CHAPTER 15:LASON

Sofie

I am helping Fatima right now, all of the people are busy preparing for her wedding. It’s not an ordinary wedding and we have only a few days left to finish all but everything is going smoothly.

“ your wedding is getting near, how does it feel?

“ I am nervous at the same time I’m afraid but I’m happy,” said Fatima

“ afraid?” why is she afraid.

“ I’m afraid that something bad might happen” I frown

“ what do you mean?” I wonder why she said that

“ I heard that girl and she’s planning something” I felt nervous

“ girl? Who is it”

“it’s Uncle Theo’s fiance, I heard her when I went out of the kitchen. She said, secure the place and then she ask the poison if they have it already. I did not hear all of it but I am sure about the poison she said“ I can see Fatima was afraid.

“it Thalia but who is she going to poison,” I ask.

“ I don’t know maybe it’s one of the Montequinto’s or maybe it’s one of us,” said Fatima, I stand up and ask myself.

“ Fatima I’ll leave you for a while, I need to know what is she planning” I left Fatima.

“ good afternoon Young Lady “ the maid greet, I smiled

I was wandering all over the place when someone caught my eyes, it’s Thalia and the guy I saw that night with her. They are far from me but I can still see them, it looks that Thalia is flirting with him but the guy moves away from her.

I saw the guy leave her so I hide so that they won’t see me. I followed Thalia to know what is she planning. She went to the kitchen and I saw her talking to Don Ricardo’s cook.

I move myself a little bit to see if what did Thalia gave to the cook when I accidentally push the bowl. It caught their attention so they look at it and I have to hide so that they will not see me. I was in a panic at that time because I don’t know where to go until someone pulled me.

“ shhh” I was nervous that time, it’s just Lucas.

“ Follow me,” he said silently so I followed him and went inside the room.

“ bestie!” she hugs me.

“ Are you crazy!” she taps me.

“ ouch that hurts, what’s your problem,” I said

“ What if you were caught back there, I can’t believe you followed her,” said Fatima.

“Sorry I have been investigating that girl for a while,” I said, they wonder.

“ wait, can you both explain what is going on? Fatima just pulled me and said to find you” whispered Lucas

“ I heard Thalia ask a guy if they have the poison and I said it to Sofie but I wasn’t expecting that she will follow her” Fatima look at me.

“ because it’s true, I heard her talking to one of Don Ricardo’s chefs and I saw her give a bottle to him. I wanted to see that bottle but I accidentally pushed the bowl and thank you Lucas for help back there” I explained.

“ if that’s the case then for whom is the poison and you said that you were investigating her?” asks Lucas.

“ yes, and I found out that she has a bad background. She’s having a relationship with a rich man and she takes all of their money without being noticed” they were a shock.

“ is it for Uncle Theo?” asked Fatima, we look at each other.

“ what you guys doing here, they are calling for us to go down and eat with them” someone spoke, its Liam but we are worried about the dinner

“ shit! What are we going to do?” asked Lucas

“ what are you talking about?” asked Liam who still hiding

“ We have to cancel the dinner, Liam makes a way to stop it because the foods have poison” Lucas is in panic.

“ what?! Sino who did that” asks Liam.

“I’ll explain everything later but for now we need to stop the dinner,” said Lucas.

Knock knock

We look at each other but it seems that Liam is still with us, what are we going to do now? Lucas opened the door.

“ Young Master and Young Ladies they are calling for you” we can’t do anything so we went there and pretend that we don’t know anything.

“ Young Lady Sofie, you look pale? Are you feeling ok?” ask Don Ricardo.

“ Nothing I’m just having a headache,” I said

“ Young Lady I have a soup here made by Thalia, if you want you can have it, it’s ok if I give it to her right babe?” we look at each other.

“ But babe I made it for you,” said Thalia who is nervous that time

“it’s not bad if I’m just going to taste it right? “ I ask and I felt Fatima pull my dress underneath the table.

“ sure Young Lady, Thalia can make another soup for me,” said Uncle Theo and give it to me.

“ maybe there is poison in there” added Madam she said jokingly. I look at Thalia who is nervous at that time, so the poison was in here. She wants to poison Theo. They were all looking at me and I spooned the soup and eat it while looking at Thalia.

“ mmm, it’s good,” I said it smiling and I took my napkin and wiped my mouth.

“ Thalia’s cooking is good, babe why don’t you give us soup I know that you cooked for us right,” said Theo

“ Please bring out the soup that Thalia made” ordered Theo, Thalia is already sweating and they bring out the soup and give everyone.

“ papa why don’t you taste it first,” said Theo. That can’t be, there’s poison in it. I felt dizzy that time.

“ wa-wait” I tapped the spoon of Don Ricardo and fell.
