Chapter 116 Right Moment
Cara did not know what to say in response. What would Mr Armani say about the hold story she had told him? Would he not want to know the issue his wife had caused that she was talking about?
But she was surprised when she heard the words mr Armani said to her. "Whatever issue you are having at the moment, it is not something that cannot be settled, I want you to know that. Also, Romeo would never leave you for a fight, he will be by your side all through your entire life time. I know that.
"I know you must be wondering how I know that but Romeo and I are pretty close. He has confessed to me, letting it known how much he loves you and needs you in his life. With the way he said it, with the way he confessed it to me, I know that he loves you beyond words can comprehend."
She did not know what to respond. She thought for a second before speaking, "Mr Armani, I am so sorry for what I said, I don't think anything is wrong with Romeo supporting his mother or wanting me to do what she wants but--"
"Not at all, honestly I don't think there is any thing wrong with you fighting for your right, letting him know what you want, what you can withstand and what you cannot withstand.
"It is a relationship, not a prison. You should follow the orders they are giving to you just because you want to become a part of his family. You had a life before your shared one and that life still matters. You should not ignore your own happiness for another man. Not even the one you love."
Cara could not help but to smile. She felt so happy that she had a father in law like Mr Marcus Armani. She never believed that he would be so understanding about her situation and even take her side.
She reached forward and took his hand in hers. "Thank you so much for being so nice to me. I really appreciate it to be honest and I don't know how I am supposed to show my appreciation."
Mr Armani smiled in a kind way and shook his head softly. "You don't have to thank me for doing my duty as your father in law, also if you want to appreciate me then go ahead and call Romeo and sort this out with him."
Cara nodded her head in response and rose to her feet. "If you will excuse me then, I'll quickly go and see him instead."
"Go ahead my darling. Remember to call me when things are sorted out." He added with a smile on his face.
She turned to walk away but turned back to look at him. "What if he doesn't want to settle things with me? What if he is so angry that I let it drag for so long and now he doesn't want us to get married anymore?"
"Firstly, relax." Mr Armani said to her. "And secondly, I know my son and you should know him too. He definitely cannot and will not say that to you. You mean more to him than you could ever imagine. Now go on and settle things already."
She nodded with a grateful smile and gave a bow of her head before hurriedly rushing out from there as fast as she could.
She got into her car and took out her phone, immediately dialing out Romeo's number. His phone began ringing but he did not answer the call.
She bit nervously on her thumb finger nail wondering if he was still angry. "Is he avoiding my call because he still has not forgiven me about what happened?" She asked herself.
She started dialing his number again and once again it went unanswered. She thought for a moment in silence, trying to know where he would be by that time of the day.
Where would any person with a company to run be by that time of the day? Of course at work! She was the one who had given herself a holiday because of how she was feeling but it was time for her to pick herself up.
She instantly put her car in ignition and started driving towards his office. She did not know why she was feeling this rush of adrenaline in her veins but all she knew was that she wanted to see him and talk things out with him once and for all.
And also go for her dress fitting.
Arriving there, she parked in the parking lot and went towards the elevator. Waiting there, it seemed like it was taking almost forever to arrive.
She chose to take the stairs instead. Her brain had completely stopped working because if it had still been working, even a little bit, she would have remembered that his office was at the last floor and it was a very long way to go.
But at that moment, Romeo was her goal. He was all she wanted and she did not mind how she was going to get to him. She just wanted to get to him and that was exactly what she would do.
Panting heavily, over how many minutes rushing up the stairs like a maniac let loose, she finally arrived at the last floor and without taking a moment's pause to breathe, she started towards the entrance to his office.
"Uhm excuse me ma'am?" The receptionist immediately called out to her. "You can't go in there right now, Mr Armani is having an impromptu meeting with some important personalities and he has asked that nobody disturbs him." The young lady explained to her.
"Oh don't worry about that," Cara said to her. "I am his fiancee so he won't mind. Don't worry about that."
"No ma'am you don't understand, he said that he does not want--"
"Don't worry about that. Honestly he won't mind."
Cara turned and started towards the office. The secretary kept calling her but she refused to answer. Now was the only right moment.
