Setting the stage

Alan returned to the backyard to continue the target practice that has now turned into just fun for Nate and Charlotte. With nothing more to do, Alan stood and watched the two take turns hitting the target in various areas to challenge themselves as well as each other.

Inside the study, Bull, Axel, Seth, and Grayson discussed the matter in which to capture and move the target. Having pulled up the blue prints of the building and devised the route to the specific apartment, they began the work of coming up with tasks and design of how the mission would be completed.

"Guys.......this is going to be a simple in and out. We will take this route up using the elevator. The current security will be keeping the route clear for us. Once we arrive on the floor we will enter the room and use the stun gun to lay the perpetrator out. We will then work together to remove him from the building. He will be strapped to a wheelchair to make for a faster exit, we will wheel him directly into the waiting vehicle to take him to our next location for his punishment.", Bull said while pointing at the blue print.

"To be clear......we get to stun his ass even if he is passed out, right?", Grayson asked in a serious tone.

Bull nodded his head confirming, making Grayson smile like a child given candy.

"Okay so Axel is handling the cameras and any CCTV footage. Grayson is going to be on taser. Am I rolling the chair?.....................I'm rolling the chair aren't I?", Seth grumbled.

"You are rolling the chair.", Bull confirmed. "Alan will meet us at the second location. Nate will protect our girl here. The threat is only with this one person, I am confident in leaving her here."

"What time will we be ROLLING OUT?", Grayson said while staring at Seth with a grin on his face.

"You jackass! You said it like that on purpose!", Seth shouted as he took off after Grayson.

Flinging the doors open, Grayson took off running through the hallway and out the backdoor. Running directly to Alan, Grayson hid behind him.

"What? Would you two cut it out!", Alan reprimanded.

Using Alan as a shield, Grayson flug Alan forward toward Seth to get away however Alan was faster and spun around. Grabbing Grayson by the ear and turning to Seth whom covered his ears in record time. "You two are on my last nerve!", Alan said as he pulled Grayson by the ear back toward the house. Seth followed closely without removing his hands from his ears.

Walking into the study Alan stopped and looked at Bull. Moving his eyes to each side of him to point at Grayson and Seth, he then turned to Bull for assistance.

Smiling Bull said, "Okay....Okay.....I will take it from here."

Alan took a deep breath and sighed as he released Grayson making his way back to the backyard.

Grayson rubbed his extremely red ear as he frowned like a punished child.

"Man.......he is scary sometimes. Pretty sure this is what having a Mother feels like.", Seth followed up.

Bull smiled while shaking his head at the two unfortunate men that just got in trouble.

Alan stomped back to the training area where Nate and Charlotte were waiting.

"Everything good?", Charlotte asked while trying not to laugh.

Alan rolled his eyes, "Those two.......*sigh*...all is well."

"We are out of ammo, so I think we may be done for the day.", Charlotte spoke up.

Alan showed complete surprise as he looked at Nate for confirmation and received a head nodd verifying this information."

"Hmmm......okay then. That will be all for the day. You both may head back and I will get this cleared away.", Alan stated happily.

Nate stepped forward, "Let me help."

Alan shook his head, "Take her in. She is your priority. I will handle this."

"Okay.", Nate said as he and Charlotte began the walk back to the house.

Entering into the house they both went directly to the study. Finding Bull and the guys there discussing and planning.

"What's up?", Charlotte asked.

Grayson and Seth looked at each other then back to Bull.

"We found him. The one that orchestrated the attack. Tonight we will execute a mission to take care of him. The threat will be eliminated.", Bull said with confidence.

Charlotte thought about what she had just been told and responded, "What am I to do? Is there some part that I can help with?"

Bull stood up straighter, "You are to stay here with Nate. He will be your detail while we are out. All the rest of the team will be on the mission...........you understand this is best to keep not only you safe but also us....."

Charlotte could see the sincerity in his eyes and smiled at him. "I understand. If this is my way of keeping you all safe, then that is what I will do."

"I will not let you down.", Nate said with pride.

Bull walked forward and ruffled both Nate and Charlotte's hair like a father would. He then stepped back and looked at them with a twinkle in his eye.

"Why don't we all have lunch, then you can have a conference call with your Father?", he said calmly.

Charlotte jumped up and down with happiness. She really missed her Father and seeing his face would put her worries about his travels at ease. She had been concerned that he would try to come back home while this mess was happening and possibly put himself in danger. Knowing the threat is about to be taken away, gave her hopes that she may be able to see him before she goes back to University.

Nate smiled at the way her eyes danced with joy. He hoped to keep her safe and happy all of her life.

Reaching over Charlotte grabbed Nate's hand and began leading him to the dining room. Let's go eat! Feeling a bit of shock, Nate looked around and found the rest of the Team smiling at him in his awkwardness.

Stepping into the dining room, they all had a seat. Alan joined them and proceeded to give a side eye to Grayson and Seth whom then returned angel like smiles back at him.

As the food arrived at the table, they all became excited. The fried chicken with all the sides came out of the kitchen and made it's way to the table. Without hesitation they all reached up and began making the plates as they passed the sides without a word between them.

Truly being a well oiled machine when together, they are the perfect family.

Lunch continued until each one had become completely satisfied. Leaning back against their chairs one by one, they were all very content in that moment.

Leaning forward Charlotte cleared her throat, "Can we wait to have dinner until you guys return?.................................I don't think I will be able to eat without knowing all is well."

They all exchanged glances with each other before smiling sweet smiles at their little girl. "Sure.", They all said together.

"Yay!", showing her happiness by making tiny claps with her hands.
