Chapter 58 58
"Hey, so what did the kids agree on for their birthday? I've prepared the best style Jade could have on her hair. What about her dress?" Cassidy asked, collapsing onto the plush chair.
"You are overly talkative today. What's the occasion?" Alexandra narrowed her eyes as she stood up from her seat, walking to meet Cassidy. She sat on the chair and rested her back on Cassidy.
"I've always been overly talkative and you know it."
"But you look so excited? What is it? " Alexandra turned her neck to look up at Cassidy and Cassidy smirked.
"I know who he is." She confessed. Alexandra pursed her lips.
"Who...is ..he? Who is that?" She asked.
"My one night stand." Cassidy muttered nonchalantly.
"The guy who had been stalking you!?" Alexandra sat up immediately in shock, "Did you catch him? When?"
"I didn't catch him technically...." Cassidy fiddled with her fingers, "He revealed himself to me."
"So? You reported him?" Alexa asked, looking at Cassidy who scratched the back of her neck. "You didn't?" Her eyes widened in pure suprise.
"Yeah. If he revealed himself to me, it simply means he doesn't mean harm." Cassidy said.
"Are you crazy?" Alexa hit her hardly on the shoulder, making her jerk forward. "How can you trust a stalker? He was your one night stand who dramatically stalked you for some months and you let him be when you found out? Seriously, Cassidy. Not okay." She frowned.
"He doesn't mean harm. Seriously, we are now even close."
"Do ....you by any chance like him?"
"Well, " Cassidy shrugged, "I'd always liked him from the one night stand until he became a chronic stalker."
"How can you? It's pure danger. This is why I always tell you to keep your laps closed." Alexa shot.
"I was drunk." Cassidy argued and Alexandra sighed.
"When did you find him?"
"The night of the awards ceremony." Cassidy confessed.
"He revealed himself to you there?" Alexandra asked, "For what?" She probed further, curiously.
"I don't know. He just did. He took me out for dinner."
Alexandra shook her head, "While your friend was having the hardest time of her life, you are having dinner with some dangerous stalker? Just imagine." She frowned.
"I didn't know about that. He was the one who informed me and immediately, we left the scene. He brought me to your house that night."
"Your stalker knows my house." Alexa said. It wasn't a question, more of a confirmation.
"It's like my abode." Cassidy said, "He knew it." She added purposefully and Alexa hit her again.
"I hope you don't get into danger for this. What's the guy's name?"
"Sam." Cassidy answered like a good little girl.
"Surname?"
She shook her head and Alexa's eyes widened.
"You don't know?" She asked.
"I don't."
"Family? You don't? Oh my God, Cassy, are you out of your freaking mind?"
"Take it easy. I'll find out." Cassidy said with puppy eyes, blinking at Alexandra. She scoffed in reply.
"I hope you know what that flower means?" Eugene asked as he walked into Liam's office, catching him trimming the flower.
"I know. But it'll still the best gift I've received from Alexa in a long time." He muttered, dropping the trimmer on the table.
"I'll take care of it." He added.
"Didn't you say you were going to Velvet Vixen today?" Eugene asked, dropping a series of file on Liam's table.
"Don't you think I'd be suffocating her? I mean, she doesn't look at me with so much hate and disgust like before but do you think I'll be rushing too much if I meet her? Tell me, Eugene."
Eugene blinked, purely in shock, "I'm the wrong person to ask boss. I've never been in a relationship before." He muttered his reply and Liam's eyes widened.
"What?"
"I have no experience whatsoever." Eugene added.
"How can you be my secretary without any experience of dating?!"
"It wasn't written as part of the requirements." Eugene retorted.
"Even still." Liam sighed, placing his hands on his waist as he shook his head, "How do you know the representation of those flowers? I assumed you've given them to ladies before."
"My mom runs the shop." It was all Liam needed to finally break the last run.
"You played me street, Eugene." He said.
"You said you needed flowers." Eugene replied patriotically and Liam clenched his jaw tightly.
"I will need a lot of flowers from you mother shop." He said finally, walking out of the office. He hadn't gotten to the elevator when his phone rang.
Mr Hills, Stella's father.
"Why don't we meet in the cafe next to my company?" Mr Hills asked and Liam sighed.
"I'll be there." He said calmly.
Liam stepped into the cafe, half expecting to see Stella with her father but it was opposite. He glanced at the man, before walking towards him.
"I almost thought you wouldn't be present." Mr Hills said while Liam took his seat opposite him.
"I tend to be respectful to elders if they are towards me." Liam replied.
"I didn't believe I'll be in the list of respected people for you." Hills smiled and Liam nodded.
"Why not?"
"I came to plead with you few years ago to accept my daughter back. You strongly told me you weren't interested in her and I shouldn't try that again. I realize how foolish that attitude was."
"You were only trying to be a father to your daughter." Liam replied.
"I guess. But truthfully, I had no idea you were married. No one did."
"Our marriage was registered in secret." He said.
"I'm so sorry about what Sam and Stella did." Mr Hills shook his head regretfully and Liam tilted his head.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"The threatening message about killing Alexandra. Wasn't that the reason you divorced Alexa?"
"It was Stella and who?"
"My son, Sam."
Liam chuckled, "They were the one who sent the message?" He asked, clenching his jaw tight.
