Chapter No 15

Chapter No 15
She felt her body placed against something hard. She could hear people gathered around as she could hear their muttering. She slowly started opening her eyes.

“Thank God, you are awake,” said Hunza while bending on her.

“What happened to you?” asked Kashaan while bending as well. She got up while touching her head.

“Are you okay?” asked Hunza.

She looked around, and a lot of students were staring at her. She was looking for him, but he was not there. She had no idea how she ended up there.

She looked to her right and Emaad was standing there while folding his arms around his chest. He had poker expressions.

“You have gone faint, Emaad has brought you here,” said a girl, who had dark curly hair and narrow feline eyes. She was a bit chubby. She had a very soft expression.

Emaad? But how? I Romans there before getting faint.

“What happened to you?” asked Hunza, worried. She was looking at her with her eyes, but her heart was flattened.

"Roman is here," Emaad said, expressionlessly.

He knows, he knows, now what will happen, but where is he? Why is he not here?

“Saliha, hey, are you okay?” asked Kashan. He looked concerned.

“Yeah, know, I am fine, I was hungry, I have not eaten anything since morning,” she lied while looking away, but she could feel furious eyes on her.

She looked around again and found Emaad glaring at her coldly.

She gulped.

“Come on, get up, I told you to eat those chips, but you were so busy with that idiot project,” said Hunza, angrily.

“No, I, I am fine,” she said.

“No, you are not. How can you play with your health,” said Kashaan.

“Your friends are right dear, you should go,” said the girl who was sitting with her, the dark curly-haired girl. She did not know her name.

Just then they heard a multitude of students muttering and running out.

“What happened?” asked Hania, worried.

The curly-haired girl looked at Emaad instantly and his expression remained cold, but the girl’s expression turned anxious, as if she knew.

Emaad rushed out instantly.

“Emaad,” she called after him and got up. Hunza looked at her instantly.

Saliha felt something, she felt as if her worst nightmare had come true. She got up and rushed after Emaad.

“Saliha?” called out Hunza, and she ran as well, followed by Hania and Kashaan.

“What the hell is happening here?” asked Hunza, shocked.

A tall boy who had light brown hair and furious blue eyes was beating up the boy who had dark hair and a slightly shorter height than him.

“Is he crazy? He will kill him,” said Hania.

Saliha was shaking. She had never seen Roman this angry. He was beating Atta badly. Her eyes were teary.

Students gathered around to see who had signed their deaths by annoying a devil star of the institute.

"Who is it?" asked a boy.

"It's Atta, he is indeed getting what he deserves. He has been on the radar of a devil star for years," said the girl. The first boy nods his head in pity.

She was staring at him beating a boy of his age, a boy who became a living hell for her for four weeks. She never knew that he would end up in the devil's hands because it made her life miserable.

"What is happening? Who is this guy beating this poor boy? We should call the dean," said Hania, afraid.

"Poor boy?"

She repeats in her head that only if Hania knows what this 'poor guy' did to her and what he was up to, she will go straight kicking his ass alongside Roman.

Emaad was watching Roman beating Atta with satisfaction in his eyes.

Zain ran through the crowd towards Roman and stopped him. He had never seen him very angry either. They have been friends since childhood, but today he sees an Alien in his friend. He was holding him by his waist and was preventing him from beating Atta further.

"Roman, Roman calm down. You are going to kill him," he was screaming. He stopped for a while and was taking deep breaths.

"If you dare to walk an inch closer to her, I will bury you alive," he said while pointing a finger at him.

His blue eyes were furiously turning red due to anger.

"Who? Who is he talking about? His girlfriend?" said a girl, muttering among the students.

"Who knows, the devil star has got a lot of girlfriends. How can we guess who he is talking to?" said a girl, bored.

She turned instantly to look at them.

They were talking to each other but when they found her staring at them, they stopped.

"What do you want? Freak," said a girl, but she was not paying attention, instead, their words were echoing in her head.

"Who knows? He has got a lot of girlfriends."

The girls were looking at her in disappointment and then they walked away. She looked ahead and found him staring at her angrily. She felt an instant chill through her spine.

"How did he know that this guy was teasing me?" she thought. After a glare, he walked away, arrogantly. Zain looked at her with pity. All she knew was that Zain was his friend as she saw him in their house.

"Who was that guy?" asked Hania.

"I don't know," she said, without looking at her.

His words and cold voice were still echoing in her head.

"Don't you dare to tell anyone who you are to me," he said to her on the first day.

"You don't know him? Him?" said a girl who was standing next to them.

She turned and Hania looked at the girl with one eyebrow raised.

"He is the devil star of this college, and he is a senior known for hotness, and he is the most popular guy in the school," said the girl excitedly. It was obvious that she was indeed obsessed with him.

Wait, what does he study here? In senior years? This is his college? She thought, shocked. No wonder why he 'ordered' her not to expose her identity here.

“I, I need to go,” she said and walked away. “Okay, see you tomorrow,” said Hania.

She took a deep breath of relief that no one was going to harass her anymore.

She was walking towards the college's gates ; she knew he was very pissed off. She hid that she was being teased by a boy at college despite the fact he told her she had no right to keep a private life. The devil was indeed clever. She was walking slowly on the street when a car stopped by her.

She recognized his brand-new black Camaro with the same black no-see-through window glass. He did not pull down the glass and was continuously pressing the horn. She walked towards the car, and he opened the door for her. She gulped because she knew this was not good.

She got in. He was wearing vacant expressions. She was sitting quietly looking out of window, calm outside but panicked inside. He started the car’s engine and put it on race.

She was avoiding looking at him. There was an ambient silence in between them.

“How long have you known him?” he asked, breaking the silence in a cold voice, but she could feel the ice was crushing under his teeth as he was clenching his teeth.

She felt again the same chill through her spine as she always feels when he is around. She felt her words were buried in her head and was trying to speak, but it turned out she was mute suddenly. He had this control over her body.

He looked at her in anger, and then he pushed the accelerator and the car’s speed increased at a dangerous rate. She gasped. He was driving while looking ahead expressionlessly. She could feel her heart palpation.

“Please stop,” she said while closing her eyes. The traffic was high, and their car barely escaped an accident. She was shaking with fear. He did not stop. They were passing through the traffic, dangerously.

He did not say anything; instead, he was continuously staring at the road. It was obvious that he was an expert at it. He must be a good racer of something.

After 15 minutes of driving and giving her almost a heart attack, he stopped the car and her head hit the dashboard. She hissed with pain.

While touching her head, she looked up. Her head was throbbing. He was staring at her with anger in his blue eyes while crossing his arms around his chest. He had stopped the car somewhere in a less crowded place.

“How long have you known him?” he repeated his question in the same tone.

She looked at him with slight tears in her eyes.

"I. I don't know him," she stammered.

He took off his seat belt, and then he moved towards her. She had gone startled. He held her shoulder harshly and looked into her eyes. All she could see was anger in his eyes. He brought his mouth near to her ear.

“You have no idea what you are playing with,” his grip on her shoulder tightened. She felt a very sharp pain.

“I have kept my eyes on you, inch by inch, place by place,” he said in a whisper, and she felt as if he threw a bucket of cold water on her head.

"Trust me, I don't know him. He was trying to..." she was about to complete her sentence when he abruptly.

“Out,” he snapped.

“What?” she asked in a whisper-like voice.

“I said get out of my car,” he ordered.

Her eyes were wide open due to shock.

“I hate repeating sentences,” he screamed. “Out now”.

"Where will I go? I don’t know this place,” she said, almost crying.

He opened the door to her side and looked at her coldly. She left with tears in her eyes, and then he closed the door and started the car. In a matter of seconds, he was far away from the reach of her view.

She looked around in fear; she did not know where she was. She felt panic. She was on the beach, all alone. She sat next to a tree and started crying.

He was driving while clenching his teeth, he was glaring at the bike where two people were talking while the boy was riding the bike. The girl was smiling while talking to him. His grip on the staring got tightened and he pressed the horn.

“Oh come, Kashaan, take it aside, some idiot must have lost it,” said Hunza while looking back at the car. She was riding a bike with Kashaan. It was her favorite bike but Kashaan wanted to ride on it today, so she let him.

Emaad had pushed the race; his car’s speed was not faster than their bike, and he rushed ahead, but not before giving his last angry glare.

He was driving while taking deep breaths.

“Why does it have an effect?” he said, irritated.

His house was just fifteen minutes away. He had to cross the beach while going home. He was driving silently without any music for the first time, lost in his own thoughts, when someone caught his eyes.

He pushed the car’s brakes and pulled over the car near her.

“Saliha?” he muttered and got out of the car.

“Hey Saliha, what are you doing here?” he asked. She looked up, her eyes were swollen due to crying. He rushed towards her.

“What happened? Why are you crying?” he asked, worried, but she could not tell him why she was feeling upset.

“Home, could you take me home?” she asked. He took a deep breath.

“Why do you always end up in such situations?” he asked and smiled. “Luckily, you have me,” he said, trying to cheer her up.

She walked slowly towards his car. He got inside the car and so did she.

The whole time at her house was spent in silence. “Here you are,” he said, smiling.

She smiled.

“Thanks…” she forgot his name. “Emaad,” he said, smiling.

“Yeah, Emaad,” she said.

She got out of the car and walked towards the house.

She looked around. His car was not in the parking yard, which means he was not there yet.

She took a deep breath.
