Chapter 53 Problem For Tomorrow

Chapter 53 Problem For Tomorrow

Cara frowned. "Sure, we do need to talk. Come on in." She pulled the door wide open for him. Though she was acting angry-- which she was-- she was actually startled to see Romeo so... Disorganized.

He was never one to show that side of him to anyone.

He closed his eyes and fought the urge to throw up before opening his eyes back. "I don't... I don't think I should."

Her eyes rolled skyward. Grabbing his hand, she led him into her room and slammed the door.

They stood so closely to each other that the strong smell of alcohol filled up her entire lungs just by standing in front of him. He must have really had a lot to drink.

His cheeks burnt red. He averted his gaze and took a step back.

She scoffed angrily. "What so you're avoiding me now that you're getting married?"

His thick brow arched in confusion. "What?"

"Yeah, I know. Camilla told me about it and even if she hadn't, I saw the ring on her finger and the way she hugged you and wouldn't let go. The way you smiled too, you never smiled so brightly around me before and I knew there was something special going on between you two."

He blinked. "Wait, hold on, slow down. Yeah, you're right, Camilla and I do have a special relationship but--"

"No buts Romeo! No buts!" She exclaimed, cutting him off. She flung her arms in the air as she yelled. "Why didn't you tell me there was another woman?"

"Another?" His brows creased and his eyes squinted. "What are you...? Hey, hey, slow down." He gestured with his hand, telling her to calm down.

She took a deep breath and frowned. "I was just... I feel like a fool Romeo."

"Why? Did I say something?" The alcohol had suddenly cleared from his eyes. Apparently the anxiety and confusion he was feeling was stronger than intoxication of alcohol.

"No you didn't and that is the problem! I mean..." She sighed, tears welled up in her eyes. "How could you not tell me that you were getting married?" Her voice shuddered.

"Because I'm not...?" Romeo confusedly responded.

She arched a brow at him. "What? Don't lie to me, Romeo!"

"I'm not! I swear! I'm not getting married, I don't have any woman I'm dating right now."

She stared confusedly at him. "But what about... Camilla, who is she getting married to?"

"Rick, you remember him right?" His brow arched as he asked.

She nodded. "Rick. I do. Wait... So, you--" she pointed at him, "--and Camilla--" she pointed at the door this time, "you two aren't getting married?"

"What?" He exclaimed with a slight chuckle. "No, Camilla-- she's just like my really clingy little sister. We've known each other all our lives."

"Oh..." She muttered softly. She broke out in a chuckle. "I can't believe I thought... I mean I was so sad."

He suddenly looked serious. "Why were you sad?" His voice was cool.

Cara cleared her throat. "Well I thought... I thought we... I mean you and I-- I thought we like... Connected or something..." She stuttered.

Romeo took a step forward. "Cara..."

"No please!" She raised her hand to his face. "Don't tell me I was a fool for thinking that just please... Let me drown in my fantasies. It's enough for me."

Romeo held her hand and pulled her to his chest and a soft gasp escaped her mouth. His emerald eyes pierced right through her. "Well it's not enough for me."

His large hands snaked around her small waist and pressed her closer to himself. Her small hands laid on his chest as she stared deeply into his eyes.

She wanted to move away from him, to be honest, the fantasies weren't enough for her either but the fear of wanting what she couldn't have filled her up.

'You can't have this, don't let your feelings get the best of you, tell him to stop!' She told herself in her head.

Yet her hands wrapped around his neck and she raised herself to her toes to reach his face.

Romeo's lips-- the lips she had thought so many times about, wondering what it would feel like on hers-- brushed against hers softly as if hesitantly.

But Cara wasn't in the mood to be hesitant, her body and soul craved for him like never before.

So she pressed her lips against his. 'I'll take the lead if you won't.' She said to herself.

He kissed her back, passionately and hungrily. His teeth bit down on her soft lips and he sucked on it. He had never felt so hungry for something before. He wanted to eat her up completely and then some more.

Their tongues clashed together and explored each other's mouths, hungrily biting and sucking on each other's lips.

She impatiently pushed his jacket off his shoulders as she kissed him desperately. She moaned softly against his lips.

"Hmm... Cara, Cara..." He broke the kiss off as gently as he could.

"What? What? You have my hundred percent permission, Romeo." She didn't know why she was feeling so desperate. Could the fact that she had been craving for him for over a year be the cause?

He smiled, his dimples sinking in and making him look more handsome than ever. "I know and I want to do it too, trust me, I really do but..."

"But what?" She arched her thin brow.

He tilted his head to the side, a handsome smile decorating his face. He arched his brow at her, "have you really forgotten the reason we had to stop at the mini mart?"

"The mini-- oh shit!" She covered her mouth with her hand.

Romeo broke out in a chuckle. "Yeah shit." He couldn't stop laughing.

"I had totally forgotten about that! I can't believe myself." Her hands spread over her face. "I feel so ashamed."

Romeo still had her in his arms. "Do you like me that much?"

"Stop it!" She hit his chest jokingly and he laughed. She found herself laughing too. His laughter was like the song of an angel to help lift the heavy weight pulling her heart down.

He kissed her again. "I like you a lot. I've always liked you."

She blushed like a love sick high schooler. "Me too."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him. Together, they fell onto her bed while giggling childishly.

Both of them would be lying if they said their doubts didn't still weigh them down, but that was a problem for tomorrow and tomorrow would have to handle itself...
