Chapter 108 Restarting the Live Stream
She quickly stepped out of the presidential suite and into the elevator, desperate to leave this suffocating place behind.
As she walked out of the hotel entrance, the morning sunlight stung her eyes, and she instinctively squinted.
Just then, a familiar car pulled up in front of her. The window rolled down, revealing Jason's face.
"Liv!" Jason spotted her, immediately pushed the car door open, and hurried over to her, looking her up and down. "Are you okay? He didn't do anything to you, did he?"
Seeing him, Olivia felt a warmth in her heart, and her eyes grew a little misty. "I'm fine. Sorry for making you worry."
"Good to hear." Jason let out a sigh of relief. "I went back last night and told Leo to have Sophia stay with him, and then came here to wait. I didn't dare leave."
He was worried Luca might do something to Olivia, and he didn't want her to be alone and in danger when she came out.
Olivia felt a wave of guilt. "I'm sorry for keeping you up all night."
"No need to apologize." Jason smiled. "Come on, get in. I'll drive you back."
Olivia nodded and got into the car.
The car moved smoothly along the road. Seeing her exhausted face, Jason couldn't help but ask, "What are you going to do next? Luca's definitely not going to let you off easily."
At the mention of Luca, Olivia's expression darkened. "What can I do? I can't lose the investment for the studio, so I'll just have to put up with it for now."
She paused, then added, "Clara has already agreed to invest, but the follow-up work seems to involve cooperating with the Vettel Group, which means dealing with Luca. But it's just business. I won't get involved in anything else with him, and I definitely won't fall for him."
After last night, all she felt toward Luca was disgust and caution. She wasn't about to let herself get caught up with him again.
Seeing the determination in her eyes, Jason felt a bit more at ease. "Alright, if you need any help, just let me know. I'm always here."
He actually wanted to tell Olivia to give up on this investment or even leave with him to get away from Luca.
But he knew the studio was her life's work, and she wouldn't abandon it easily.
All he could do was help her whenever she needed it.
From the top-floor window of the hotel, Luca watched the car driving off with a face so dark it could drip with anger.
He had been standing by the window, watching everything below.
Seeing how much Jason cared for Olivia, seeing them sitting together, talking and laughing, a surge of irritation and jealousy welled up inside him.
He pulled out his phone and called his assistant. "Look into what Jason has been doing since he returned to the country, and dig into his background—every detail. Also, find a way to keep him busy, so busy he won't have time to meddle in Olivia's affairs."
He couldn't let Jason stay by Olivia's side. This man was too much of an eyesore.
"Understood, sir," the assistant quickly agreed.
After hanging up, Luca stared out the window, his gaze deep and intense.
Olivia, you're mine. Even if it's just for work, I'll make sure you can only revolve around me.
When Olivia got home, Leo was still asleep.
She tiptoed into the bedroom and looked at her son's peaceful sleeping face. The exhaustion and frustration in her heart melted away a little.
As long as Leo was okay, nothing else seemed to matter that much.
She sat by the bed for a while until Leo woke up, rubbing his eyes.
"Mommy!" Leo saw her and instantly sat up excitedly, throwing himself into her arms. "You're finally back! I missed you so much last night!"
"I missed you, too." Olivia hugged him and kissed his cheek. "Sorry, Mommy had some things to take care of and came back late."
"It's okay!" Leo shook his head with a smile. "Sophia played with me and told me stories. I wasn't lonely at all."
Olivia ruffled his hair, her heart filled with comfort.
Leo was such a thoughtful kid.
"Mommy, why do you look unhappy?" Leo suddenly asked, his little hand gently touching her cheek. "Did something bad happen?"
Kids are always so observant, noticing something was off right away.
Olivia felt a warmth in her heart and forced a smile. "No, Mommy's just a little tired."
"Then you should rest, Mommy," Leo said sweetly. "I'll go draw and won't disturb you."
Seeing how sensible Leo was, Olivia felt a pang of sadness.
She suddenly remembered that before returning to the country, she had promised Leo they'd start livestreaming again to say hi to the fans once they settled in.
With all the studio business these past few days, she had completely forgotten about it.
"Sweetie," Olivia called out to him, "how about we start livestreaming today? Chat with the fans and let them see you."
Leo's eyes lit up. "Really? That's awesome! It's been so long since I've seen everyone!"
He always loved sharing his drawings with the fans and enjoyed the feeling of being liked by so many people.
Olivia nodded. "Of course it's real. Mommy will help you set it up now."
She took out her phone, set up the stand, and adjusted the angle to make sure only Leo and his easel were in the frame, not herself.
Once everything was ready, she nodded to Leo. "You can start now."
Leo waved at the camera excitedly, his soft voice chirping, "Hi everyone, I'm Leo! I'm back in the country!"
As soon as the livestream started, tons of fans flooded in, and the comments exploded.
"Wow! Little Leo is finally live! Missed you so much!"
"You're back? Welcome home! How's the scenery there?"
"Your drawings are getting better and better. Show us your new art!"
Leo looked at the comments, grinning so wide his eyes turned into little slits. He greeted the fans while picking up his crayons to start drawing.
"Today I'm going to draw sunflowers. Mommy loves sunflowers," he said as he drew, chatting with the fans.
Olivia sat on the couch nearby, watching her son's happy face. The gloom in her heart started to lift a little.
Meanwhile, back at his villa, Luca was feeling restless and irritated.
Just thinking about Olivia and Jason together made him uncomfortable, and his temples started throbbing again.
Instinctively, he grabbed his phone, wanting to watch Leo's livestream to calm himself down.
To his surprise, when he opened the app, he saw Leo was live, with the title "Back in the country! Drawing sunflowers for you all~."
Luca's heart stirred, and he clicked in.
Seeing the cute little boy on the screen and hearing his sweet, childlike voice, Luca's tense nerves instantly relaxed, and the pain in his temples slowly faded.
This little guy was the only one who could bring him peace.
Watching Leo draw with such focus, the irritation and jealousy in Luca's heart gradually disappeared, replaced by an inexplicable calm.
In the livestream, fans kept sending gifts, and Leo interacted with them from time to time. The atmosphere was lively.
Luca's finger moved, and he topped up a huge amount of credit, sending Leo ten of the most expensive rocket effects.
