Chapter 130
Chapter 130
Serena’s POV
Kayden, standing at the doorway, looked no less like a devil himself. His chest heaved up and down, his eyes were wild, and blood smeared along the side of his neck where I had stabbed him.
His fists were clenched at his sides, his jaw so tight that I was surprised it hadn't snapped yet.
The moment he took a step ahead, I hid my face with my arms because I thought he was going to slap me but I didn't feel any pain.
I looked up to find him reaching for the phone. I tried to dodge him, but my movements were slow and my body felt exhausted. His hand shot out and wrapped around my wrist, twisting it brutally until pain exploded up my arm.
A loud gasp escaped my throat as he was too quick in snatching it from my hand and smashing it against the floor and crushing it with his feet. He stomped over it again and again as if trying to take out all his anger.
“No—!” I cried.
He turned to me slowly, holding the ruined phone up between two fingers before letting it drop.
I didn’t even get time to process the loss before he grabbed a fistful of my hair. Pain exploded across my scalp as he yanked my head back, forcing me to look at him.
I cried out in pure pain as my hands clawed at his wrist, but he only tightened his grip.
“You really thought you could outsmart me?” he snarled. His face was just inches from mine. I could smell blood, sweat, and madness on him. “How dare you stab me!"
He pulled my hair and made me stand up. When I tried to push him away he shoved my back against the wall. The impact knocked the air out of my lungs and stars burst behind my eyes.
I gasped, but I didn’t scream.
I met his gaze, even as tears streamed down my face.
“You deserve every bit of it,” I spat. “And I’d do it again.”
His hand twitched like he might hit me.
But he didn’t.
Instead, his grip in my hair tightened until my scalp burned, and he dragged me forward, forcing me to stumble as he pulled me out of the bathroom.
“Such fire,” he muttered darkly. “Even now.”
"Kayden, leave me before it's too late" I told him.
He chuckled.
“I’m already late in catching you,” he replied. “Now nothing can stop me until I make you completely mine.”
I held his gaze, refusing to look away. My heart was trembling with fear, but I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of seeing it.
I stared into his eyes with equal intensity. For a moment, something unreadable flickered in his eyes. Then his lips curved into a cruel smile as his eyes moved down to my lips.
"You have no idea what this fire of yours does to me," he chuckled and leaned towards my face, "I badly want to show you what you’ve done to me.”
My spine stiffened.
“I want to show you how much I want you,” he continued, moving his one hand at my waist, “And how I punish people who hurt me.” he pinched me painfully, and I let out a scream.
“But not now.” His jaw clenched. “Because of your stupidity!" He said through clenched teeth "I don't understand why you think that man can protect you. How could you forgive him for the way he treated you!"
"Before saying anything about him, just look at yourself Kayden. How are you treating me!"
"After what you have done, I am still treating you better!" He snarled "Once you are mine, I will make sure you forget his name. I will not let you even think about another man"
And then he started dragging me forward. His grip was like an ironclad.
"Let me go!" I dug my heels into the floor, struggling with whatever strength I had left. "Don't touch me!"
"Stop struggling!" He shouted.
“No!” I shouted. “I am not going anywhere with you!”
I slapped his chest, punched his shoulder, and clawed at his arm, but nothing affected him.
Suddenly his patience snapped. With one brutal motion, he shoved me forward. I stumbled as my feet took me towards the exit. I yelled in pain when my shoulder slammed into the doorframe but he didn’t slow down.
I twisted in his hold, trying to break free. “Kayden, stop!” I cried. “You’re making a mistake!”
Nothing stopped him. He yanked the back door open and shoved me inside the car. I reached out for the other side of the door but he was quick in sliding inside and asking the driver to turn on the child lock.
My chest heaved as panic surged through me. I banged on the window.
“Open it!” I screamed. “Let me out!”
“Drive,” he ordered the driver and the car started moving.
He held me tightly and pulled me against his chest. I twisted violently in his hold, dug my nails into his arm, and slammed my elbow into his ribs. I did everything to hurt him. He was losing his patience with me, but he didn't loosen his grip. Not even for a second which irritated me even more.
He hissed when my nails scratched his skin but his grip only tightened.
“No!” I cried, throwing myself forward, trying to reach the front. “Stop the car!”
But he grabbed my arm and forced me back into the seat.
The driver didn’t even look back. It was as if he turned a deaf ear to my painful cries. My heart shook knowing how humanity has died from people.
I punched Kayden's chest repeatedly.
“You keep fighting,” he murmured, “and I’ll make this much worse for you.”
“You think this makes you powerful?” I cried. “Kidnapping me like this? Forcing me? You’re nothing but a sick, pathetic...”
Suddenly, his hand shot up, and he grabbed my jaw painfully. His eyes were dark as he stared down at me. My chest heaved with every breath I inhaled. I stared at him with rage as my eyes burned with tears.
“Shut up,” he growled. “Or I swear I will..."
I bit him as hard as I could. He cursed lightly and pushed me back into the seat.
He stared at his skin for a few seconds before snapping his eyes up at me.
"You bitch!" He growled, "I am going easy on you, that doesn't mean you are free to do whatever you want!"
He once again grabbed my arm in a painful grip.
"Let me reach the place once, and then I will show you your place." He spat "Once I am done with you, I will make sure you can't move from the bed"
I pushed his hand away.
“You won’t win,” I shouted so loud that my voice echoed in the car “Matteo will find me. He will make sure you regret everything you did to me!”
His lips twitched as if I just cracked a joke “Let him try.”
He turned his head to the road ahead. The driver drove the car through dark roads.
God please help me.
