Chapter 36: Ruin Me slowly

Chapter 36: Ruin Me slowly
Chapter Thirty-Seven: Ruin Me Slowly

POV: Noah

There was something profoundly dangerous in the way Elias watched him across the expanse of his obsidian desk. It wasn’t the familiar heat of desire, nor the focused intensity of strategy. This was different. Deeper. Darker.

He stared like a man balanced on a razor’s edge – not of love or lust, but of obsession. Of a violence held barely in check. Of a truth so raw, so brutally fundamental, it felt blasphemous in the sterile glow of the office lights. It was the look of something feral recognizing its mate, and the terrifying understanding of what that bond demanded.

“You’ve been pushing me all week,” Elias stated, his voice a low, resonant vibration in the heavy silence. The blinds were drawn tight against the city’s neon pulse, casting the room in fractured shadows that danced across the sharp planes of his face. “Testing limits. Provoking. You want me to snap, don’t you?”

Noah’s breath hitched, catching in his throat like a trapped bird. He stood rooted near the window, the cool glass at his back a stark contrast to the heat coiling low in his belly. The air crackled. “I want the truth,” he countered, his own voice steadier than he felt. “The one you keep locked down. The one beneath the CEO, the strategist, the fortress.”

Elias pushed back from the desk, the movement deliberate, predatory. His suit jacket lay discarded over his chair. His tie hung loose, a slash of dark silk against the crisp white of his shirt, the top two buttons undone, revealing the strong column of his throat. Every step he took across the plush carpet was a measured countdown, the distance between them shrinking with an almost audible tension.

“I don’t do soft, Noah,” he said, the words scraping like gravel. “I don’t cradle. I don’t whisper sweet nothings. And I warned you, from the very beginning.” He stopped mere inches away, his presence overwhelming, radiating heat and restrained power. His grey eyes, usually icy calculation, burned with an unnerving intensity. “I’m not the man who walks away. I’m the storm that breaks.”

“You think I don’t know that?” Noah snapped, the frustration and the desperate need bubbling over. He met Elias’s gaze, refusing to flinch. “You think I haven’t been standing right here, waiting? Waiting for you to finally break? To stop holding it all in? To show me the fucking core of you, Elias, not just the polished weapon!”

That did it.

The carefully constructed control shattered.

Elias surged forward, a force of nature unleashed. His hands slammed against the window pane on either side of Noah’s head, caging him in. There was no gentleness, no preamble. Their mouths collided like a physical impact – desperate, furious, a clash of teeth and tongues and shared breath that was less a kiss and more a claiming, a battle cry. It was bruising, possessive, a whirlwind of sensation that stole Noah’s breath and left the phantom promise of marks neither knew how to articulate, only inflict.

“You’re playing with fire, little king,” Elias breathed against his swollen lips, the endearment laced with a dark threat that sent shivers down Noah’s spine. His hips pressed Noah harder against the cool glass, the evidence of his own arousal undeniable.

Noah tilted his head back, baring his throat in a gesture of utter surrender and defiance. “Then burn me, Elias.”

The transition to the penthouse bedroom was a blur of tangled limbs and bitten-off curses. The dim light from the en-suite bathroom cast long shadows. The discarded silk tie felt cool, almost shocking, against Noah’s fevered skin as Elias expertly wound it around his wrists, securing them to the heavy, wrought-iron headboard. The restraint wasn’t cruel, but deliberate, absolute. A physical manifestation of the surrender Noah had demanded.

Elias paused, his face inches from Noah’s, his breath warm. The dangerous intensity hadn’t faded; it had focused, honed to a razor’s edge. “You can say no,” he murmured, the words a low thrum in the quiet room. His knuckles brushed Noah’s cheekbone. “One word. It stops.”

Noah met his gaze, his own dark with need, with trust, with the terrifying exhilaration of freefall. “I won’t.”

And he didn’t.

Elias kissed a slow, searing path down Noah’s body, as if mapping territory he owned by divine right. His mouth was worship and possession intertwined. Each touch, each nip, each lingering press of lips felt like Elias was deciphering a language written solely on Noah’s skin, a dialect only he was fluent in. Noah gasped, a sharp, involuntary sound, as teeth scraped delicately over the sharp ridge of his hipbone. The line between pleasure and pain dissolved, melting into an intoxicating ache that pooled low and heavy.

“I think about you,” Elias confessed, his voice rough, graveled with desire, as he nuzzled the sensitive skin of Noah’s inner thigh. The intimacy of the admission, raw and unfiltered, was more potent than any touch. “Every goddamn time I close a deal, sign a contract that shifts millions… I see your face. Every time someone mentions your name in a meeting, a casual fucking comment… it echoes in my head like a prayer. Every time I walk into an empty room…” He paused, lifting his head slightly, his eyes blazing up Noah’s body, capturing his gaze. “And you’re not in it… it feels like a vacuum.”

Noah’s body arched off the bed, straining against the silken bonds, seeking more of that devastating mouth, that voice that unravelled him. “Please…” The word was a ragged plea, torn from somewhere primal.

Elias didn’t move. He held Noah’s gaze, a dark king demanding fealty. “Beg properly.”

The command, delivered with such quiet, absolute authority, shattered Noah’s last vestige of restraint. “Elias,” he gasped, the name a prayer, a curse, a lifeline. “Please. I need you. I need this. Now.”

That was enough. Elias claimed him with his mouth, a slow, devastating possession that was both punishment and benediction. His rhythm was excruciating, maddeningly precise, designed to unravel. Every flick of his tongue, every deep, deliberate pull, was a masterstroke of sensation. Noah’s world dissolved into a haze of white-hot need. His breath fractured into sharp gasps, broken moans, curses that melted into wordless cries. He strained against the tie, muscles corded, back bowing. He had never felt so exposed, so utterly conquered, so completely known. Elias wasn't just touching him; he was dismantling him, piece by glorious piece.

When the climax tore through him, it was volcanic, obliterating. He cried out, a raw, guttural sound, Elias’s name ripped from his lips like the only truth left in the universe. His hands clenched futilely in the silk binding him, his body shuddering through waves of ecstasy so intense they bordered on pain.

After, the silence was profound, broken only by the ragged symphony of their breathing. They lay tangled in the wreckage of sheets, sweat cooling on their skin. Noah’s chest still heaved, his wrists bearing the faint, satisfying imprint of the silk. Elias lay beside him, his shirt hanging open, revealing the hard plane of his chest. Bruises, dark and possessive, bloomed across the column of his throat where Noah had bitten, kissed, claimed in his own desperate counter-assault.

The frantic energy had ebbed, leaving a weary, resilient calm. The shadows of the impending corporate war still loomed, but here, in this intimate aftermath, they felt distant. Manageable. Together.

“You’re not the only one willing to go to war, you know,” Noah murmured softly, his fingers tracing the line of a fading bruise on Elias’s collarbone. His voice was hoarse but steady.

Elias turned his head on the pillow, his gaze inscrutable in the dim light, searching Noah’s face. “You’d give it up? The title? The office? The power you just fought for? For me?”

Noah met his eyes, no hesitation, only absolute certainty. “I’d give up everything, Elias. The corner office, the stock options, the fucking skyline view. All of it. Without a second thought. If that’s what it took to stand beside you.”

The raw vulnerability in the admission hung in the air. For a heartbeat, Elias simply looked at him, the complex layers of the man – the predator, the CEO, the lover laid bare – shifting in his storm-grey eyes. Then, wordlessly, he reached out. Not with the practiced seduction or the calculated control, but with a rough, almost clumsy instinct. He pulled Noah fiercely against him, tucking Noah’s head under his chin, his arms wrapping tight, anchoring. It wasn't soft, not in the traditional sense. It was possessive, protective, a shelter built of muscle and bone and the unspoken vow that echoed in the frantic beat of his heart against Noah’s ear. It was Elias trying, in the only way he knew how, to be the haven Noah offered him.

“You already ruin me,” Elias whispered into Noah’s hair, the confession raw, stripped of all pretense. “Every single day. You dismantle every wall I ever built.”

Noah smiled faintly against his skin, the warmth of Elias’s body seeping into his bones, a different kind of ruin. A beautiful, necessary destruction. He tilted his head up, his lips brushing the pulse
point at the base of Elias’s throat. “Then ruin me back, Elias. Slowly. Completely. Again and again.”
