CHAPTER 9: MONTEQUINTO

I was surprised when a lip touched my forehead, I was stunned by what Liam did. Fortunately, I didn’t open my eyes to what he did.

“ Uhm his gone young lady” I heard madam say so I opened my eyes. I was embarrassed by what Liam did because he was actually in front of his mom.

“ I think my son likes you” I look at her.

“ he’s nice and it’s not hard to love him” I replied.

“ that’s good to hear,” she said. I was looking at her because she looks familiar it seems like I have seen her before and she notice that I’m staring at her

“ Sofie it’s me Vivian Montequinto the mother of your friends” I was stunned for a moment ‘ mother of your friends’ OH MY!

“ Lucas Montequinto and Liam Montequinto” she added. I remembered the name of my playmates my gosh! Why didn’t I notice that they were my friends, so that is why Montequinto is familiar with me.

“ looks like you already remembered “ I can’t believe that they were those kids so that is why Liam reacted that way when I shared my story.

“ I never thought that you were their mom” I came to my senses.

“ me too and I never thought that you are the one that our father was looking for” I was wondering what she said.

“ what do you mean by looking for me?”

“ you will know why because you and Liam will come with me to France next week,” she said.

“ what?”

“ Liam’s grandfather wants to see you so he ordered me to pick you up but before that, I will be here for a week to teach you “ she will teach me.

“ I also wonder why father ordered me to personally teach you but I can’t help but follow it ” this seems to be part of don Ricardo’s plan.

“ he said I will teach you for a month but I disagreed with him and I said I will teach you for 1 week because I can not leave our business for that long especially now that our family is in trouble“ Mr. Ronald is right they are in trouble because of Don Ricardo’s wealth and base on what I have read he has 5 siblings and all of them are married, all of them are also rich.

“ may I know the reason why Montequinto is in trouble?” she looks at me

“ father announced that he will inherit his wealth but he did not mention who will it be, he also said that only half will be divided and the another half will be given to the one he was looking for a long time”. She stared at me.

“ but for now let’s focus on your training for I only have a week to do it”, she said, I was hardly breathing when she stared at me a while ago.

“ you can count on me” I bow my head to respect her and she smiled.

“ I never thought you will grow up like that before you were like a boy, so dirty and don’t have manners “ I was pleased with what she said.

“ me too, I was surprised” I replied. She stands up and becomes serious.

“ if that’s the case then shall we start your training,” she said and I followed her.

Mr. Ronald came with the maids to guide me. First, she wanted to see how I walk. She sited and watch me.

“ closed your leg Sofie” before it was hard but now it’s even more.

“ focused on what are you doing, lift your head, and don’t look to anyone!” she said aloud, I am following whatever she say.

“ ok, you’re doing good!” I smiled

“ okay next, maintain that posture and go to the kitchen and show your table manners “ I followed her order, I was walking to the table but I fell.

“ go back from the start, Sofie!” I keep on doing it until I was able to do it properly.

“ ok now show me what you have learned” I took a deep breath and show her what they have taught me.

“ sit properly! Don’t forget your posture. You’re a young lady!” so this is how she trains, she was so strict.

“ let’s do it again, I want you to repeat everything without any mistake because Montequinto’s will not tolerate any mistakes,” she said. It was tiring.

“ even if you tried do not show it to them, keep your emotions away when you are with them especially when you are in the company” I nodded.

I repeated it many times until I was able to do it without any mistake. Finally, I did it!

“ ok good! Next Mr. Ronald brings her a table and changes her clothes with business attire” I thought it was over but not yet.

“now that you are wearing your business attire, I’d like you to walk like what you did before, I will show it to you first”. She went outside the room and the maid opened the door for her.

“ When the door opens see to it that your chin is up, look straight and let your secretary speak what you came for but pay attention to what they will say. Do not take whatever they will give you, make sure that you have sited before they give it to you” I saw how she sit.

“ Okay, now it’s your turn,” she said. I stand up in front of the door.

“ wrong! Make sure that you are already in your posture when you are standing in front of the door!” I can’t believe it, my back hurts already

“ wrong! That’s too much!” what? How?.

“ How is it?” I said

“ do not push your breast too much! Are you kidding me! Your husband will get mad at you if he saw you do that” I blushed after hearing it.

“ act normal with proper posture Sofie” I was already tired

“ what if I don’t have to go to the company,” I said.

“ huh? That is not possible! All of our family members are being introduced in all the companies we have for them to know” I was surprised

“ all of your company?” I can’t believe it

“ yes! All!” she said.

“ how many companies does Montequinto have?”

“ more or less 50 not including the resorts and others” I almost fainted at what she said

“let’s continue tomorrow” she left and I sited because I was so tired.
