Chapter 114 Wedding Dress Fitting

Chapter 114 Wedding Dress Fitting
The morning air was cool on her face, her nausea had surprisingly disappeared without a trace. Maybe if she had stepped out earlier, she would have felt better.

The feel of the breeze playing with her hair and spreading kisses all over her face was more than relaxing. But Cara still felt nervous because she did not know what to expect from the outing she was going.

What the outcome would be would only be known to the time travelers. As for her, she would just have to attend it to find out.

She had arrived at the golf course faster than she had anticipated. Well, there was no going back now. Whatever would happen would happen.

Several others dressed for the environment were around, enjoying simple games with friends and families. Some even plain strangers challenging each other's skills.

She did not spot Mr Armani anywhere though. She looked all around the room. So she had to walk up to an attendant-- a young blonde female helping refill balls-- and she spoke as nicely and softly as she could despite the unnecessary irritation she was feeling due to her pregnancy.

"Excuse me? Sorry to bother you while you are so busy but I am here to see someone. Mr Marcus Armani." She explained to the young lady.

"Oh... Are you his daughter in law?" The lady asked Cara.

Cara batted her lashes, was she supposed to be surprised that the lady knew who she was? "Oh uhm yes. That's me. Cara Smith."

"He didn't leave a name but he announced that his daughter in law would be coming around. Please, let me show you to his course." The lady said and started to lead the way.

Cara's brow arched up thoughtfully. "His course?"

"Yes. Mr Armani has a private court to himself. Next time you come here, you don't need to ask anyone. You can just come here and take the golf cart down to his own personal property. It's quite far on foot." The lady explained as she hailed a passing golf cart. "Please get in." She said to Cara.

Cara nudged her head forward in appreciation and got into the golf cart. "Please drive slowly." She requested, subconsciously touching her stomach.

The man driving nodded his head and they were in motion. His ignition was so soft that she barely felt any inconvenience.

A while later, they had arrived at a vast area of green land. There stood Mr Armani enjoying his game by himself with some attendants around to cheer for him whenever he got a hole and also to encourage him just in case he missed.

Cara got down there and thanked the people who had helped her find him before advancing towards him. "Good morning Mr Armani." She said with a soft smile.

Marcus turned around and his face split into a smile. "Cara! You're here. Welcome. Have a seat and take a drink if you wish." He pointed at a table that had four chairs around it.

Near it was a larger table with cookies and cakes and cupcakes and other sweet and tasty snacks decorating it. Who knew Mr Armani had a sweet tooth?

Then a bottle of champagne laid in a bucket of ice just near by as well.

Cara was keeping from alcohol, so she asked for something without alcohol instead. "Apple juice will be fine for me and maybe just a muffin and some milky chocolate cookies." She felt like she was at a fast food, placing an order.

She would have fetched them herself but a young lady had walked over towards her and insisted on serving her.

"Just give me a minute," Mr Armani said, "I'm almost done with this game. I am so close to breaking my wife's record."

Cara smiled softly. "No problem Mr Armani. I'll be right here."

Her order soon arrived and she treated herself to a cookie. It was one of the sweetest treats she had ever tasted in her entire life. They tasted like they were prepared by hands not of this earth.

She did not know a simple chocolate chip cookie could taste that sweet. The juice was perfect as well. Everything must cost a fortune and not a penny less.

After a while, Mr Armani joined her with a slightly disappointed look on his face. "My wife is just too good. I have been at it for a while now to beat her record but it is just impossible." He admitted.

Mrs Armani was a renowned golf player so it was no surprise. She played from her early years and it was a talent and not a skill.

Cara smiled. "You'll definitely get it next time for sure."

Mr Marcus Armani shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe. Do you play?" He asked her.

Cara's eyes widened softly. "Huh?" She did play but she was not good in it at all. Her dad had tried to teach her when she was younger, he even went as far as buying every single equipment for her.

But she couldn't play well at all, so she hated it. A nervous chuckle left her mouth. "A little. I used to play with my dad when I was a little girl."

Mr Armani nodded his head. "I hope you can challenge my wife one day and win."

Cara was silent. All that left her mouth was a nervous chuckle.

She smiled awkwardly before taking a sip from her drink.

Mr Armani noticed her stiffen and he smiled. "No pressure dear, just a friendly game. The only one better than my wife at golf is Romeo and he hates the sport. He prefers tennis."

"Oh... I didn't know." She said with a soft smile on her face.

"Yeah. Anyway, I called you here out of your busy schedule so let me not take too much of your time. When are you coming for the wedding dress fitting? The tailor is asking."

Cara blinked. "The wedding dress?"

Mr Armani nodded his head. "When are you coming?"

"I'm still... Getting a wedding dress." She muttered to herself. She felt her face split into a soft and happy smile.
