Chapter 258 Pregnant

Chapter 258 Pregnant

It went on for several days with no improvement—in fact, it got worse. Luca noticed something was off with her and got really worried. He grabbed her hand and insisted on going to the hospital.

"I'm fine, just tired. A few days of rest and I'll be good. No need for the hospital," Olivia said with a smile, pushing back. She didn't want to worry him and thought it was no big deal.

"No way, we have to get it checked. What if it's something serious?" Luca said firmly, not taking no for an answer. "I've already taken time off work. Today, nothing else matters—I'm taking you to the hospital for a checkup. Don't worry, I'm right here."

Olivia looked at how tense he was and felt warm inside. She stopped arguing and nodded. "Okay, I'll listen to you."

At the hospital, Luca held Olivia's hand the whole time—through registration, waiting in line, and every test. He stayed by her side, worried she'd feel even a little uncomfortable. During the exam, Olivia got nervous and gripped his hand tight, her palms sweating.

Luca felt her tension, held her hand back, patted the back of it gently, and whispered, "Don't be scared. It's okay. Just a routine check. Whatever it is, I'm here with you."

Olivia nodded. Looking into his serious eyes made her feel a lot calmer.

After the tests, they sat on chairs outside the exam room, waiting for results. The air felt thick with tension. Olivia felt a mix of hope and fear—she had no idea what was wrong.

Soon, the doctor came out with the report, smiling warmly at them. "Congratulations! You're pregnant, ma'am—six weeks along. Everything looks good. Just rest more, eat well, and you'll be fine."

Olivia froze, staring at the report in the doctor's hand. It took her a moment to process. She was pregnant? Their second baby? Leo was going to be a big brother? Joy and excitement flooded her heart. Her eyes turned red, and tears started falling.

Luca stood there stunned too. A few seconds later, it hit him. His voice shook with excitement as he hugged her carefully, not wanting to hurt her. "Really? Olivia, is this real? We're having another baby? This is amazing!"

He hugged her tight but gently, like he wanted to shout the news to the world.

Olivia leaned into his arms, nodding through happy tears—tears of pure joy. "Yeah, we have another baby, Luca. Our second one."

The doctor watched them, smiling. "No need to get too worked up. You're healthy, and so is the baby. Rest up, eat right, and come back for regular checkups."

"Thanks, doctor. Thank you so much," Luca said quickly, taking the report and tucking it safely into his bag like a treasure.

They left the hospital, Olivia clutching the pregnancy report tight. She couldn't stop grinning the whole way home, her eyes full of anticipation. Luca held her hand, his steps lighter, glancing down at her now and then with so much love it almost spilled over.

"Let's not tell Grandpa or Leo yet—give them a surprise, okay?" Olivia looked up at him and said with a smile.

"Sure, whatever you say." Luca nodded with a grin, ruffling her hair. "But no more hard work for you. From now on, no chores at home. I'll handle everything. You just rest, take care of yourself and the baby."

Olivia nodded happily, her heart full. Back home, Linus and Leo weren't there yet. Olivia pulled Luca to a corner of the living room and secretly handed him the report, eyes shining. "Look, this is our baby's report. Isn't it amazing?"

Luca took it, read it again, still feeling like it was a dream. He pulled her into his arms, kissed her face over and over, and said seriously, "Thank you, Olivia. Thank you for giving me such a perfect family. I promise, I'll work even harder to take care of you, Leo, and our little one. I won't let any of you go through a single hardship."

"I believe you," Olivia whispered, leaning into him. She knew he meant it.

Just then, Leo's voice came from the door: "Mommy! Daddy! We're home!"

Olivia quickly wiped her tears, hid the report, and went to greet them with a smile. Leo ran into her arms, hugging her legs and looking up. "Mommy, where'd you go today? I missed you."

"Mommy got a checkup. I'm fine," Olivia said, ruffling his hair. "Was Leo good at kindergarten today?"

"I was super good! Teacher even praised me!" Leo said proudly, then turned to Luca. "Daddy, where'd you take Mommy today? Did you get me treats?"

Luca crouched down with a smile, ruffled his hair. "Got you some—they're in the fridge. We'll get them later. But Daddy has good news—a surprise for you, but not yet."

"A surprise? What is it, Daddy? Tell me!" Leo begged, wrapping around him.

"It's a secret. You'll find out when the time's right," Luca said, teasing him on purpose.

Grandpa walked over, seeing their sneaky looks, and asked with a smile, "What are you two whispering about? A surprise?"

Olivia and Luca exchanged a glance and nodded with smiles. Olivia took Grandpa's hand gently. "Grandpa, good news—you're going to be a great-grandpa again. I'm pregnant."

Grandpa's eyes lit up. He froze for a second, then nodded excitedly, grabbing her hand, voice full of joy. "Really? Olivia, for real? That's fantastic! Our family's getting a new member! What great news!"

His hands shook a bit from excitement. He quickly said, "Sit down and rest. No more work around the house. Tell me what you want to eat—I'll have the kitchen make it. No skimping on you or the baby."

"Thanks, Grandpa. Got it," Olivia said, nodding with a warm smile.

Leo watched everyone so happy and asked curiously, "Great-Grandpa, what does 'Mommy's pregnant' mean?"

Olivia knelt down, touched his head gently. "Leo, there's a little baby in Mommy's tummy. You're going to be a big brother. You have to protect your little brother or sister, okay?"

Leo's eyes went wide. He stared for a second, then jumped up excitedly, gently touching her belly and whispering, "I'm gonna be a big brother! Awesome! I finally get a little brother or sister! I'll protect them, give them all my toys, play with them, and tell them stories!"

Everyone laughed seeing how excited Leo was. From that day on, the whole family spoiled Olivia like a treasure. Grandpa made sure she had all kinds of tasty, nutritious food every day.

Days passed, and Olivia's belly grew bigger. She moved around less easily. Luca turned down almost all unnecessary social events and came home from work on time every day. He rubbed her back and feet, told her funny stories, walked with her, and took great care of her and the baby.

Leo got more sensible too. Every day after school, he'd run to Olivia first, gently touch her belly, and talk to the baby: "Little brother or sister, be good. Don't make Mommy uncomfortable. When you come out, I'll play with you, tell you stories, and protect you."

Seeing how serious Leo was, Olivia felt warm inside. She ruffled his hair and smiled. "Leo is such a good big brother. You have to take good care of your little brother or sister later, okay?"

"I know!" Leo said seriously. "I'll protect my little brother or sister and Mommy. No one will bully you."

Linus also made delicious, nutritious meals for Olivia every day in different ways. He walked with her, chatted to ease her worries, and made sure she was never uncomfortable.

Finally, the due date arrived. Olivia was rushed to the hospital. Luca waited outside the delivery room, super nervous. His hands clenched tight, palms sweaty, pacing back and forth nonstop. Linus and Leo waited too. Leo held Grandpa's hand and whispered, "Great-Grandpa, will Mommy be okay? I'm so worried."

Linus patted his head and smiled. "Don't worry, Mommy's tough. She'll be fine. We'll see your little sister or brother soon." Even though he said that, Grandpa was nervous too, eyes fixed on the delivery room door, dreading bad news.

Inside, Olivia was in pain, sweating all over, face pale. She gripped the bedsheet hard, bit her lip, but didn't cry out. Her only thought was to deliver the baby safely and not worry the family.

Time ticked by slowly. Outside, Luca got more tense—he could hear his own heartbeat. He kept praying for Olivia and the baby to be safe. Then, a loud baby cry came from the room. Luca froze, eyes wide, not believing his ears.

Soon, the doctor came out smiling. "Congratulations! It's a girl. Mom and baby are both fine. The baby's healthy and super cute."

Hearing that, Luca's heart settled. Tears of joy fell. He rushed to the doctor, voice shaky. "Thank you, doctor. How's my wife? Is she okay?"

"She's fine, just tired. She'll rest and be good," the doctor said with a smile.

Luca nodded and hurried in. Seeing Olivia on the bed, pale but smiling, he grabbed her hand, voice choked. "Olivia, you worked so hard. Thank you for giving me such a cute daughter."

Olivia smiled at him. "Not hard. Look at our daughter—she's so cute, right?" Her voice was soft and tired, but full of happiness.

The nurse brought the baby over and placed her by Olivia. Tiny bundle, eyes closed, looking just like Olivia in the brows and eyes, but nose and mouth like Luca—adorable. Luca reached out carefully, touched her little hand. It was soft and small. His heart filled up with love and joy. He never imagined such perfect happiness.

Outside, Linus and Leo heard and were thrilled. Leo jumped around. "Great-Grandpa! I have a little sister! I'm a big brother!"

Grandpa nodded with a smile, eyes joyful, wrinkles smoothing out. "Yes, you have a little sister. Be a good big brother and take care of her."

"I know!" Leo said proudly.

Olivia and the baby stayed in the hospital a few days, then went home.

At home, everyone fussed over the baby, treating her like a precious gem.

Luca felt even more sorry for Olivia and took even better care of her.

Before long, it was the baby's full month. Luca and Olivia decided to hold a cozy full moon banquet, inviting family and friends to celebrate the new life.

The party wasn't fancy or wasteful, but warm and inviting. Red balloons everywhere, baby's photos on display.

Friends and relatives came over with drinks, all smiling with real blessings, chatting and congratulating.

"Olivia, congrats! Your little girl is gorgeous—just like you as a kid!"

"Luca, you're living the dream—boy and girl, family complete!"

"This little princess has such lucky features. She's gonna be a beauty."

Olivia held her daughter, smiling gently, thanking everyone. Luca stood by her side, one hand protecting mom and baby, the other holding Leo's hand. His eyes were full of tenderness.

Emma pushed to the front, gently touched the baby's hand, grinning ear to ear. "Oh my god, too cute! Olivia, you're amazing. I'll be the little princess's godmother!"

Olivia laughed. "Sure, we'll need your help a lot."

Just then, Linus cleared his throat lightly. The noisy room quieted down fast—everyone knew he had something to say and turned to look.

Linus wore a neat dark Tang suit, looking sharp and energetic, holding the sleeping baby girl with a kind face.

He looked around and spoke slowly. "Thanks everyone for coming to my great-granddaughter's full moon banquet. The Vettel family is so complete today—it wasn't easy."

He glanced at the baby in his arms, then at wide-eyed Leo nearby, eyes even softer. "Today, I have no big gifts. Just something for the two kids."

Right away, the butler wheeled over two fancy gift boxes—clearly expensive. The room went quiet, everyone curious.

The butler opened the first one. No toys—just stacks of gold-embossed documents and a small seal.

Linus said deeply, "This is three school-district apartments in the city center, plus 3% of my shares in Vettel Group. Also, my private vineyard—now under Leo's name."

Everyone gasped, faces shocked.
