When Tessa woke up the next morning, both her husbands were asleep in chairs next to her. She put her hand across her mouth and began to sob, seeing Jacob was a miracle. She was overwhelmed with joy.But, having werewolves for mates meant that nothing was sacred, not even your silent tears of joy. Her heavy breathing and the tears she tried so hard to suppress woke them both.

Jacob was the first to come to her side. He wiped the crusty, blood tinged hair out of her face and said, “What is it Tessa? Is everything ok? Are the babies alright?”

Tessa nodded her head yes. Then Logan sat next to Tessa in bed and began rubbing the side of her leg. “ What’s wrong sweetheart?”

Tessa sucked back her tears then said, “I’m just so happy. I can’t believe we’re all together again.”

Jacob took her hand in both of his and kissed it. “I love you Tessa. Everything’s going to be great.”

Tessa looked at Logan, “Oh Logan, you’re a good man. Thank you for all this. I know what you had to give up for me and I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

“Tessa, you...our family is all that matters to me. What I gave up was nothing. Do you hear me? Nothing. Only this matters,” Logan said as he put his hand on Tessa’s belly. "We will build a new life here just like we did there. All of us, together."

Tessa said, “ I don’t know what I did to deserve you both , but I’d like to know so I can do it again.”

Then, Logan leaned down and kissed her forehead. "You don't need to do anything, we're the lucky ones Tessa. Me and Jacob, there is no better woman. None."

Tessa smiled and ran her hand through her crusty hair. “Oh I need a bath. Do you think I could take a bath?” asked Tessa.

“Imara should be here in a bit, we’ll ask her,” said Jacob.

“I can’t believe Eliza’s parents are here as well, that’s so funny,” said Tessa.

“Why’s that?” asked Jacob.

“Our son is engaged to Eliza,” said Tessa.

“No shit,” said Jacob, “ Imara and Ben, they’re great people. You know Ben’s one of us Logan.”

“Yeah, Eliza told me," said Logan.

“I wish I could be there, Oh my baby. I’m going to miss everything,” she said and then began crying again.

“Shh..darlin don’t cry,” said Jacob. “He’ll understand. He wants you to be safe.” Logan said, “ Tessa, Jacob loves you. He knows you’d be there if you could.”

“I know, it’s just we just got him back. I miss him so much Logan.”

“I know you do. I wish I could make this better Tessa.”

Tessa wiped her face and looked away from them both. Just then, Imara came through the door.

“Oh no what’s this Tessa? What’s wrong?” asked Imara.

Logan said, “Eliza and our son are supposed to be getting married. Tessa is upset she won’t be able to be there.”

Imara said, “ I completely understand Tessa, try not to worry yourself dear. You’ll see that in the very long scheme of things, it’s not that big a deal. They have to do what’s best for them, just like we have to do what’s best for us right now. They want you to be happy and healthy. You need to focus on that.”

“I will, I will. Thank you for taking care of me Imara,” said Tessa. “Do you think I could get a bath now? I’m such a mess.”

“Of course, I think that’s a great idea. You two can take her home now. Just make sure she rests. I don’t want her worrying herself too much. She still has a few months to go, So I want you both to spoil her rotten.”

Jacob said, “ Absolutely. Do you mind if I’m your chariot this time? It’s been a long time since I got to hold you."

“Are you sure. I’m as big as a house now,” said Tessa.

“I’ll be ok.”

Jacob leaned down and Tessa put her arms around his neck as he lifted her into his arms. He still smelled of jasmine and chocolate and babies. Tessa pressed her nose into him and took a deep breath. “I’m real Tessa.”

“I know,” she said, “I just had to make sure.”

Logan followed behind. He was feeling a lot of emotions, but for once it wasn’t jealousy. He was so happy to have his brother back, that Tessa and his children were going to be alright. Honestly, he was a bit relieved. Jacob didn’t have children, he had no idea what was coming. The diapers, the sleepless nights. It would be nice to have another set of hands and eyes watching over them all and he trusted no one like he did Jacob.

When they got to their home, Logan opened the door and let them in. “Do you want to lay on the couch or go to bed sweetheart?” asked Jacob.

“Oh the couch is fine really. I don’t want to lay down again yet.”

Jacob knelt down and set Tessa on the couch then backed away as Logan brought her a blanket and pillow. He picked up her feet and shoved a pillow under her legs and said, “Is that ok?”

“Yes it’s fine thank you,” said Tessa as she smiled at him. Logan grinned back at her then laid the blanket across her legs.

Jacob said, “I’m going to go run you a bath Tessa. I’ll be back in a few," before disappearing into the hall

Logan sat beside Tessa and took her hand then kissed it. “I love you Tessa. I love you so much.”

“I know Logan. Are you really sure about all this? I love Jacob but I’m not willing to do anything that destroys what we have. If you can’t do this then tell me now. I won’t do anything you don’t want me to Logan.”

“Tessa I'm sure sweetheart. Living without Jacob all these years was hard for both of us, but we got him back. This is a gift. A miracle. We were all meant to be together and I'm not going to let that go again. All these years you’ve taken care of me Tessa. Taken care of our babies, the Pack. You’ve done everything I’ve ever asked of you. Just let us take care of you now sweetheart. That’s our job.”

Tessa smiled and said, “ I love you Logan. You do take care of me. But you don’t need to worry anymore, we’re here now. All that danger is over.”

“Tessa I’m always gonna worry about you,” said Logan.

"That's why I love you so. You're so good to me. Such a good father. What would I ever do without you Logan?"

"It's funny now huh?" asked Logan. The way things started for us, how volatile things were. Everything we went through. It made us stronger. I knew I loved you the moment I met you Tessa, but this, what we have now, is so much more. You're my soulmate. I'm so sorry that Jacob missed all this. It breaks my heart. We need to make it up to him."

Tessa smiled and her eyes became teary. "There's time. We have all of eternity to make things right Logan."
