Chapter 66 Not Representing Sleeping in Separate Beds

Because it was too late, nearby restaurants were already closed.

So, instead of leaving the hotel, Raymond took Sophia to the hotel kitchen.

The chefs had already finished work, but it didn't matter. He would do it himself.

The hotel kitchen had all the necessary ingredients.

He carried Sophia into the kitchen and placed her on a chair. He took off his suit jacket and casually threw it aside. Then, he rolled up his sleeves and went to the stove to start a fire. He put a pot on the stove, added water, and started boiling it to make soup.

After boiling for a period, he chopped the ingredients and added them to the soup, along with the appropriate seasonings.

Sitting in a chair, Sophia watched him as he cooked the soup like a true chef. She was fascinated and even forgot about the intense pain in her stomach.

In fact, the true patriarch of the Johnson Household was Scott, not Raymond.

When Raymond returned from studying abroad, the Johnson Household patriarch, who had a military background himself, sent him to the military. He hoped that Raymond would achieve success in the military and make the Johnson Household's business more secure.

Later on, Raymond unfortunately suffered serious injuries during a mission. His heart was damaged, and he could only lie in bed, relying on medical devices to sustain his life.

Later, Scott was in a car accident, and by the time he reached the hospital, it was too late.

So, Scott's heart was transplanted into Raymond's body, bringing Raymond back to life again.

- The car accident.

Suddenly, Sophia felt a sharp pain in her chest, even stronger than the pain in her stomach, causing her to close her eyes in agony.

They said that Scott had the accident while test-driving a smart car developed by Johnson Group after answering her phone call.

So, she was the one who caused Scott's death.

She was the killer of Scott.

However, she tried hard to remember what she had said to Scott at that time.

"Try it. How does it taste?"

As she contemplated, a familiar and gentle voice rang in her ears.

Sophia opened her eyes and looked at the man in front of her, tears suddenly streaming down her face.

"Raymond, did I really kill Scott?"

Watching the fragile Sophia in front of him, who seemed like a doll that would break with a touch, Raymond furrowed his brows. He didn't answer anything but just pushed the soup to her mouth again and said, "Drink it; it's not too hot."

The temperature of the soup quickly cooled down.

Looking at the steaming bowl of soup in his hands, Sophia forced a smile, opened her mouth, and began to drink the soup.

With one bowl of hot soup in her belly, she immediately felt much better.

Raymond scooped her another bowl.

Sophia looked at him as he fed her the soup and said with a smile, "If we weren't married, maybe we could have been friends."

"In this world, there are no 'ifs'," Raymond blew on the soup, brought it to his mouth, and then offered it to Sophia again. "Drink some more."

Sophia obediently opened her mouth and drank it.

"From now on, if you don't want to, I won't touch you," Raymond said as he scooped a spoonful of soup and brought it to her lips. "But you are my wife, and that won't change."

She looked at him, and Sophia smiled, her lips curled.

His meaning was clear – except for forcing her to have sex with him, she still had to obey everything else.

"You play your game, and I'll play mine?"

"No, you can only have me as your man," Raymond replied firmly, looking at her. The spoon remained in the same position, close to her lips, unmoving.

Looking at him, Sophia smiled again, cold but filled with intense hatred. "Raymond, if you dare to have sex with Freya in front of me again, I might just kill one of you."

"Alright." Raymond nodded without hesitation. He then changed the subject: "Finish the soup."

Sophia sneered but still opened her mouth and drank the soup.

After finishing two bowls of soup, Raymond carried Sophia back to the room.

However, it wasn't their original room, but the Presidential Suite on the top floor.

Sophia didn't struggle. When Raymond carried her into the suite's main bedroom, she saw her luggage placed to the side.

"If you're tired, just go to sleep." After placing Sophia on the bed, Raymond turned and left, leaving these words behind.

As she watched him leave, Sophia originally thought of locking the door.

But then she remembered the time in The Golden Palms when she locked the door, and he took care of her until she fell asleep. She simply smiled, got off the bed, grabbed her pajamas, and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

Since Raymond said he wouldn't force her anymore, she believed him this time.

When she finished showering and came out of the bathroom, she glanced up and saw that the man had already showered. He was leaning against the headboard with an iPad in his hand. She immediately turned and went to another bedroom.

"I said I won't touch you if you don't want to, but it doesn't mean we'll sleep separately."

However, after only taking two steps, Raymond's low and hoarse voice sounded from behind her.

Sophia stopped in her tracks, pondered for a moment, and then turned around. She walked to the other side of the large bed and silently lifted the corner of the blanket, lying down at the edge of the bed with her back towards Raymond.

Raymond stared at her back for a long time, then put down the tablet, turned off the bedside lamp, and lay down. He reached out and pulled the small woman at the edge of the bed into his arms, holding her tightly.

"Raymond."

"Quiet." Before Sophia's angry voice could drop, Raymond closed his eyes and calmly spoke, "I'm just holding you, goodnight!"

Feeling Raymond's breath on her ears hot, Sophia trembled slightly, no longer daring to struggle or move.

She was really tired, leaning against Raymond's warm chest, listening to Raymond's steady and long breath, and soon Sophia fell asleep.
