"So that's why you purchased the card for you yesterday?"
"Yes, Dr. Tais. She's my ob-gyn."
"I was so unsure of what your reaction was going to be. I was heartbroken when you acted like I had done the wrong thing by not aborting the baby."
"I was so afraid Melissa was going to tell you the news before I could."
"Is that why she kissed your belly at bedtime?"
"Yes!"
"I saw her do that but I did not think much about there being some particular reason for that."
"She wants it to be a boy."
"Yes, she wants a baby brother so much. But I told her that it might be a girl as well."
He kissed Bonnie's hand while holding it. "I would be delighted if we had a boy."
"Why?" She could not help asking him.
J'onn shrugged, "I would prefer it anyway if it is a girl but I agree with Melissa. There is just this feeling that it is going to be a boy."
"You can't wait to have little J'onn running around?"
He blushed. "It would be an honor."
"If you say so. I'm fine with either sex, as long as the baby is healthy."
He looked down at her belly, making her laugh, having forgotten that she was mad at him before.
"You can touch it if you want to," All her life, Bonnie had known J'onn to be confident but it was nice to see him actually shy.
"Christ!!! Bonnie!! You could have spoken earlier. I was too rough on you when we were okay? Do we have to go to the hospital to conduct some tests?"
Bonnie could not hold it in as she burst into a fit of satisfied laughter. "Fking. Do you think the baby is
"It's not funny, Bonnie, you are not supposed to be laughing. I may have done something wrong. Do you feel weird in your belly?"
"I have to say, it's nice seeing you like that." She muttered, the smile still refusing to leave her lips.
"Come on, babe. I'm really starting to feel terrible. We had sex a couple of times and I was being so rough with you. You were looking like you were enjoying it so I couldn't make out if it was paining you or not."
"Do you have a reputable Doctor here? Let's go to the hospital as soon as it's dawn."

"Are you certain? You are not hiding anything from me, are you?"
She lightly squeezed his hand in response, hoping that it would reassure him because she could see concern written all over his face.

"Good sex is extremely important for a pregnant woman. It's good for the development of the baby."
"I know I'm still in my first trimester which means I am in my very delicate period but We can have sex in whichever way we want as long as I am comfortable with it."

"All of the Doctors that were suggested aren't exactly the best at what they do. I want you to have the best. I'm thinking about bringing the family Doctor over. The pilot will bring him over as soon as possible so he can come visit you."
Bonnie shook her head. "You think that's gonna happen?"
"Of course, he is not coming here for nothing, I am paying for his services. Anything for you, Bonnie. Your health first."
"I don't know anything about pregnancy but I remember my sister falling sick all the time she was pregnant. I just want you to be in good hands, babe."
"You are sweet and I appreciate you've got my interest at heart but I don't think that would be necessary."
"Dr Tais may not be the best obgyn, but I know that there are good doctors here too in Fareo Island."
"Having an Obgyn is more than making an appointment with the best Doctor. I think I like Dr. Tais and I feel safe with her."

"Good! Because she would like to meet you." Bonnie smiled too.
"She does?"
"Yes, I was at the hospital for a check-up two days ago and she asked about the baby's daddy. She wanted you to be very much involved."

"When is your next appointment?"
"Next month."
"Can we see her tomorrow? I want to make sure you are okay."
"I'll call her if she can squeeze us in. I want you to listen to the heartbeat as well."
