh?"
She nodded. "Ye....yes, sir."
"Then you have to continue from where you fucking stopped. You are his nanny from now on."
Her brown eyes trembled as they stared at me.
"You are going to take care of him under my watch,"
She gulped.
"And when I say under my watch, I mean under my fucking watch."
She kept staring at me.
"I will be watching you. You feel me, white girl?"
She furrowed her brows.
I heaved a slight sigh.
"Do you understand me, white girl?"
She gulped. "Ye....yes sir,"
"I am going to be watching your every move. Every fucking step. Every fucking action."
Her eyes twitched.
"If I pick up a single negative thing, your head will be my new basketball,"
She froze.
"But first, I will shave your hair. Style it on a dummy so Lil Kai can play with it as much as he wants,"
Her trembling eyes lowered on Lil Kai momentarily and then back at me.
"Since he loves it so much," I added.
She gulped again, trembling.
"Don't fuck with me,"
She lowered her gaze.
"You got something to say?"
She looked at me momentarily and opened her mouth to speak.....
"The fuck you think you have the right to say shit?!"
She flinched.
"Are you fucking serious right now?!"
"I...I am..I..."
"Take this bitch outta my sight, Caleb," I ordered, turning to my desk.
"This way," Caleb said as I picked up my phone from my desk and unlocked it.
The door opened and closed as I stared at a voice text from Reeko.
I clicked on it and it played:
"Bitch just white as her fucking skin, OG. She got no dirt on her. She be living on her own and she got a mother, a sister, and a stepfather. Bitch's clean as fuck. I don't understand her connection with Lil Kai. She might be telling the truth about finding Lil Kai in a fucking dumpster. That shit is crazy, OG."
I moved my eyes to my screen as he went on.
"We finna kill them motherfucker who try play with you like that. I'm already working on it, OG. You don't have to worry yourself. I'm glad Lil Kai is home. I will send him a welcome home gift soon."
I walked towards my seat and sat on it as I stared at my computer screen. I pressed a button and videos of all the rooms in my mansion appeared.
I drew up the tool on my phone screen to send a voice text. Without taking my eyes off the computer, I moved the phone closer to my lips.
"When you find the morons, bring their souls to me."
The send sound went off as I moved my mouse, taking the control arrow to a particular room video, and clicked.
It zoomed.
Caleb walked into the room and the white girl followed him behind.
Her eyes roamed the room as she walked in nervously.
No potholes about you, white girl.
I am still not satisfied.
I am going to figure it out myself.
One wrong move.
Just one wrong move.
